My husband and I came for dinner. We experienced devastating losses in our family and I received a gift certificate from friends. We ordered the fried shrimp appetizer which was delicious. I'm not too keen on spicy but this was really good. We were not impressed with the rest. In the past, I've eaten here as both a dining in and carrying out customer, and not had an issue. However, lately, it's really seemed to go downhill. Recently I called in an order over the phone. I ordered several bacon cheeseburgers cooked medium with fries, 2 cheesecakes, and 2 molten lava cakes. She asked if I wanted any sauces and I asked for all the ranch she wanted to give me, so she said she made a note of it. We arrived 10 minutes ahead of time and called back in to tell them which curbside spot we were in. They were approx 20 minutes late bringing our food out. That was the start of our poor experience with them and definitely not the end. When they finally came out with our large pickup order, as she was handing the bag over, she said "Don't worry! I made sure to put in lots of extra ranch for y'all!" That sounded good, at least! We noticed the food was not piping hot, which made us wonder if it had been sitting on the counter for a while. Got home, and pulled out our food orders. Every single burger was missing bacon. And every single burger was totally RAW inside. The burgers are super thick here, so these patties had lots and lots of mushy bright red raw beef in the centers. I have never seen something like this in my life at any restaurant. The fries were okay but cold. It was a gross dinner. So I was hoping dessert would help redeem things. But nah. There were no cheesecakes - but instead the chocolate stampede cake was in its place. We all tried those cakes with the weird vanilla ice cream stuff, and we also tried the molten lava cakes which were cold. All of it tasted like gross fake plastic chocolate. The ice cream had real vanilla beans in it, but the actual ice cream part had a very odd texture and was quite disgusting. So I exchanged $120 of hard earned money for waiting too long for our meal; cold and way undercooked burgers; and very gross desserts. Every single part of our order was wrong. Got there at 7:31, checked in, and waited. It was 7:45. I called. The girl who picked up said she will get it to me as soon as she can, with no time frame. After waiting til 7:55, I walked inside to the host stand. I told the worthless boy about my curbside order that was supposed to be ready at 7:30. He told me "to go orders are over there at the bar." I then replied, "if I ordered curbside, I shouldn't have to come in here in the first place. Can you check on my order at the bar?" He walked away after a few second blank stare and started wiping tables down. After overhearing us, a dreadlocked man asked what the name was and went to check on it for us. He said it will be out in less than a minute, its being bagged up. Decided to give it another shot since it was barely 8pm and it was close by, but this visit today was just absolutely horrible. Was forced to use plastic utensils, and ordered a drink which never arrived. Asked for a real knife to cut my steak but the server never returned with it. Im a server myself so I speak from experience, but the booth we were sat at was dirty and last but not least I found a hair on my plate that did not belong to me. Maybe I could use a negative star on this review. My wife ordered our supper to go. When we arrived, the nice lady brought the food out, and informed us that what I had ordered they did not have any of that, so they just deducted it from the bill and I was left with nothing. That type of Service is what makes Longhorn steakhouse in Monroe a negative star experience. Not that it really mattered. I have food at my house so I came home threw me something in the air fryer and ate supper. But this just goes hand-in-hand with the past experiences we have had at this establishment, poor service, slow service, and food that was subpar. However, the old lady that they had at the hostess stand was rude to me and my 90 year old grandfather because I calmly asked him if he was okay with waiting 15 minutes to be seated. I went to this location on Saturday evening, around 6:15 pm. It was really crowded and for a party of 3 we were told it would be an hour before we would be able to get a table. We finally got seated around 7:30 pm. Mind you, the only reason I waited that long period of time was because I wanted to order the stuffed mushrooms. I almost never give 5 stars but this was without complaint. The hot mushroom appetizers were delicious, baked in a white cheddar sauce with some spices. There was a brown bread and butter on the table, warm. The drinks came quickly. The place was packed on a Monday night - surprise! and still service was prompt. My friend had a flat chicken cutlet with a cheese sauce which he said was delicious. I had the 6 oz. filet, tender and heavily seasoned but not too much. I also got the baked sweet potato - again great. It was been baked in the coals which gave a smoky taste. Side salads at steakhouses are frequently anemic - not here, a complete salad, chopped tomatoes, celery, grated cheese, onions, the works. And my blue cheese dressing was twice the size of what I am accustomed to getting. Any problems? The parking lot needs to be resurfaced but that is not the steakhouse's responsibility. read more

Let me first say the food was delicious and the restaurant was clean. So you wonder why I only gave this restaurant three stars? First we had gotten there at two o'clock and our male waiter served us bread and our delicious sweet tea and a ginger-ail very quickly. Then came the issues we ordered the fried onions and a French onion soup and a salad for an appetizer. This took 30 minutes to come over then our main course two steaks didn't show up for another 30 minutes. Now it is after three. The restaurant was not crowded and we got a lame excuse that our steaks were delayed being put down and the people behind us were told that their food was delayed due to a shift change in the kitchen. Sorry I'm not buying that. This is what I think happened our waiter seem to disappear for long periods of time without checking on his customers or our food being cooked in an appropriate time. In other words he dropped the ball. Fumble! There goes one star boom! Poor service! The lady that brought us to our table looked like she didn't want to be there as well. Boom there goes another star. I think the next time we are in that area and won't a delicious steak in a timely manner we are going to Logan's across the street. First please know I love Longhorn Steakhouse and have eaten there in different cities and states. However, yesterday's experience at the Monroe location was well below average. I ordered two ribeye steak dinners, a hamburger dinner with an order of firecrackers and mashed potatoes. My order was over $100.00. The steaks and the hamburger was both dry and tough. We ended up tossing the meals. It was not worth the cost. I will not visit this location again and I do not recommend it for anyone. read more

Ok most people have been to long horn and I used to work there. This location is ok. I came at 4:00 for a pick up and was not greeted at all. Once some one saw me they said do you need a menu, not you need a table or good afternoon how can I help you. So. Not sure of the staff. We were seated with no wait and were promptly greeted by our server, Rodrigo, who was welcoming and extremely pleasant. Service was timely without feeling rushed, and the food was delicious. We both ordered the filets, with perfectly steamed and seasoned asparagus for me and sweet potato for my husband. I have honestly never had a better steak anywhere at any price! It was juicy, fork-tender, and seasoned to perfection. At a generous 6 ounces, it was sized just right for me, while my husband enjoyed the 9-ounce cut. We started with some Texas Tonions, I love them better than Blooming Onions to be honest. They have their own signature sauce for them but I prefer ranch with them. I got the shaved prime rib sandwich and substituted the fries with a loaded baked potato and a side order of broccoli. Everything was seasoned well and really good and I loved the sauce for the prime rib sandwich. The prime rib has to have the sauce. It's a must have. My girlfriend got the 8 oz. renegade sirloin with fries and a salad. The steak was really good and cooked to her expectations of medium rare. But the fries were bland and needed more salt and were not really warm. And her salad had too much ranch dressing in it. I visited this location with my cousin on 6/28 and it was pretty bad from the start. We had to wait for a table so I went to get a beer and the bartender overfilled the glass and it was dripping all over the place. The bartender didn't even wipe the glass or give me a napkin, she just said "here" and walked off. Then we were called and we get to our booth and there was food and drops of liquid all over the booth. I took my cloth napkin to wipe it and then asked for a new napkin. God forbid I get a cloth napkin back. Our waiter had a slight attitude. We got Wild West shrimp which were delicious.
