I am reading the reviews and wonder...are we talking about the same place. I have purchased 5 big trees over a 3 year span 2019 thru 2021 and not only high quality trees but excellent service. My big trees are thriving and look beautiful. Of course I planted them myself, because that is what I enjoy doing. I think some of these folks may be a bit petty. read more

Bend Pine Nursery - Pondo - Landscaping Near Me - Bend, Oregon

The owner of this nursery, Fred, hauled a structure to my home, immediately informing me that he was tired, had to leave, and did not have the strength to complete the delivery to the previously agreed upon location at my home, claiming he did not know about that location. The owner of the nursery, Fred, quickly devolved into anger and verbal abuse in front of my son and then in front of my neighbor who came to assist, causing me to retreat in fear of being hit by the nursery owner. The owner, Fred, then stormed off, yelling that he had a picture of me. While the nursery has some nice pine plants, I would urge women at a minimum not to allow Fred to be on their property and not to interact with him. His wife, the co-owner of the nursery, Sarah, then defended his behavior claiming a "misunderstanding." I will never do business with this nursery again. read more

Bend Pine Nursery in Deschutes Riverwoods, Bend, Oregon is hands down the best place to buy trees and natural landscaping for your property. Their trees are so healthy, Sarah is knowledgeable and can help guide you as much or as little as you need. We paid for her to come to our property and consult with us about which drees would grow best on our 1/2 acre. They also offer planting and were incredibly reasonably priced, plus had a great eye for where the plants and trees would not only look nice, but would grow best. They were always careful to check in to make sure we were happy with placement and progress. We will absolutely be loyal buyers and so happy with our new trees. We highly recommend them! read more

I spent over a thousand dollars at this nursery last month. One pine didn't take, it was dying when I bought it. I went to return it today and get a replacement. The girl said they wouldn't replace it for me. When I purchased them , they did not say they don't take back plants that don't take. Just one plant , they wouldn't replace. This place has poor customer appreciation. The nursery is in a backyard in a residential neighborhood. Poorly maintained with root bound plants growing through the weep holes in the plastic pots. Rather repotting them they throw dirt around the pots. The prices are higher here than any other place around. I regret deeply giving this place my hard earned money. read more

I bought two trees and paid for delivery and planting. We called to schedule the delivery and planting and were told that they sold one of the trees to someone else. Last one of that variety. Great. Scheduled a time for the other tree to be delivered and planted. No show. Finally a nice person arrives with the one tree. He also brings the refund for the other tree in the form of check. We specified cash. All throughout this bit of (not) fun, Sarah could care less about the mistakes or making an effort to make it right. Never again. Ever. read more

If I could make this zero stars I would. I was in town visiting my dad and he asked me for help with landscaping his backyard as I own a landscape construction company. We went down there and the owner Sarah could not have been more rude. She was not helpful at all and the whole experience was really offensive. I would never use these landscapers! Had awful experience this past month. Paid Fred $2000 to do my "complete yard". I got two pieces of flagstone, a bunch of gravel and dirt, sprinklers with seeds for grass that never came up. And stupid me...Fred made me pay him upfront. Have had other landscapers out, and all said worst job they had ever seen. I should of only paid $500 total for the flagstone. Thinking of suing them. Avoid them at all cost! Betsy read more

Sadly, not a good experience. I foolishly thought having a drip system installed included burying the black hoses, but they were all left above ground. They only recommended plants they had in stock, which was very limited, so no colorful perennials were included. When they ripped out all the existing plants, it apparently sent seeds flying, so now my garden is full of grass and weeds, the one thing I was really hoping to eradicate by installing a drip. Their products are very over-priced. $200 for trees that other nurseries have for the half the cost and big name stores have for a quarter of the price. My yard has never looked worse. Worst investment ever. Over $2,500 down the tubes. read more

Had hoped to use their services for some small problem area in my yard. Fred completely disagreed with my plan and wanted to do something he wanted. I did not like the idea or the quote he gave me. He seemed adamant to do it his way disregarding my reasoning for doing it my way. Would not respond to me when requesting a simpler, less expensive project. I have had numerous landscaped yards designed and I believe the designer should listen to homeowners thoughts and reasons for their needs and not let ego of his ideas get in the way. Wow, can't say we received the same "warm fuzzies" or wisdom from Sarah as the other two reviews did. If I could give his company ZERO stars for unprofessional service, I would. Sadly, Sarah and her nursery will never be on our list of landscapers after the experience we had with her at our neighbor's house, who hired her to plant trees on their side of our fence. Unfortunately, Sarah was given misinformation on the property line even in the absence of a property line marker running down the property. She also didn't impart proper tree planting / spacing wisdom into our neighbors and is planting medium sized pine trees right up against our fence and within 1-2 feet from one another's roots, which does not set the trees up for success. We kindly advised her of this and she did everything short of plugging her ears so she didn't have to listen. She was very rude to us and in her comments about the neighbors (her clients) and us. She made it very clear that it was a "B!TCH" to get the trees up the hill, dig the holes, and plant them and she was not going to deal with us or move hem despite us trying to help save her some energy - she didn't even care to try to understand our concern. We've made sure the neighbors know about her disparaging comments as well and will keep spreading the word around town with Yelp! Being our first stop. Good job, Sarah!
