Really cute place at night with all the lights. I got the falafel platter to go, it was kind of expensive at $25, but it came with 3 patties, pita, peppers, picker onions, carrots, cucumber, hummus and tatziki. It was good, I just think it could have been cheaper. But it tasted really good.

Caesar salad with shrimp

First I want to say the service and ambiance are great - the staff were very helpful and kind. However, the food was mediocre for the price. The Caesar salad I had was very different from other pictures. Also it cost $12 to add shrimp, which I assumed would be large, seasoned / grilled shrimp, but it was just a bunch of small defrosted shrimp which did not add much flavor. I would come back here for patio drinks, but would not eat here again.

Falafel dinner - everything was very bland

Our group of three tried Lompoc for dinner tonight and did not have a great experience. We ordered the Lompoc chowder, the falafel dinner, and the Noodle bowl. (See pictures) The staff is nice enough (+1 star) and the restaurant is cute (+1 star), but the food we ordered was pretty terrible. The chowder was extremely bland (almost no salt) and far more watery than a typical chowder. I ate it because I was hungry, but I honestly cannot say that I enjoyed it. The falafel plate was also very bland - virtually no salt or spice on anything, the hummus didn't taste like it had any tahini in it, the tsaziki was pretty much just yogurt, and the falafel was oddly chunky (compared to a traditional falafel) & lacking flavor. Finally the noodle bowl was just plain bad. When they first brought it out, the noodles were undercooked and hard, so we sent it back. They remade the dish for us, but it was still not good. The tofu and noodle sauce were both wayyy too salty - almost straight soy sauce mixed with a bit of lime juice. Bottom line - this place has potential, but their chef needs to rethink the recipes, as food is just not very good, especially for the premium prices they're asking. Even in a small town like Bar Harbor, you have a lot of options for better food, at a similar or better price point, just a block or two away.

Spicy Dijon Mussels

Stopped at Lompoc Cafe because my friends and I were finally sick of lobster rolls and wanted to eat something different for a change. We sat outside on the covered patio area which was pretty nice. The menu had a lot of yummy and eclectic appetizers and sandwiches/salads. I definitely was interested in a couple different things on the menu. Food: - Spicy Dijon Mussels: Delicious mussel dish with a spicy dijon mustard sauce. Great to share with a couple people and tasted fresh. - Fishwich Sandwich: Giant fillet of fish fried in a perfect bun with coleslaw inside. I got the side salad with it which was yummy. The fillet was very tender flaky fish, my only complaint was it was a little bland and could use some sort of spices on the fish. Overall, pretty yummy sandwich as a whole. Service was great here along with the food. It was a refreshing change from most of the other food spots in Bar Harbor.

Windowsill had spiderwebs and dead bugs. Ruined our appetites!

Food: We had the New Guy pizza. The crust was excellent; thinish and cooked well. The pork itself was dry, but still flavored the pizza well. The bbq sauce was flavorful and spread evenly. The cheese was perfectly melted and stretchy. The red onion was a great addition to the pizza as it cuts through the bolder flavors of the meat. Our pizza was missing the honey drizzle though! Service: quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. Environment: windowsill had spiderwebs and dead bugs and a thick layer of dust. We saw it, and had to get out.

There's a sign in the garden that says "Wait here to be seated." We waited 10 minutes and when no one came, we left.

Outdoor seating, bocci ball, and just about the best mussels you'll ever have. They also tend to have live music on the weekends.

Excellent find. Fantastic meal. Heck of a good time…read more Lots of beers and booze to choose from nestled in all warm and cozy in the eclectic environment of Bar Harbor, ME. I had the burger special which was fucking fantastic! I was getting pretty tired of seafood at this point and it was the most refreshing change of pace. It was one of those just in time food experiences. C went for the crab cakes. What a gorgeous version of crab cakes they were! Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. If I lived nearby, I would be here all of the time. There were a ton of interesting menu items I would like to try. '26 - 26

I had the scallop street corn dish with seared scallops in a dish of homemade creamed corn which I recommend. Others in our party had the lobster roll, the French dip, the fried haddock sandwich and a burger. All agreed that the food was very good and we would stop there again.

Reviewed the menu and decided this is where I wanted to come after a long day hiking in the park…read moreand starving after skipping lunch. This spot is cozy and quaint and full of friendly local staff members. It was Kentucky Derby day and a lot of folks we were watching it as we walked in, ambiance was jovial and loud. Greeted immediately by the hostess and bartender and waited a short while for a table to open up. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the Reuben. He is Jewish and loves Reubens, gets them all the time. He said this one was really, really good. Great texture to the meat. Now, my Chicken Sandwich - was the best I've ever had in my life. I told my husband, I will be holding any and all future chicken sandwiches up to this one as the benchmark. The breaded chicken breast was huge and delicious quality white meat. It was dipped in buffalo sauce, and had fresh slaw, pickles, tomato and blue cheese sauce. It was DECADENT and it really hit the spot for me after a long day. I could not stop eating it. YUMMMM. Oh, we also ordered the pub fries - loaded with aioli and cheese and greens. Fries were delish but a bit too much aioli for our taste. Still, wonderful! Huge portion. Overall, food was yummy, out quickly, service was great and we loved the vibes. Easily a fav for us on this trip and we'll be looking forward to coming back again some day!

We liked the outdoor dining setting at The Terrace Grille so opted to have lunch there outside. We went there at 1PM on a Saturday and were seated right away. We didn't get a table right next to the edge but we could see the water perfectly from our seats. Our waiter was very friendly but he, and most of the staff, were transplants. Our waiter told us he didn't know where lobsters came from until he recently moved here. lol For an appetizer, we shared the Crab & Appetizer Dip. It was delicious!!! Definitely not healthy but we didn't care, we ate most of it. Tip: eat it while it's hot! It's definitely not good cold. For lunch, I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Cobb salad and my husband had the Steamed Maine Lobster. My salad was amazing! The lobster was fresh, tender, and overall the flavors of the salad went well together with the honey citrus dressing. My husband wasn't crazy about his lobster, he said the meal was acceptable but the lobster was overcooked.

The outdoor seating area is GORGEOUS with great water views of Frenchman Bay and Bar Harbor. We ordered a bowl of NE Clam Chowder, Lobster Bruschetta, Lobster Chef Salad, and the Haddock.
