Meh. Nice looking place and cool layout. We tried 3 drinks including a cortado (my benchmark) and they were all watery. The food items were sparse and short on flavor. The worst part was the bored and indifferent staff. If you can't muster some friendliness for caffeine seekers then you should get a job feeding boilers in a middle school basement. read more

I was visiting bend for a quick weekend get away from Portland rain and came here based on a rec from a local. It was so good we came back both mornings! I got a hazelnut latte and vanilla latte and both were amazing. Not overly sweet. Just a hit of flavor. Their homemade dairy free milk is so delicious. Will be coming back my next trip! read more

We visited Lone Pine for some tea one night, and the service was excellent, personable, natural. The tea was delicious too (Metolius teas). We returned the next morning for coffees and the place was packed, but the service remained the same: warm and with the same sense of urgency to keep the line moving without ignoring anyone. Phenomenal cortados and their waffles are quite the treat. Added bonus: the whole place is filled with plants and all/most of them are for sale. read more

Coffee enthusiast here: Lone Pine may have the best latte I've had in the state of Oregon. Smooth, slightly nutty, perfect foam. 10/10. Try the waffles! read more

Check out the Friday and Saturday apero hours--wine, beer and light fare. It's a beautiful, calm and comfortable setting for a chill evening. read more

Weak, unflavoreful and a completely waste of money. I have tried on multiple occasions and has been the least flavorful, aromatic, coffee & I would not recommend it. read more

We went here two days in a row while traveling in Bend. I seek out coffee shops wherever I go and this place had great coffee, yummy and different food and a cool yet comfy vibe. Highly recommend. read more

My Mocha was mediocre and they ran out of whip cream. My wife's Chai was okay. Boring looking pastries with too many gluten free options. Nice interior atmosphere. A bit overpriced compared to competition. No punch cards for frequent flyers. That's cheap. Why return? I see no reason! read more

Let me start off saying this is my first day living in Bend. So I was pretty excited to get out and start my day. Coffee was pretty good. Honestly, I took off stars because the staff was not friendly, they seemed like they didn't even want to be there, and actually bordered on rude. Nobody wants to wake up and start their day to that. Thank you for the coffee, but I won't make it a point to stop back. read more

I came because of the reviews and stayed for the atmosphere. I went in around 10 expecting it to be packed. It was cozy and a few open seats, but quiet. The coffee was amazing and I recommend the bagel! I definitely can't wait to try the rest of their pastries. read more

Lone Pine Coffee Roasters - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Bend, Oregon

My friend and I came into town for a New Year's getaway from Portland, and were walking around downtown when we found this cute spot! It's in an alley, but the outside is easy to see (it has a little sign that says "coffee" and a blue exterior). When you step inside, there're plenty of tables and a couch in the corner, and a cozy vibe overall. We both ordered lattes, and I loved mine! I got the vanilla bean latte, and it was delicious. We didn't get any pastries, but it looked like they had a nice assortment of local goodies to munch on! But I'd highly recommend this spot. It was delightful! read more

Lone Pine Coffee Roasters - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Bend, Oregon

Do you think there are more coffee roasters or breweries in Bend? That might be a question to ponder over a serving of your favorite brew - be it coffee or beer. My hubby asked it today as we enjoyed a cup of coffee and baked goods (from local bakers Sparrow and Tula) at this little coffee house operated by Lone Pine Coffee Roasters. We've enjoyed Lone Pine coffee before, at the NW Crossing Saturday Farmers Market, and we've purchased their ground coffee for home brewing. But this was our first visit to the little coffee house located in the alley between Minnesota and Franklin Streets in Bend's downtown. In addition to the Sparrow and Tula bakery goodies, Lone Pine makes sandwiches daily - apparently always one vegetarian and one non vegetarian variety, each with a trilogy of ingredients. (Today's trilogy options were turkey-tomato-avocado or bell pepper-tomato-avocado.) They use Bread LaVoy (a Sparrow affiliated bread bakery) baguettes for the sandwiches so they are GOOD things. Very reasonable prices and nice people work here. An added bonus is a little bench outside for outdoor sipping and noshing on a nice day. As to the question that opened this review - the paper today announced a pending 10th Micro Brewery...but there still may be as many coffee roasters. We don't know the answer to the question. read more

Ordered 2 iced caramel lattes and they were so good! Had a different and fresher taste than something like a Starbucks. Loved the inside and the fact that you could buy plants. It was pretty crowded when we went but the wait wasn't long. read more

After trying, and not enjoying, the coffee at Thump, we walked here. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. The coffee was excellent. Pastries were big fluffy baked goods from Sparrow and Foxtail. Everyone was friendly and well informed. You can view the roasting operation while waiting for your coffee. Some inside seating. A great choice for coffee and a comfortable place to enjoy it. read more

This is quite literally the best cup of coffee I've had from a small business. Their beans are roasted fresh, and all the employees are so sweet! read more

Cutest coffee shop. Accommodated our large order. Very much a neighborhood feel and delicious baked goods from a local bakery.

I love the coffee here but why are the employees rude? My husband and I joke because we're never greeted when we walk in, the employees just stare at us. Pros: awesome drip coffee, amazing waffles, fresh whole beans for purchase. Cute location. Cons: customer service could be better. There are a lot of coffee shops in Bend, a smile once and a while would be nice. read more

This was Worst place I've ever been I walked into the door with my service dog with her vest on they did not even greet me I got to the counter the girl was this Rude, No Customerservice at all, she stated I'm sorry You can't stay .. ! I said my dog is Service Animal, I can provide you with her IDs she said please let me see them, mind you she still never said said Hi, may I help you..help you. Once I showed her IDs she proceeded to say how may help you .. At the point my friend and I decided this is Not where we Want Purchase/Spend Any Money Please Get Better Customerservice read more

I visited Bend last week with my girlfriend - and she is a coffee snob. She turns her nose up to Starbucks, Coffee Bean, and the other conglomerates. Thus, we searched for the best coffee spot in town... and found it in Lone Pine. You walk in and it smells like fresh waffles and the baristas welcome with you a smile... and they even recommended a great breakfast spot for us to try (Jackson's Corner... a must). I got the Rose Tea and my girlfriend enjoyed a drip coffee... which she loved. Subsequently, we visited this each morning we were in Bend. I loved the atmosphere, the energy, and the tea. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to start their day off right. read more

Stopped by for coffee today. I got an iced vanilla bean latte with their almond/cashew milk. It was sweet but not overly sweet and I'll be back again to (hopefully) try some of their food before they sell out! read more

Great atmosphere. Coffee was tasty, the seating area and interior design was adorable and warm- gave me a few ideas for my apartment. Wish they had more than one non-dairy option, (i'm an oat milk girl, but they only have their house made almond-cashew creamer; it's ok but a little bitter in my opinion. maybe that's just because i'm used to oat though.) I got an iced latte with said non dairy creamer, and my friend got an iced chai (which was so good). They had a wonderful little sweetener area. The prices were reasonable coffee shop pricing. The pastry section was amazing- the flavors were so creative and the croissant/flakey dough pastries had more layers than i've ever seen. Definitely a high end coffee shop. The staff was friendly. read more

As we were about to walk into another Bend coffee shop, our noses picked up the scent of freshly roasting coffee wafting out of a small alleyway. It smelled so good, we had to follow the aroma. And, boy, are we glad we did. It lead straight to Lone Pine. What a magical spot. The friendly (and knowledgeable!) baristas make an amazing espresso and brew up fine cup of coffee. And if Yelp! would allow a sixth star, I'd give that for Lone Pine's baked goods (most are from Sparrow Bakery, I think). The cardamom-laced ocean roll is the best breakfast roll I've ever had, EVER! Lone Pine Coffee is now my first (and last!) stop on any trip to Bend. read more

I hate coffee but then we got the maple and vanilla bean lattes, and for the first time in my life I actually wanted to come back and get more coffee from this shop. Also tried the chocolate croissant with dried lavender on top, and it had the best smoky flavor. What is this magic? read more

Lone Pine Coffee Roasters - Almond milk Maple latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Bend, Oregon

This is my husband and I's favorite coffee shop in town. Such deliciousness! The only bummer is that we have a lot of dairy-free friends who we would love to go to coffee with. However, all the dairy-free friends of ours don't like going to Lone Pine because there is only one dairy-free option (I believe homemade cashew milk) and none of them like it. I am very hopeful that there will be some more options for them so that more people could enjoy this delicious coffee! read more

Was expecting something yummier given the high reviews but maybe this is as good as it gets in Bend. The espresso/coffee in my mocha had no flavor at all and even had a strange undesirable aftertaste. Points for using valrhona chocolate and high quality dairy in the drink. read more

Lone Pine roasts simply exceptional beans; their drip is some of the most interesting and complex in Bend, if not the very best in town. I love that they make their own alternate milk in house, an almond-cashew blend; the boxed stuff everywhere else uses is gross in comparison and as a someone who doesn't drink dairy, it's the only place I will go for a cappuccino. Their new space is lovely and great for meeting up with friends, or curling up with a book. I love that they source beans grown without pesticides from small farms. The coffee trade can be very dirty and have questionable labor practices, so their careful sourcing matters a lot to me and is a key reason why I will go out of my way to frequent them over other roasters in town. read more

This coffee shop is located in an ally so it was hard to find. We passed by a few coffee shops, but was determined to find the Lone Pine cause we got a recommendation for it. The shop is pretty small inside. We came in early and it was already crowded. There are desks outside if you don't want to sit inside. We got the Belgium Waffles, Almond Croissant, Coffee, and a Latte. The almond croissant was delicious. The waffles was to die for! I'm glad we where patient enough to find the Lone Pine. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bend. read more

my husband and I both got drinks with the house made almond cashew milk and they both tasted super watered down. my mocha tasted exactly how a starbucks iced mocha tastes once the ice all melts (but served as a hot drink), and my husband described his golden milk as "watered down milk". we each took a couple sips and then threw them away and immediately got different coffee elsewhere. Given the reviews I'm sure the rest of their coffee is great, but the plant milk option really was not :( read more

Lovely high quality coffee with lots of creative drinks too! They make their own almond cashew milk and have seasonal specials. Tried the orgeat and lemon cream lattes. Loved that they were not too sweet and had nice herby balance to them. Also bonus for warming up Sparrow ocean rolls and Foxtail poptarts! read more

Met some friends here for coffee when I was in town for Christmas, and it was the best latte I've had in a while: the espresso was balanced and flavorful (pleasantly nutty), while the milk was rich and frothy. The person at the register was very friendly, making small talk as he pre-heated my tumbler and took my payment. The limited seating was packed, and the line didn't move as quickly as it might have, but that seems to describe most of my favorite local coffee places (regardless of city). As others have mentioned: it doesn't have signage that is easily visible from the street, so trust your phone when it sends you down that dark alley. read more

Very good latte. Very hipster. Do NOT go here if you are in a hurry. Staff are nice enough but are more about chatting and the art of making espresso drinks than caring about how long it takes. If you have time to chill and want to enjoy an amazing latte, this place is for you. Also, it is in an alley so can be a bit hard to find. Best to park somewhat close and walk to find it. read more

Bend knows how to do hip cafes. Lone Pine was my favorite. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, clean, quiet even with people sitting inside. I got a latte. I usually get soy or oat but don't think they have those options. They've moved onto 2.0 alternative milks like hemp haha. Would come again next time I'm in town. read more

Delicious lattes and waffles! Came here for all 3 days while in town. Friendly service, small place with small town feel. Their almond/cashew milk is made in the house and is delicious too. Highly recommend this place! read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops and spaces in town. I love the staff and how welcoming they are and the amount of work they do. I have found Lone Pine to be an excellent space for meetings with colleagues as well as friends. It is also a great space for some alone time or work away from the office. Shop and support local and be sure to leave this exceptional staff at least a 20% tip! read more

Great place and super cute! I just feel so bad because they need more employees. There's ONE person making all the drinks for like 50 people. Took 25 mins to get a matcha latte! Whoever the owners are they should consider hiring more people to increase the business! read more

Cute atmosphere and coffee/bakery choices. I tried both the caramel and maple lattes. Caramel one was average but the maple one was very enjoyable. It was a subtle flavor and was not too sweet. The waffle was good and had a caramelized taste. Indoor seating/area to wait for drinks to be done were not socially distanced very well. read more
