Our flight was cancelled so we got a hotel near the airport. We checked at the front desk and the clerk highly recommended Lombardo's. We took the shuttle and we were pleasantly surprised. We went around 5:30 for dinner. The hostess, who turned out to be our server, was cheerful and delightful. My husband has Celiac disease and has some pretty big dietary restrictions. Our server made note of his allergies. The prices were $$$. We ordered drinks and waited for our orders. Lombardo's had gluten free pasta! My husband ordered chicken Parmesan. He devoured it! Our server brought a small side dish of penne with Alfredo sauce. He loved it! I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. I've never had Fettuccini Alfredo THAT good. The sauce was so smooth, so creamy, I wanted so much more than I could eat. The Alfredo sauce was light, not a heavy cream sauce. If you're ever stuck in St. Louis and staying near the airport, you have GOT to stop in to Lombardo's. I'm in luck. I have our receipt from Lombardo's. Our server, who really set the tone for our evening, was Aleida. She was phenomenal!

Had a terrible experience. They could not find our reservation upon arrival which is always a bad start. We stand there feeling like idiots while they look up and down the computer trying to see if we're legit. After they confirmed us, we were seated at a nice booth. The bread they served was weird and the wine was just ok. Upon ordering, my husband & I just were not very hungry after a long day snacking. We asked if we could split an entree and they said yes. Many of their entrees contained mushrooms & we both can't eat them. We asked if they could not add mushrooms to the rigatoni dish and the waitress said no. They are too busy and cannot remove the mushrooms. To us, that seemed odd especially if the dishes are freshy made. In fact, it seems like we'd be saving them a step, but maybe it's all pre made?? We ended up ordering the ravioli and it was mushy & buried in cheese. It was like eating one big plate with microwaved cheese on it. Gross. I could tell thee server seemed bugged even though she "smiled". And, it was my birthday dinner. We will not be back.

We came here when we were in the area, followed by our hotel stay. We came on a super crazy, busy night, and they had the back rented out. Although it was very loud, and it was hard to hold a conversation because of the music, the staff did the best they could to accommodate everyone. I would say this is more of a finer dining restaurant. There is a bar area that is separate from dining that I think would be OK for casual, but most of the people we saw were dressed up and in jeans. All the staff members were very pleasant. We had the bartender as our server and she was very kind and built a report with us. We also enjoyed the customers in the bar area. Everyone was super engaging and we actually made friends with someone sitting at the bar area . It's such a great time when you can go into a restaurant and make friends as well as great customer service If we lived closer, we would definitely be here more often

Went to eat here for a Christmas dinner and had a good time! The food was pretty good. We really liked the pasta and complementary bread. Service was amazing. Our server was very nice, attentive, and really funny. Atmosphere was a bit dark and cozy. There's street parking and a limited lot nearby. It gets pretty full for events especially during Christmas.

Lombardos by the airport in St. Louis is such a great find!! Last month I was in town and at their location downtown. We started with a few cocktails and their iconic toasted ravioli. I don't know how they did it, but they were even better at this location. You HAVE to get these if you stop. We shared a salad which was fresh, but the ranch dressing was horrible. I wish high end places like this would have homeade dressings. We split the shrimp Lombardo which was AMAZING, but opted for the white sauce on our pasta. The white sauce was a big, tasteless letdown. We added mushrooms, and some leftover red sauce from our raviolis... it was still not enjoyable. However, the staff was attentive, timely, and knowledgeable. It's no wonder this place has been around for generations. I absolutley will go back. I'll just choose other dressings and stick to the red sauce!

First time visiting this location with my parents for their 39th wedding anniversary. Had no idea this gem had been here for almost 30 years! My parents frequent the Lombardo's downtown location the most. We arrived right a little earlier than the restaurant opened, but we're allowed to seat in the dining room. The staff were all welcoming and pleasant. Our server Jeff, was definitely top-notch! The general manager even came to our table, wished my parents well for their anniversary, and gave us some history on the restaurant and the family chain. Food - chef's kiss! Ambiance - authentic. Will definitely be bac

We had a reservation so we sat down as soon as we got there. Waiter was ok but we had to track him down for refills of our drinks. Never received the second drinks order when he brought us the bill. The food was very good. The toasted ravioli were amazing! However the bread was just sliced bread so I didn't care for it. We ordered dessert to go. The cheesecake was the smallest slice I have ever seen. Way overpriced! Very disappointed. It was just ok to me. Will probably not go back.

I was taught by brother that you should book your first dinner reservation as after flying all day, one is tired, and not able to make good decisions...hence eating at a TGI Fridays in New Orleans on our first night. I have heard about that since. Charlie's had the perfect vibe going as it has a great reputation. Wendy was also simply amazing and shared may stories of St Louis and was just a tremendous server. The only thing that tricked us was the Toasted Ravioli. It has meat in it, and my wife is vegetarian. The Arancini was terrific and the table bread was also quite tasty. My wife had the Manicotti and I had the Chicken Lemonata. So great. The bottle of the house Gitto's Red was the perfect wine as well. The final blow came when not one but two people not associated with our table approached my nephew, 17 yr olds. He was already stopped at hostess desk and asked to remove his hat. He and his parents explained his medical situation, Alopecia. The hostess said she would tell management and there would be no problem. Only after we were enjoying our drinks and appetize did someone feel the need to approach my nephew again in front of the whole table to ask him to remove his hat. Then another came and said same thing. Completely rude. Also very judgmental. You lost a family that loved your food.

Respectable Americanized-Italian restaurant on The Hill…read more.. I was in town for work with the ole ball and chain, and we met some friends at MOTH for dinner on a Friday... Quint lil restaurant nestled in the middle of the STL Italian district. The restaurant looks like a big Italian family room and smelled like my G-Ma's kitchen. The staff super super friendly and accommodating. As for the food, it was solid Italian but I wouldn't call it "authentic", but more Americanized Italian fare (albeit the toasted raviolis were as good as advertised). We really like that the staff didn't rush you... Good pacing with dinner and no pushiness to turn tables. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the price... $250 for 4 people is expensive regardless of it being STL. While I still contend Gian-Tony's is the best Italian restaurant OTH, MOTH was good and offers an enjoyable dinner experience with friends and family... It's easy to see why they've been a successful family run business for so many years.

The sauce had the perfect consistency... creamy, rich, and with just the right amount of kick. I skipped the peas, added a meatball and paired it with the recommended Koha Sauvignon Blanc. Easily the best vodka sauce I've had in St. Louis! Already dreaming of the day we meet again. We sat on the patio and had wonderful service with Connor. Music was great, bread and oil was fantastic and they were able to seat us and get our food out to us so quickly even at 7 pm on a Wednesday.

We couldn't decide which was better, the Chicken Picatta or the Chicken Speidini. They were both super high quality poultry mixed with a rich and flavorful sauce, yum. Katie even let us make the side shells "pink", by mixing marinara and Alfredo for us. My family would do yearly holiday dinners here with extended family. Such a classic, inviting ambiance with delicious, comforting food. But unfortunately the last few visits were not the Maggianos I remember. They've surely been impacted by the economy and many of the changes are due to that, such as smaller portions for higher prices - RIP free pasta to take home. But there are some things that are perhaps creative choices that left me wanting more. A biggie is the change in bread - made just a few months ago according to our server. I adored the crisp on the outside, soft on the inside pillowy loaf you would get along with olive oil, Parmesan and fresh cracked pepper in the past. I was surprised to see rolls and butter brought to our table as the bread service. I gave this new roll a chance but it was overly salty and not very good. The bread was what I look forward to most when I go to Maggianos. Please bring the OG bread back! That said, one of my fave entrees - the spaghetti and meatballs - still was delicious (and I was slightly nervous with a name change in the menu - wagyu meatballs). Service has not been as good either. The Maggianos of yesterday reigns supreme - hopefully Maggianos can make some changes to bring back the original charm and taste they had established for years.
