Really cute place at night with all the lights. I got the falafel platter to go, it was kind of expensive at $25, but it came with 3 patties, pita, peppers, picker onions, carrots, cucumber, hummus and tatziki. It was good, I just think it could have been cheaper. But it tasted really good.

Caesar salad with shrimp

First I want to say the service and ambiance are great - the staff were very helpful and kind. However, the food was mediocre for the price. The Caesar salad I had was very different from other pictures. Also it cost $12 to add shrimp, which I assumed would be large, seasoned / grilled shrimp, but it was just a bunch of small defrosted shrimp which did not add much flavor. I would come back here for patio drinks, but would not eat here again.

Falafel dinner - everything was very bland

Our group of three tried Lompoc for dinner tonight and did not have a great experience. We ordered the Lompoc chowder, the falafel dinner, and the Noodle bowl. (See pictures) The staff is nice enough (+1 star) and the restaurant is cute (+1 star), but the food we ordered was pretty terrible. The chowder was extremely bland (almost no salt) and far more watery than a typical chowder. I ate it because I was hungry, but I honestly cannot say that I enjoyed it. The falafel plate was also very bland - virtually no salt or spice on anything, the hummus didn't taste like it had any tahini in it, the tsaziki was pretty much just yogurt, and the falafel was oddly chunky (compared to a traditional falafel) & lacking flavor. Finally the noodle bowl was just plain bad. When they first brought it out, the noodles were undercooked and hard, so we sent it back. They remade the dish for us, but it was still not good. The tofu and noodle sauce were both wayyy too salty - almost straight soy sauce mixed with a bit of lime juice. Bottom line - this place has potential, but their chef needs to rethink the recipes, as food is just not very good, especially for the premium prices they're asking. Even in a small town like Bar Harbor, you have a lot of options for better food, at a similar or better price point, just a block or two away.

Spicy Dijon Mussels

Stopped at Lompoc Cafe because my friends and I were finally sick of lobster rolls and wanted to eat something different for a change. We sat outside on the covered patio area which was pretty nice. The menu had a lot of yummy and eclectic appetizers and sandwiches/salads. I definitely was interested in a couple different things on the menu. Food: - Spicy Dijon Mussels: Delicious mussel dish with a spicy dijon mustard sauce. Great to share with a couple people and tasted fresh. - Fishwich Sandwich: Giant fillet of fish fried in a perfect bun with coleslaw inside. I got the side salad with it which was yummy. The fillet was very tender flaky fish, my only complaint was it was a little bland and could use some sort of spices on the fish. Overall, pretty yummy sandwich as a whole. Service was great here along with the food. It was a refreshing change from most of the other food spots in Bar Harbor.

Windowsill had spiderwebs and dead bugs. Ruined our appetites!

Food: We had the New Guy pizza. The crust was excellent; thinish and cooked well. The pork itself was dry, but still flavored the pizza well. The bbq sauce was flavorful and spread evenly. The cheese was perfectly melted and stretchy. The red onion was a great addition to the pizza as it cuts through the bolder flavors of the meat. Our pizza was missing the honey drizzle though! Service: quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. Environment: windowsill had spiderwebs and dead bugs and a thick layer of dust. We saw it, and had to get out.

Great food, atmosphere, and live music! The brussel sprout appetizer and Bon Mi sandwich are my favorites.

It's a breakfast & lunch cafe that values using locally sourced, fresh ingredients. We stopped for lunch and ordered the Vegplant (V) and Bahn Mi (v) sandwiches. The Vegplant had an eggplant spread, roasted vegetables, and tabouleh on focaccia. The vegan Bahn Mi had tofu, pickled vegetables, greens, miso spread, and cilantro on a baguette. Both sandwiches were excellent and we ordered a couple of iced chais--they were house made and among the best in Maine. It's counter service, and the patio seating was just what we were looking for on a warm summer day in June. We went back the next morning for breakfast and found it to be a little trickier--according to the person behind the counter, the only vegan breakfast item was the hash brown. I had the yogurt parfait--it was as it was described on the menu and just okay--I generally prefer fresh fruit--it had a fruit preserve, which was just okay--maybe it needed more. The hash brown was made of shredded potatoes and was what you would expect. Overall, from a vegetarian/vegan perspective this is a solid 5 star lunch spot, and I love what they're doing here. I just wish they had a vegan option for breakfast.

Conscious Cafe is a small, tucked away neighborhood cafe inside a yoga studio. Their manu is carefully curated to nourish and replenish you body and soul. I really can't say enough about our experience here. We stopped by for an early lunch. I ordered the sweet potato soup as well as a coffee beverage. I typically don't like flavored beverages made with anything but espresso. Theirs are made with coffee and are outstanding. Zero complaints on the coffee. Their food is made fresh to order so takes a little while as when I was there, it was a bit of a one man show. The soup came came with crispy shallots and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. It was ginger kissed and one of the best sweet potato soups I have ever had. It was served with a side of crusty sourdough with the lightest smidge of ghee. It paired perfectly with the soup. The dining area is warm and comfortable with the kitchen easily viewable. You order at the counter and then the chef will bring you your meal. It's not a quick meal, but I promise you it will be worth the wait. Get to it!

Also, there's a beautiful outdoor seating area that we really enjoyed. Definitely coming back!

Ok..this place is meh. So, it's a cool layout inside. Thats…read morethe positive. Well another would be the staff. Very friendly. The place is located kind of conveniently to Acadia. So you know what that means, right? Thats means...TONS of tourists which in turn means....YET ANOTHER place that can charge a ton for basic...and I mean BASIC a$$ food and drinks lol. I get that we are in Bar Harbor or close to Bar Harbor and Bar Harbor is bougie. However, this place is like 20 mins from town....and the food and drinks aint even all that..so there is NO need at all to be charging what they do. Cool views across the street tho. So I bought a muffin and it was decent. Was it the best? Nope. I also got the banana/strawberry smoothie. It was expensive. I was really hoping for BANANA AND....STRAWBERRY!! since that is what it says on the menu. Could I taste any strawberries? Hell no! LOL! I swear they charge you $10 for a few bananas they blend up with like 2 tiny strawberries. They do have to have the pink color in there to make you think you are getting what you ordered....because why would you want what the menu says?? Crazy thought, huh? hahahah! The smoothie was gross. Yes, bananas are good for you, they are good in a shake, but just a shake that tastes like....all banana...nah, not for me. For me, thats gross. So just keep that in mind. I get it...we are at a coffee spot that's a quick stop before you go into the park and do a ton of walking for the day, hiking, walking along the beaches in the park. However, I mean...just make what is on the menu since ya'll love to rob the tourists. Just seems unfair to me is all. Did I go back? Nnnnnope. We drove by this place every day too while in the area and on our way to the park. Just skip right on by this place and drive into Bar Harbor. Many more places to choose from AND....GET THIS!!! They make you...exactly what you order!!! So crazy! You can also find many places in town that aren't crazy overpriced despite being restaurants etc that are targeted towards the massive amounts of tourists who visit this beautiful area....what I am assuming is...all year round. I will absolutely return to this area. Bar Harbor....MAINE! is a whole other world! It's like nothing I have experienced before. It's definitely one of Americas best kept secrets. However, when I do return....I will just skip on by Acadia Coffee House. Sorry to the employees...kind of. You all were nice, but its just shady that you made me a banana smoothie when I ordered the banana/strawberry and charged me $10 ...FOR BANANAS!!! What are they at the store...barely a $1 a piece? hahaha! Thanks for reading! Just find another coffee house! You'll thank me later haha! Cheers!
