Not comfortable writing a negative review of a family owned business. But I do want to caution potential buyers. Unlike other nurseries where I've purchased trees that had 1 year guarantees, Eastside has a 90-day guarantee. I do give Kevin kudos for helping me pick out 2 pretty trees acclimated to our climate...he was very kind. In the past year I've purchased 5 evergreen trees from Schultz and 2 from Eastside. In late April, Eastside planted the 2 trees I bought from them. By early July, they were both struggling. These are planted in the same location as the other 5 new trees, and all have the same irrigation system directly at their roots and get extra hand watering as they get established. I hated to give up on one of the trees, but in September I had to call its time of death. The other tree I purchased and had planted by Eastside is struggling too, but so far still alive. The other 5 trees purchased elsewhere are thriving. The tree that died was not dead during the 90 day warranty but was clearly on its way. There was nothing the owner was willing to do.....I didn't want a replacement for free, but possibly a discount or at the least to have them remove the dead tree. Because the 2 trees from Eastside had struggles (with 1, so far, dying) and the 5 from elsewhere are doing fine, I would caution customers to understand the 90-day warranty and be willing to lose a tree or 2 if purchased from here. Even proper care of these Eastside trees didn't seem to help. ( I think my photos of them accidentally got posted to another Yelp area)

$99.95. Cute, but not that cute.

I always enjoy Eastside Gardens. The entire area invites exploration, and the plants are well-marked. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

Bad Experience! I had a problem with a purchase and then was treated terribly by the owner when I tried to find a resolution.

Vive le Decor - One of the display vignettes of items for sale in Mar. 2011

In particular after the economy went South in 2008. Of that, the donation policy, I say five big stars! For this little shop selling "seasoned home furnishings & consignment", per the tag line in their print ads, I am also a fan of how the owner has laid out the small interior space with vignettes of the items for sale. In fact I said "nicely staged" right out loud when we walked in the door. Turns out the owner has some background in home design and the design sensibility shows. With so many of Bend's other resale shops being stuffed with "stuff", it was refreshing to have one with some room to navigate. So, lots of good foundation. A drawback is the relatively small amount of inventory. But they're new - open only about three weeks now - and that will likely change for the better over time. Open only on Fridays and Saturdays (10A to 5P). Apparently business has been brisk - makes sense given the very good condition of items for sale and reasonable prices. . This is the kind of place, were I good at resale store shopping, that I'd want to go back to from time to time. I have never learned the knack of resale store shopping, but given I have some things to consign, this place will be near the top of my list when I do that. If you're in the market for a "seasoned home furnishings" treasure in Bend, this is a place you should pay a visit. Conveniently located in the Industrial Park area off of American Canyon Lane. And remember how your purchases will help needy horses. Giddeyup!

Absolutely worth the short drive from downtown Bend! Top quality items nicely displayed -as the…read moreprevious reviewer mentioned the owner's background in design is evident throughout the shop. And, they've extended their hours, which is great. Now open Tuesday-Saturday. I will definitely return and would recommend Vive le Decor for anyone looking for exceptional, gently-used furniture.
