I've only been here once just to try it and never again, food was okay and interior was nice but my main complaint is the servers/ front desk person. We went on a weekend about 2 and a half hours before they closed that day and the look we got from the people up front and our soon to be waitress was so off putting and heavy with judgement looking us up and down blatantly with no smiles either because we came in 2 and some hours before closing or (I would hope not) racially motivated so from the start I was like okay that was weird, but maybe they're just tired. Unfortunately our waitress was cold and unresponsive to us the whole time, she took my mother's order with a stone cold annoyed face and didn't even say "okay gotcha! Is there anything else?" Nope, just wrote it down and looked to me before my mother was finished so when my mother wasn't quite done adding specifics to her order she got visibly annoyed and didn't even turn to look at her as if it was too much of an effort to do so and didn't acknowledge that she got it. After this another waitress came over and said she'd be taking over instead, we thought that was okay maybe it's a rough day for our last waitress and the new waitress gave us our drinks. Unfortunately that was the last time we got drinks, the waitress never came back to refill after she gave us our food or when we were half way through our meal so no one came to check on us again. My mother had to go find someone to help us and that was just off putting since it was our first time here. Every time I pass this place when I'm in town I just get a sour feel from it now and completely pass, I wish it was a better experience but the looks we were given by a couple workers just really didn't sit well with me and I hope in the future it's more welcoming to everyone no matter the time or person. read more

Stopped in for breakfast on Saturday morning with mom and baby sister. Not busy, no wait and plenty of tables. When we walked in, 3 employees were standing at the front desk area just watching us. It was NOT a very warm welcoming. Finally, someone said they'd be with us in a moment. We walked over and sat down. Our waitress came over and we ordered two coffees and a hot chocolate. We also asked for half and half and a sugar dispenser. Everything came but we all needed silverware. Our waitress went to another table who just got their food and needed silverware too. She also grabbed a tea from their table to top it off. She refilled it and brought it back to their table. Left and went to another table who needed a to-go box. She returned with their to-go box and went to prepare silverware. She made two and dropped those off to the table who had just gotten their food. At this point, the whip cream had steeped into the hot chocolate and the coffees were not steaming anymore. When she returned back to the table she didn't have the silverware but was ready to take our order. Silverware should be the first thing brought to the table. We left. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by Lori who seated me. My order was taken quickly and food was brought out in less than 10 minutes even though there was a moderate amount of customers. I order the Texan Benny and added Canadian bacon. It was delicious. Hollandaise sauce was very creamy and hash browns were perfect. Service was very friendly and there was no wait; they have a good sized dining room. Eggs Benedict was average, good but not the best I have had. It could use thicker English muffins and ham, and more Hollandaise (can you ever have too much?) I tasted my husband's pancakes and they were nice and fluffy. On our previous visit I had the chicken and waffles and these too were ok but not amazing. I want to go back and try the Nutella French toast. My daughter and I wanted to eat breakfast at a new place. I checked YELP and found this place. So happy we did! The place is just down the street from the historic downtown part so parking was much easier. Although it was really busy we only had a short wait. Our waitress, Karen, was outstanding! She got our coffee out quickly. There is a dedicated food runner so you don't have to wait for your waitress to bring the food. The food was phenomenal! My daughter got an egg white omelette, fruit, and a biscuit. I got the Lone Star Benedict with grits. I have a picture of mine. I would recommend this place for breakfast! The food was fresh and hot. Came here on a Tuesday late-morning 10/25 for the first time for breakfast. Upon being seated, the waitress gal took our drink orders without allowing us to look at the menu. Why is she that much in a hurry? When my husband asked for a latte, instead of nicely saying they don't have anything other than drip coffee, she rudely responded to him. Sorry to have annoyed her so much when she didn't even allow us to look at the menus yet. We are new to DFW area so this was not very welcoming at all. She brought me a glass of orange Juice with lipstick on the glass - the glass was not fully washed. Gross. We will give the drip coffee 2-3 stars. The food plate portions were not too large which is probably a good thing but the food quality was not the greatest. The gentleman (asian ethnicity) was quite helping when we need an extra side of something....while the waitress ignored our table and followed up with other tables. We got really bad vibes from this waitress which is unfortunate- we are friendly people who tip extremely well. She didn't deserve the smaller tip we did leave which was about 15% or so. I don't think we will return because of that experience and because the food was just so so. read more

Our waitress took our complete order without writing anything down and all was correct. Pancakes were fluffy like a cloud on a beautiful Saturday. My iron man Omelet, I added pulled pork, which was phenomena, along with bacon and jalapeños, which is why I said amazing she took our order without writing it down. The omelet was HUGE!! The restaurant is an old Braums, which is pretty clear from the outside, but you might not know it from the inside, as they've done a great job with the remodel.
