Bad review this Thursday. Missing sauces and a terrible Philly. Not quitting them but come on. Bad showing.

    Here is your sign Gabriela!

I wandered in here for the 1st time ever for lunch today. I'm so glad I did!! The beer is ice cold and Candace the bartender is so sweet and very attentive. The pizza was delicious! I have to address a post I read from Gabriela, I had to laugh at most of her review even before I walked in this place. Maybe you were refused service for a reason. And it's sketchy that you "left for an hour" in and of itself. And as for the pizza. I took a picture of two signs that would have explained a lot to you. You get free cheese pizza with every drink and they have the right to refuse service to anyone, even you princess. Anyway, this place was a nice atmosphere, an over 21 crowd which is nice if you're trying to relax and not deal with other peoples kids and it is smoke free at this point.

NEVER AGAIN. Went in yesterday to celebrate a friends birthday and check out this place since we never been. Met a few other people there who were super friendly and playing pool with. Having a good time at first, ordered some pizza and other food. Fries were soggy and cold. The pizza looked and tasted mediocre. The drinks were great though. One of the younger women with brown hair originally was attending us and was nice enough to turn on the music box on so we could play some songs. They had asked not to play anything too aggressive, which was no problem for us at all. we just played country and we're having a good time for my friends birthday. Across from us was these older group of people. One of the lady's just kept staring us down the whole time trying to make us feel like outsiders and giving dirty looks. Hahah. We all noticed it because she couldn't have made it more obvious. Don't know what her deal was but that's her problem. We ended up spending a bit of time here after we checked out with the food and all... we still wanted some beer and to play pool and just hang out and take it easy. Also no restaurant I HAVE EVER BEEN TO ADDS PIZZA SLICE AFTER EVERY BEER/DRINK I BUY ON THE RECEIPT!! That to me is very weird...ALWAYS CHECK IT! Anyways because we originally were enjoying the vibes and playing pool and meeting some friendly locals.. we all had even mentioned that this was going to be our go to place for pool and drinks... up until one of your bartenders... the attitude and unprofessionalism from this guy.. dark haired man with the beard. After we paid our food bill and all... Never were we once rude to this guy... he took over briefly attending us when we were sitting at the table for food after the other young girl with brown hair so I don't know why he just became unprofessional after once we were done eating and trying to hit the actual bar for a beers were just there to celebrate our friends birthday and take it easy. None of us were blacked out drunk or being an issue. One of my friends and I stepped out of the bar for about an a hour, we were not drinking. Driving somewhere. Gone for an hour. The rest of our friends stayed behind there and went up to the bar area. My sister was refused service by this guy. He is picky and choosy on how many drinks someone can buy apparently. My sister asked for a beer and he refused and didn't want to tell her why and kept avoiding when she simply ask how come? After My friend and I came back I was like let's get another beer and play some pool or figure out our next move.. well the same guy again REFUSED TO LET ME get a beer, along with my friend... I asked why? I just got back into the bar from being gone for an hour with this friend. He said he can't serve me anymore and not my friend either. Refused to tell me why when asked, refused to acknowledge anything as someone who is ruining business.. ASKED FOR HIS NAME, HE REFUSES TO GIVE IT UP. Asked multiple times and he won't and ignores customers, doesn't want to serve them because he's picky and choosy on who gets this much or who gets this little. First time I ever been to a bar that someone pulls this on me and us...this lady who was sitting next to my sister and was hearing what was going on.. she pulled closer to us and she told us the same thing. That this guy was being a jerk to her friend. He stopped serving her friend and kept refusing. Just ignored her friend and didn't give any reason to why.. just walks away from you and has that don't care attitude. it gets better... there was also other workers who were off the clock and some still at work... one of the workers even was like what is this guy thinking, he couldn't do anything about it but I heard from him too that this guy can be a issue with customers and he doesn't understand why he's like that or does these things to paying customers. He said he's seen it gone on before with this bearded man. He literally picks and chooses who gets what. The other man was so nice enough to guide to me a bar who actually appreciates business from customers and told me that what his bartender is doing isn't right, additionally 2 other workers also told me that they don't understand what the problem is with this guy. He's done this to other customers, other workers say he's an issue with people and he does this all the time.... We all heard the stories about other customers and workers just makes this business look bad. It sucks because I really did like the mellow chill environment here and the pool tables, met some really friendly folks here but the one person who I'm giving business too just not made me want to return again... TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

The vibe and atmosphere was stellar. The staff were more than friendly and knew their craft beers! We tried some new flavors and were made undeniable fans. I ordered a plate of Duck Fat Fries. This is a total game changer! Even more so, dipping them golden fried sticks in Truffle Mayo... as Buford T. Justice would say... SUMBITCH. And that homemade ketchup? So good it made me want to go smack Junior's mama. We also ordered the Crawfish Dip. It was disgustingly scrumpdidallyumtious!!! Pure flavor profile explosion in my mouth. Never had anything like that before. My wife and I also decided to split a Smash Burger and that thick cut bacon with juicy beef patties... damn. One of the most memorable and satisfying experiences I've ever had, and I haven't even talked about the drinks. My eyes sparkled when I seen a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned on the menu. A must try. ER MA GAWD!!! One of the best I've ever had... everrrrrr! We also ordered the Cinn-Full Cran Hard Cider by Locust... I now have to find this... just have to! My FIL ordered an ice cream treat with three spoons... lol. Everyone had to give it a try. We ended up ordering a growler of the State Street Blonde to go, and it lasted a day. Unbelievable. While passing through on a road trip, my local friend recommended Pecan Point and I'm glad I went. Located in downtown, you'll find free street parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the inside is spacious and casual. I ordered the raspberry Chipotle smash burger ($16), peach cobbler, and a flight of beer and cider ($10). What made this burger stand out was the raspberry Chipotle sauce and fried jalapeños! The flight includes four 4oz pours of any draught and mine were Irish red ale, Pecan Pointe ale, bock beer, and apple cider. The Irish red was my favorite and the Pecan Pointe my least. I would have liked the cobbler to be a little more crunchy, but was still enjoyable. I recommend and will visit again when in town.

So, we ended up here--the only place open that wasn't serving up blackjack with a side of fries. First up: water. Now, if you've never had Louisiana tap water, let me tell you--it tastes like someone steeped a bag of potting soil in it for 12 hours. I was about to blame this restaurant until a little Google dive informed me that most of Louisiana water just tastes like this due to geosmin and MIB (algae bloom byproducts, apparently). Fun fact that nobody asked for, but here we are. Anyway, we pivoted HARD to cocktails. I ordered a Belvedere martini, which was well-made by Dustin but oddly expensive considering this wasn't exactly a swanky downtown hotspot. For dinner: Hubbs went for shrimp fettuccine, and while it was fine, it didn't exactly make us want to write home about it. I, on the other hand, ordered Natchitoches meat pies, thinking they'd be the real deal imported from the famous place there. Oh, how naive I was. Instead, they were sad little impostors, baked instead of fried, and just...meh. Final bill: almost $100 for four drinks and two average entrées. If we're dropping that kinda cash, I'd prefer a meal that didn't require an emergency cocktail switch just to recover from the water.
