This nursery has a decent selection of plants, many are in marginal condition. Additionally it seems the most horrible people in Bend shop here. I recently visited and due to confusing signage, a rude man believed I cut in front of him. He was absolutely awful to me and created a huge scene. The cashier was totally ill-equipped to handle the situation and I left in tears. There should be zero hate tolerance, but unfortunately this establishment allows it. I know this review is a little late but better late than never. We have been shopping here for years and we are never disappointed. The owner and staff are amazing. They help you out in every aspect of your gardening and yard needs. This year we purchased and had them plant to major trees and 8 months later they are doing great. First of all, it's incredibly hard to find. Google Maps takes you a block or so away in a confusing street area. If necessary, phone them. It's worth it. They have a big selection, fresh things daily as far as I can tell, and they take good care of their stock.\ They would love to sort out the Google Maps (also, Garmin!) issues so if you have knowledge of this stuff they would love some help. read more

I reached out to Gary in December while buying some Xmas items. Got on there schedule what I believed and He lead me to believe was early . I wanted to have some light landscaping done on our town home. Gary made it out in April, charged 90.00 Took pictures measurements etc.. Paid an additional 175.00 for what was suppose to be some digital imaging so we could look at design. June 30 called to ask for money back as we have received nothing and I always had to reach out to him. He sounded quite happy to send money back. As they are soooo busy! Good for you land systems. Selling Petroleum-Chemical Fertilizer to my Parents for 22 years. Every time I visit I have to educate them on basic Mulching and Organic Fertilizers. Chemical Fertilizers are Bad for the Water aquifer and Birds and SOIL. Terrible uneducated Nursery Staff. read more

They make us look forward to spring 2021. So helpful. Recommended by every nursery in Redmond and Bend. We found the owners to be helpful, walking around the nursery with us, picking out healthy plants, explaining what would work in our soil (sand!). We have a lot more to do so we'll be back. We only wish they had a year warranty like some Brand Stores do, and they do in other cities and states. Especially when you're spending hundreds of dollars on a large tree, and they planted it. If they had we would have given them a five star rating. Like I said our experiences have been in other states nurseries do that. But we basically live on an island here. Four of our bushes have really struggled. It's probably our sandy soil. We need to bring in a landscaper. They have a great selection!!! read more

Called ahead and spoke to a woman. Very simple question, I asked if they had any Carl forester grasses. She replied yes all sizes and even quoted me prices. I believed her so I drove 20 minutes to find out they had 10 1 gallon plants of various grasses and nothing even close to what I was asking about. Complete lack of knowledge and they don't even help you when you arrive. Just point you to where the plants are...if they exist. read more

The design ideas were above my expectations. The owner Gary was very professional when coming out to our home to discuss the project, and very friendly. We came in on a Friday afternoon looking for chokecherry trees. The sales persononshowed us three really dilapidated spindly looking chokecherries trees, the last ones they had... and when we said we didn't want any of those they acted like it was a big nuisance because we just wouldn't take one of those three. I called to see if they had a certain dogwood bush. Gary called back and told me they did. So, I went in in and asked the female owner about it, and she snapped at me and said I have never heard of that kind of dogwood. She told me where the dogwoods were. This is the second time I have gone in there, when she has been snippy. She looks like she needs to retire. This nursery has been in business for 39 years at the edge of town. Now nestled in a neighborhood it offers a variety of plants along with beautiful hanging flower baskets, ironworks and statues. I'll not darken their door again given the abhorrent lack of customer service where their irrigation services are concerned. My neighbors warned me. I live on the canal. Every year, I watch an average of two months' worth of irrigation water that's meant for my property meander downstream. They apparently don't give a fig. The water was turned on over a month ago. These guys are the best. They've been helping Pilot Butte for years, they have a great reputation in town that is much deserved, and they seem to care more about your results than the sale. Just great people to deal with and one of the best businesses in Bend. Look at it this way. They're off the beaten path and yet they have plenty of happy customers. I have to say I think very highly of this nursery. After running into a problem with one of the many trees I bought from them, they agreed to provide a full credit toward the purchase of a new tree. I have never been a victim to such careless disregard for a customer. I was harassed for the same bill (which I originally paid within the first 30 days) four times in 9 months. Then, upon receiving notice of my "overdue" bill nine months later (for the third time) I called and thought it was cleared up. At that time, I needed them to do a test for me and they said they'd have someone call me. I called back and left a message a week later and never heard anything back from them until a month and a half later when they told me I not only had the now-10 month old bill but also a new one. Hired Landsystems to do basic backflow system and sprinkler blowout. They did what they were hired to do....got the bill...charged us $5 for fuel surcharge to come to our home in Aubrey Butte. Failed to mention the surcharge when we arranged the service. When we talked to the technician, he was already on the butte and only less than 1minute from our house and still got charged! Was planning to hire them for landscape design but afraid of what they will charge for gas. Would not recommend to others for that sole issue. read more

I would give the nursery 5 stars. They have a great selection of trees and shrubs. I used them for my landscape design and installation. The reason for the lower rating is because I have had difficulty getting my project finished. I was also told it would take a week to install and it took more than a month. They transplanted a tree, but didn't replace the sod in my yard, so I had to go to the nursery to buy and install it myself which was frustrating considering the amount of money I spent on the overall project. They also didn't have 11 of the plants in the design. Rather than telling me this in advance so I could buy alternative plants to be installed, they left those spaces empty and mulched over it, so I will need to finish it up on my own. read more
