My fish was cooked very hard I couldn't eat it; but I will give this place a second chance

We were in town visiting family and ended up here for dinner. There were 9 of us.. 3 kids under 14. We were seated promptly, but honestly the place could use a good scrub down. Our table was sticky and dirty.. everything there seemed dirty and sticky. They ran out of ice, and had to get someone to get bags of it and bring it in.. they literally brought us.. 9 people.. 3 kids.. about 30 rolls which was excessive and wasteful. My nephew who is 14 ordered a steak, medium rare. It was pretty much well done.. the server even said it was medium well and if it wasn't cooked right he can get another one.. I mean what?? What steakhouse brings out a medium well steak and doesn't immediately apologize and get the correct one? That's a massive difference in taste! I ordered a burger.. medium rare, it was ALSO medium well and not very good. My husband ordered smothered steak, medium rare and guess what.. yup medium well. My dad ordered a filet and got a sirloin. They were all over the place. I guess I am spoiled living in Vegas and getting to eat amazing food, but I could have cooked my family a better dinner than this. read more

Stopped in for dinner while in town on business. Service was friendly if quite slow. Most of the food was very good, except for one steak that was ordered medium and came out well done. Didn't send it back because we're not those people. Probably won't go again, though. Not worth the high prices for overcooked food, plus there aren't any of these where I live. 3 out of 5. Didn't hate the experience, didn't love it, and it was better than sitting in traffic. read more

This is the best place to come as far as eating out goes period. Waitresses are always great... certainly very friendly and attentive! The steaks are always cooked to perfection and we haven't found that elsewhere in Monroe, Matthews or Rock Hill. read more

When I went to pickup our food, I did not receive all of it. When I asked the guy about it , he immediately got defensive and asked me to check the bag again as he was sure it was in there. I did and explained again that it wasn't . He then suggested I check the back seat.. as insinuating that I was not telling the truth . I asked to see the manager and they miraculously found my food. I usually don't review chain establishments unless a service encounter blows my mind...this time around it was the service at the bar. Which was "turrible" as Charles Barkley would put it. I arrived around 10pm, an hour before they closed and you would have thought I had arrived at 10:59PM for an 11:00PM closing. The bartender was visibly annoyed that I was there and became increasingly annoyed with each of my requests, which were mainly requests for another beer. Overall, the food was exactly what you expect of this place...decent. The service though was terrible. I felt like a huge bother and an annoyance. Usually the bar of a place is inviting and full of the most energetic employees...not at this place. I'm simply passing through, but I'll make sure to never stop here on my next go-round. read more

We came in one more time so y'all could redeem yourself a before we head out of town. Tonight we sat with Nicky. (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it) She did amazing! She was joking with us the whole time and has such An amazing smile. Her personality is exactly what a waitress needs. Our food was over done but she got it fixed right away! The table beside us was horrible to her but she didn't let it get to her she still smiled and acted just as sweet. We will definitely be sitting with her if we're ever back in town! Steaks were cold. Mac and cheese was cold. Service was terrible, slow and rude. Asked for more napkins and they threw drink coaster napkins on the table without a word. I love Logan's and i order take out here at least one a week. It's always been relatively affordable for a steak house. When you order through take out you don't have the online option so I call it in. I was on hold and did not speak to anyone for 10 mins, as I was already on my way I assumed they were busy and that was fine. When I got to the takeout area there were only two cars in the whole takeout parking. When the waitress walked out I called her over just to let her know, I didn't know if maybe she hadn't seen the phone. She proceed to wave her hands at me in a circle and roll her eyes to tell me she was "a little busy". I had no problem leaving. read more

I'm not a fan of most chains. But once in a while I take a step on the franchise side. Great step tonight. Mac at the bar was a delight. Good recommendations on food and great recommendations on drinks. And on top of all that he was friendly even though he was born in upstate NY. can't hold that against him. (Not to say the same for his parents) Then to top off the night a fire ball shot. So as many times I write, it's all about service. .........,,,,, I would visit any establishment where Mac is conducting the fun. read more

We ordered take out last night and it was extremely disappointing!! My hushands steak was not cooked correctly and just was not a good cut. None of the three salads order were correct (suppose to have no onions or bacon bits and the wrong salad dressing was sent) We ordered one browny dessert for $6.99 and thats all it was, a dry brownie!! Yeast rolls were over cooked too! I just feel like when you order $90 worth of food someone should maybe CHECK to make sure the order is correct. When my husband picked it up there were 3 people in the "to go" area basically doing nothing, definitely not checking to see if the order was correct. Also I called in the order instead of ordering online hoping that if I actually spoke to a person the chances of the order be right would be better but I WAS WRONG! read more

I walked in there with a couple of friends looking for a nice meal to eat. Sadly I chose the wrong place for that. We walked in and stood there for 20 minutes before anyone came to help us. That should've been the first red flag. After sitting down the server brought us bread and took our order and while I wish I could write a separate review on how well the server treated us, the rest of the place is awful. My steak came out literally charcoal when I asked for Medium Rare and the rest of the table's foods were also messed up. The entire restaurant also looked like it could use a good deep cleaning. Not to mention I could literally hear one of the managers screaming at one of their kitchen staffs. We went there with an open mind to past reviews. They exceded the reviews hands down. We were seated with 15 minutes at 6;00 PM on a Saturday and our server John made the meal excellent with his prompt service. The food was great, salad fresh and my drink was never empty. The last probably 4x that we have been here we swore that we wouldnt go back...however there is only a limited amount of restaurants this convenient to our home... Last night was the last straw...I will eat soup out of a can before I attempt to give this restaurant a dime of our money... We went in ...were immediately seated.... at one of the tables around the bar.... the waitress took drink order and brought bread.... then took our dinner order... 25 minutes later our salad arrived.....,,we finished then waited...and waited.... the waitress continued to refill our drinks..... when an hour had passed my husband brought it to the waitress attention... she went to the kitchen....10 min later returned and asked if we would like our meal "to go"..... WHAT?? she apologized and told us that it would still be a while that they still had to cook it.....uhh....NO....bring our check....and a manager.... well there isnt a manager on duty in the kitchen...so the dining room manager would be of no help..... whatttt?????? just the check then..... and she continued to apologize and said that the same thing had happened at our table earlier..... whattttt???????? well she told us ....no charge for the tea and salad....and we left.......This was the deal breaker...... (the waitress really tried) but every single time the experience just gets worse..... I will take my business to Longhorn....or Texas Roadhouse... Just remember you were warned..... read more

We generally enjoy coming to Logan's however tonight we had a different experience. our server Mady was awesome!!! We saw a mouse in the restaurant and my father in law asked for management to come over. The manager came to talk to the 2 people at the table across from us whom were Caucasian and never came to address us the 8 African American people. We were in disbelief. I would have loved to say more but as my father in law stated we do not have to eat here again. I personally will not spend my coins where I am left to feel unheard and unwelcomed. Had a party of 6, was able to sit right away for a Friday night. Fried Cheese Burgers were the best of our selections. Beer was cold. Overall food was good, but definitely not a wow. Ambiance was ok, a little dirty for what we are used to. Not sure we would go back, too many choices that are "sure fire winners" now that the state is opening back up. read more

We went there a few months ago. Wanted to try them. Everything seemed okay at first!! We where seated promptly. We ordered our drinks and appetizer!! Upon getting our appetizer, we placed our dinner order. Not more then 10 minutes later we received our order ( no prob.) I kid you not, but my husband had just cut his steak and was about to devour it!!! WHEN the waitress came with our check!!! My husband almost passed out. That is something he will and can not tolerate. Him being in the restaurant industry is a big NO!!! NO!!! Went to this place to pick up my lunch as I work not too far away from here. The waitress wasn't at all attentive towards the customers that were trying to take the to go lunch and while I was standing there for 5 minutes she never bothered to check if I wanted something. I have also noticed that the people who came to dine in after me were attended to immediately while I was just standing there for more than 5 minutes to see someone turn up to even place my order. It's a safe bet to say that I will never back to this place and won't recommend anyone to come here either. read more

Having been to Logan's before, my wife and I were expecting to partake is some great steaks and we weren't disappointed. We were seated almost immediately by a young man that acted like he wanted to be anywhere but at Logan's. No, "Good afternoon", "Welcome to Logan's"...just grabbed some menus and started walking. I gave him the benefit of doubt because he looked about 17-18 and he probably really did want to be somewhere else at that moment. Our server was personable and he took our drink order promptly. Unfortunately, that was the best part of his service. He wasn't rude, he just wasn't very attentive. Our food was fantastic though. My wife ordered the 12oz ribeye with a side of fried okra. Her steak was cooked just like she likes it. I ordered the 20oz bone in ribeye and it was superb. Perfectly cooked with a baked potato that was delicious. All and all it was a pleasant experience with only a slight downside of an inattentive server. read more

Waited 40 min for table to get cleaned (need more than one person cleaning tables especially when it wasn't that busy). Salad, NY strip and potato was delicious. Bread was really fluffy and didn't taste like anything but air. Ribs were good but sauce should be on side. Sauce was too sweet. Service was very good. Obviously when you go to a Logan's, your aren't really looking for a great steak. You just want an experience that feel worth the money. This is not the Logan's where you'll get that. Ordered the 6 ounce sirloin. Was quite bland and over charred. I ordered it mid rare and it arrived well done. One of the better spots in Monroe. Of course you have the crunch of peanut shells with every step, but the rolls are always warm and delicious and the staff truly cares to make it a great experience. I am a vegetarian and although there weren't many options I ordered a salad and not a bit of meat was on it (finally didn't have to send it back like some places). This place is always awesome. They bend over backward to please-- all you have to do is ask. I always ask to have more veggies on my salads and they always do it right. I'm a former V.P of a major restaurant organization and I watch everyone from hostess to managers. I watched as a young man went table to table talking to them. He came up to my wife and I talked for a minute and went on. He is obviously a manager there, can't remember his name but he is special. I see the way his employees adore him as he's slapping high fives,keeping his employees lose. They enjoy working for him. I've only seen this a handful of times in my 50 year career.
