Such a cute shop with many unique items that would be perfect for the home or as gifts for others. Much of the items found in the shop are not something I've seen before. It is very an Oregon shop with books on nature, Bigfoot, and cooking. There is a large selection of beautiful cards for all events. I will note for any with problems with string smells, they did have a very strong defuser going, so there was a strong scent in the whole shop. The only staff I saw was the ladies at the register, which makes sense since the walking area is enough for 1 or 2 people at a time and the shop was very full. Some of the items are priced very reasonable, and others are a bit higher than I would expect. So just make sure to check the prices to avoid a shock at the register. What a cute store and its both delightful and dangerous because of that. Shelves and shelves full of great décor items plus they had Christmas décor at this particular visit too because we were there right before Christmas. I had a hard time stopping myself from buying everything in sight . The shop features a curated collection of mountain rustic gifts--from Pendleton blankets and custom corn hole sets, to hand-carved clocks and Americana décor. It is warm and welcoming and everything is displayed beautifully. Every time I thought I was done looking, something else would catch my eye .The store tends to feel a little cramped up because of this as it was a challenge moving around without knocking something off or hitting another customer . read more

We specifically wanted to see this shop while visiting Bend for the day after looking online. It appeared to have some cute items, however, we left before we were done looking after a woman there rudely came up to my 12 year old niece, who was 3 feet away from me (causally looking around though likely bored because the adults were In shop for them), asked her if she needed anything and my niece politely said "No thank you. I'm just looking." It seemed as though she was accusing her of something rather than truly asking if she needed help. And she didn't let up. Instead of moving on, the lady moved closer to her and asked if she was sure. At this point, I spoke up and said "Is something wrong?" and she turned to me and rudely said "You tell me." I informed her she was with me and asked what's the problem. My niece was close to tears. I told the lady we were shopping but we'd be leaving now. There was no apology or clarification of her intent. If you don't want anyone under a certain age in the store then post a sign. But clearly she had a problem with my niece for unknown reasons. And no, she didn't take anything. read more

Lone Crow Bungalow looked so great from the outside that I had to drag my husband and niece in with me on our stop to Sunriver. Like one of the other fellow Yelpers, I agree that this place isn't very welcoming to young children. And I can somewhat understand why. The items in this store are beautifully placed and curated to produce a lovely environment.....but also a fragile environment. I enjoyed my few minutes in the store before getting a look from one of the workers behind the register and decided it was time to leave. The items in the store really are beautiful though. This shop is always on the list of stores to go to when visiting family in Bend. However, last weekend I thought bringing my 5 year old Grandson with me would be a good idea. It is not! Let me save the rest of you some trouble. Mind you, he is well behaved, but might touch things, he is 5. He touch something..... with his index finger, he touched a tree on a $2000 gingerbread house. I know this because the sales lady nearly broke a leg getting to us and told us, "Oh my goodness, don't let him touch that, someone paid $2000 for that it is very very fragile. They will be picking it up and want it in tack." So here is my take. If I paid $2000 for a gingerbread house, I want it waiting for me behind the counter, not on a low table in the middle of the store. The over reaction was completely unnecessary and honestly embarrassing. I went in thinking I would buy a gift but quickly changed my mind, I can buy a Pendleton blanket some place else. Things have changed. We spent many hours and thousands here decorating our second home in Bend. LCB has some very nice merchandise. Most of the time we took things home on 48-hour approval and it was fun to work with LCB, especially for things that have to be just right. However, policies change apparently, so read the fine print. We purchased a $45 throw pillow that we thought would work, but didn't. Glad we didn't try two. Returned today within 48 hours and no amount of past experience with LCB helped. We now have a $45 store credit that we hope we will use before LCB goes out of business. Tough times don't last, tough people do, and it's a shame LCB has to endure this. Let's hope they survive, but a store-credit-no-refund changed policy smells like a cash flow problem. Happy to be proved wrong, but be very careful before you decide to spend time and money here. read more

This is a wonderful store filled with beautiful things. The selection has been expanded considerably from previous years. We purchased art work, rugs, tiles and other things as we built and furnished a house in Sunriver. The staff have always been helpful and pleasant. I recommend highly. read more

We wandered into this store the week before Christmas, and it was like striking gift gold. Everything in the store is carefully curated and is really unique, and usually made by local artists, crafters, etc. They have a great assortment of home goods; beautiful little things like picture frames, bowls, wall hooks, pillows, linens, candle holders, jewelry, bird houses, etc. It is so much fun to browse, and even my BF, who hates shopping, loved it. Lots of local Bend things too, for those looking for a souvenir. The only complaint would be that the prices are pretty steep. Hence the reason why it's a great store for gifts, since you would spend a little more on something you're giving, but for myself, I prefer hunting for a bargain. Also, parking in downtown can be a problem during tourist season or the holidays. read more

I just want to say thank you to Lone Crow and their staff for being so helpful. Every time I go in everyone is so friendly and willing to help with whatever I need. I also appreciate how careful they are with packaging and wrapping up my purchases. Every time we are in town we always make it a point to stop in. I went to this store to find an item for my wife. They told me it was sold out. Usually when something is sold out the sales people ask if they can order one for me. In my case neither one of the two sales women asked me nor did they seem to even care. I then called their store and when they picked up the phone the women answering the phone said "hi this is genny" which of course i replied "is this lone crow bungalow?" She answered yes and i began to tell her why i was calling, but as i was speaking to her i could hear her speaking with someone else. I asked her if this was an inconvenient time to talk (yes, it was sarcasm) which she then replied "there's like 20 people here" Clearly customer service is not a priority to them because i am sure they are just swamped every day by people coming in and buying 250.00 table runners (yes, again with the sarcasm)I kind of liked this store in the past. Never going there again, definitely never call. As you can see from my updated review, above the owner takes no responsibility for poor service and blames the customer (me) for leaving her store abruptly and for not hearing her clerk correctly. I did not leave abruptly and i hear quit well. She then writes that i could not have purchased the table runner i was looking for. Well i did, i purchased it from a store in New York called Coral and Tusk. When i called Coral and Tusk they were very nice and helpful. They over nighted to me and I received it in time for Christmas!! So yes Karen (owner) people can purchase items that you carry in your store someplace else, except they don't have to be accused of leaving abruptly and not hearing well on the phone and be blamed for your poor service. Clearly everyone that walks into your store should understand how blessed they are to just be allowed in. Two responses back to me and the word sorry was not in either. read more

I'm conflicted about the one star rating because this establishment has many awesome items that I intended to purchase. I was in the store two days ago and still feel annoyed with the way the staff treated me (I'm pretty sure one of the women was the owner). I just moved to Bend and have a large home to buy Home Decor for and was wanting to purchase a few wool rugs and wall hanging's. I was completely ignored the entire time starting from the moment myself and sister walked into the door. I will not do business at a establishment where our presence is not even acknowledge. I was able to find a couple of great rugs at World Market, still debating about returning to this shop or not. read more

The selection in the store is beautiful and unique. It's one of my favorite places to shop in town. However, after living in Bend for many years, I can say that I've never felt welcome in this store when I have my children with me. Immediately upon entering my toddler was told to not touch anything. Not for the first time, they followed us around the store and watched everything she did. I felt like a potential criminal. I sympathize with the struggle to protect their merchandise and welcome their customers. But they haven't yet hit the right balance. I agree - children can "be curious" and challenging at times. But we live in a polite society - maybe try and pretend we are welcome? read more

This store spoke to me. I have always loved mission style homes and this store has so many mission style products its enough to make one drool. If I ever owned my own shop I would want it to be like this one. Everywhere I looked I saw something I instantly desired. It's a dangerous store to go into for that reason alone. Great selection of eclectic items like vases, signs, amy stewart books, clocks, pottery, candles, tiles, leather journals, artwork, frames and accents. This shop is one of my favorite establishments in Bend. I have shopped here for many years and always appreciated the courteous, friendly and helpful staff. At times I like to browse to see what is new, other times I have a purpose. The staff is willing to accommodate each situation, leaving me to browse or making suggestions to help with my mission. Friends from out of town are always anxious to visit the shop. The products they sell are especially of great quality. I make this shop my first stop when needing a gift for myself or a friend. The LCB is one of my favorite shops in Bend. If I'm looking for a gift it's my go-to stop as they have many one-of-a-kind quality items, including a nice selection of gifts specific to Central Oregon. The staff, without fail, are cheerful and helpful without hovering. I recently purchased a rug that I had been admiring for quite some time. They let me take it home on approval for 24 hours to ensure it fit with my decor. The next day they called to let me know the rug had just gone on clearance and I was able to get 50% off instead of 10%...and I should note they offered this discount after I had already told them I had decided to make the purchase. One of the most appealing aspects of the local shop has always been the tasteful and unique style of displaying items. I went here on Sunday to buy another "maruca" purse because I love my first one. The three gals working were so friendly that it made the shopping experience fun and easy. My husband even bought an outside holiday rug as he thought it was so unique. Lots of arts&crafts home decor but there is something for any style. Good quality that makes the price point worth it.
