Another chimney company gave me an estimate for over 5600 dollars worth of work needing to be done!!! Jack came out and did a thorough inspection. They can scare you with all kinds of expensive "necessary repairs" and it's tough to know how honest they are. Jack is probably the most honest and professional chimney sweep I have come across. He made a few helpful suggestions for repairs to my chimney (fixing the cracked/chipped cement on the crown and putting caps on - both were very necessary) and his prices are very reasonable. Jack cleaned our fireplace and chimney and when we started the next fire the house filled with smoke. I called Jack and told him about our problem and he told me he was going to talk to someone about it and call me back the next day. Jack never called back and after several attempts to reach Jack again with no success, I called a different chimney sweep. The other chimney sweep noticed the problem on his walk to our front door.
