Coffee was excellent - I had a vanilla bean latte and my friend had black coffee. Only reason I'm taking off a star is because I had to wait over 15 minutes for my drink. I totally understand being busy and if I had known it was going to take that long for a cafe drink [versus drip coffee], I would have ordered differently. I think when it's an unusually long wait, it's nice to let a customer know so they have that expectation or so they can order something easy and not have to wait as long. Otherwise, great spot. Indoor is super cute and staff was friendly. If I lived in Bend I'd probably come here a lot. read more

We arrived at about 7:25am on Monday morning, which seemed to be perfect timing because as we were waiting for our order a line formed that when out the door. Appears to be popular with locals. We ordered 2 Lattes , 2 Croissants, and a Cardamom Roll. Came to about $22. I tried the Maple Latte...it was mildly sweet which I really appreciated but the espresso lacked character. My husband expressed the exactly same sentiment of his plain Latte. Very decent yet average Lattes. The cardamom roll was really good. The Cashier said it was a favorite, and I see why. The croissant was good just a tab over baked. The space itself was cute, lively, green, and had plenty of seating. Overall, if you're a big fan of the big chain coffee shops, you'll really enjoy this place and it would like the change in scenery. read more

You don't need to squeeze raw cashew and oat milk from the teet of an exotic yak from Mount Everest every day for your coffee. In fact, the flavor of this mixture is too acidic and overpowering. Best matcha I've had in Bend so far! It's always hard to find real matcha that's not sweetened. My boyfriend also said this was the best cappuccino he's had in Bend so far as well. Definitely recommend and also super friendly staff! OH and the avocado toast was great too. read more

Biggest piece of advice = get the waffle! It's the best I've ever had it's got the flavor of a delicious honey croissant with the puffy flaky texture of a great waffle. The tea was served in a cute cast iron pot - it could have steeped a tad longer. My partner enjoyed the drip coffee (one Kenyan, one Guatemalan) both days we went. I was in Bend over the weekend and needed a quick coffee early one morning. Lone Pine was minutes from my Airbnb and open early. The place is really nice inside. High ceilings with lots of wood and plants makes it very inviting and calm. The staff at the register were extremely pleasant and welcoming. I ordered a maple latte and it was excellent. Outstanding coffee and well made drinks. I had both drip and an espresso drink (single origin cortado). They were each fantastic. I think the drip was an washed Guatemalan, but there was some confusion from the baristas. It was a very juicy brew with perfect acidity in my opinion, bright, but not too much so...not too tart. The espresso was a natural, which is a real treat because I don't see those often in New York. It was delicious, and the milk texture was on point. Servers were very nice, the place is great--very comfortable--and all the prices, including for bags of beans were a steal for this level of quality. After a float trip, going to this shop is the #1 thing I would do if I got back to bend. read more

Unfortunately, the owner decides what additions you can have in your coffee! He has an alternative "milk" you can add if you are looking for non-dairy, which some people love and I abhor. I have talked with him twice about this and he refuses to serve soy, almond, oat, or help milk alternatives. Okay, so the coffee and atmosphere is mostly spectacular. I love the roll up doors & windows that seem to be so prevalent in Bend. Whenever I travel, I try to eschew the inevitable coffee chains (aka Starbucks and Dutch Bros). Local business is my love. When I can locate an actual roaster and shop, that is my heaven. This little spot has a lovely, diverse menu. I love the gift options of local honeys and potted plants. Those are the sorts of gifts my children appreciate when I travel. My first job was with a San Francisco Bay Area coffee roaster, we sold both retail and wholesale and my friends still miss the art that was my lattes... before paper cups, pretentious lingo and plastic lids as the norm ruined the industry (thanks Starbucks). I'm working toward the loss of one star. Before I go there, Zachara (sp?) is lovely and definitely a keeper. Promote her, pay her well, she is just the sort of person who makes mornings better. Now star loss, Thursday morning I stopped by, uncaffeinated, before my drive back to San Francisco... it was a whirlwind trip to bring my pup for training at Flash Dog Training in Redmond, OR (also a must use business as is Bridge 99 Brewery if you're in the vicinity). So, here I am, no caffeine stuttering while trying to remember what I wanted. The Vanilla latte with Cashew milk. Young man, grunge throwback, who took my request.... Condescendingly states "wow only the most cliche drink" - this is not the way you speak to clientele son. Perhaps you think you're profound and counterculture with your place of employment and 90's throwback look? Perhaps you disdain the basic white girl request as "cliche"? Do you know why it's cliche? Because it tastes freaking delicious. I'll make my golden milk at home thank you. When ordering out, I want the pretty vanilla latte. Enjoy your faux depth, and clever clever moment. I'll sip my vanilla latte remembering when I saw Pearl Jam open for Nirvana and RHCP... when I skated through Justin Herman Plaza the night Bono defaced it, or the first Lollapalooza and the multitude of experiences I enjoyed funded by my job at Walsh's, where we all had amazing biceps because the espresso machine required a giant levy pull and carrying, stacking and packaging garbage cans full of freshly roasted beans. All in all, I will return... and I encourage you to visit as well - remember to order the super cliche Vanilla latte, half-sweet with the cashew/almond milk blend it was lovely. Best enjoyed while rocking Ugg's and an infinity scarf while dreaming of Fall and pumpkin spice season (just kidding I was in Adidas and a tank). Lone Pine offers great coffee with lovely latte art. I ordered a Mocha (4 stars), and my husband ordered a Vanilla Bean Latte (4 stars). I love coffee shops that also offer delicious pastries too. The Kouign-Amann (5 stars) was what you expect from a good quality kouign-amann that included flaky layers with a delicious sugary exterior. I liked that they also sold The Sparrow Bakery's Ocean Roll (5 stars). I immediately loved the delicious pastry flavored with cardamon, vanilla, and sugar. The 5 star service included an upbeat and friendly staff. They knew their menu well and were ready to make any recommendations. It's a 4.5 star coffee shop, but I'm rounding up because it's a spot worth returning to. read more

This place - is amazing! I really wish I could give them 5/5 stars because everything about it is #aesthetics! The shop is super cute and very nicely laid out. I would love to sit and study/read here! The drinks are DELICIOUS! I was in Bend with my bf for a week and we came here - every. single. day. He typically gets americanos and he loves their espresso beans. I got their vanilla bean latte the first day and I was HOOKED! They have their own vanilla bean syrup and I LOVED it! You can actually see the beans in the latte when they pour it out and you can really taste it. LOVE IT! Highly recommended! They don't have anything except the whole milk (and almond milk?) The only reason I docked 1 star is a partially due to service and partially due to the long wait. For 2 drinks, it is a bit of a wait (maybe 10-15 mins? and there's no one else in the store). The other, is the service. There IS a bit of pressure to add tip because they blatantly ask and even if I want to add tip, it does feel make feel a bit uncomfortable if you ASK me how much tip I'm leaving. The other is the fact that they don't know what goes into their baked goods (since it's made from a bakery offsite). We wanted to order some but none of the staff knew if there were nuts/peanuts? And since my bf is allergic, we didn't risk it. Shame. Plus, they don't sell the homemade vanilla syrup! And when I asked the barista taking my order, he gave me quite a bit of attitude for asking. OK I hate giving the a three star but I don't wanna give it a four star. Now let's just say the old clichet yelp her thing I wish they had half stars I know I know literally the list of things people hate hearing on the yelp review. This place was good not great. I really expected more from the reviews and what it look like. I'm a simple guy I like to just go grab a cold brew a nitro brew, a black coffee maybe add a little bit of cream nothing fancy. Don't get me wrong I love milk-based drinks, but more often than not. I just want something to sip on for a long time that isn't going to be a bunch of dairy. Now we stopped in here grabbed a couple drinks and they were good. They were all right when it comes to price though I expected a little more in this bracket. We all know coffee prices are up there and when you go to the top tier pricing, you expect to be wowed a little bit and I just don't think I was wowed now that is just basing it off of bare beans... maybe if they fix everything up real nice with a bunch of fancy bar tricks it might be a little better. Stopped in for a quick breakfast sorta thing on my road trip, they had a great gluten free brownie, and while i meant to ask for an iced latte I got a hot latte, but was pleasantly surprised by it. This is a super cute place, right off of the 97. We couldn't find a coffee shop that does pour overs or French press coffee in Bend so this looked like the next best place to try. We got the Guatemalan drip coffee and it was surprisingly delicious! We would stop here again for a solid cuppa coffee. They roast on the premises and it was fun to peek in the roasting room.
