Hunter drew up the plans based on our specs on his iPad. We were able to select the materials, colors and the full plan. There was also an agreement drawn up that protected both us and his company. This was a great way to build trust and peace of mind that the project would be completed on time. We also needed a gate added to our chain link fence on one side of the House. I wanted a double gate, and I wanted to use some of the materials that I already had from a previous project. Hunter drew up the plans for the gate, and the price was much less than we expected. We were very impressed that we wouldn't have to wait until next year for these projects to be completed, as most contractors were booked out that far. We are extremely satisfied with the way everything turned out. We use our deck every day, and our dog loves sitting in bed and looking out the sliding door to see what's going on. Now we can just let her out the door instead of walking across the length of the house to let her out to do her business. Both Hunter and his crew were extremely professional. They always cleaned up after themselves every day they were here. The work was done with care and attention to detail. The deck is sturdy, attractive and we've gotten many compliments from friends and neighbors! Even after several calls and requests to modify a simple door replacement quote he showed up the day of the install with the wrong quote information. This was for a small project as a test run for a bigger project we are planning on doing. All I can say at this point is there's no way we would work with them again. The total lack of follow up and lack of communication is unacceptable when it comes to consumer affairs. The only reason they get 1 star is for the understanding carpenters that did a nice job.

DW Elite Decks is by far the best experience we've ever had in a home project. Over the past two years, we received 6-7 bids for our new deck. After meeting with Dan, he became the easy choice for our project and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our project includes a stamped concrete patio, a PVC deck (Azek brand) that is uncovered in one area and then covered in another area that includes dining and living room areas. We had a stone TV wall added (no fireplace) and a nice custom mantle that Dan and team added for us. We bead board on the ceiling, a ceiling fan, lighting, and in deck stair lights. When dealing with contractors, there are a few things that are important to us: 1) Be responsive, especially over email and text 2) Be proactive in telling us changes to schedules 3) Be thorough in documenting the project and every selection in writing so there is no confusion. 4) Be punctual and professional - this includes your crew. 5) Be honest and treat the project as if it were your own home. Dan and the entire DW team meet all criteria. In our visits with Dan, he was patient and heard our ideas (some of them bad) and was great about explaining alternative approaches to the deck design and selections we made. He was also very good about explaining cost impacts of decisions we were making. If we had questions or concerns, he was quick to respond to emails, calls and text messages. He told us his team would show up and get started at 6:45am each morning and I've never seen a group this punctual. I wish my company had people that could show up to meetings on time like these guys show up to work. For a month, the DW crew was our morning wake-up and I don't recall them every being a minute late. The project was flawless and we love our new addition to our house. I'm sitting on my covered deck as I write this review - it's become the room for dinner, royals games, morning coffee, games with the kids. It really is a dream room for us and I can't thank DW Elite Decks enough for making such a big investment a truly wonderful experience. He told me when giving me our bid that he's usually not the cheapest. He may not have been, but he was competitive and worth paying a premium for the peace of mind in doing business with a true group of professionals. He answered our questions every step of the way and was sure to show us the progress of the project so he could answer our questions. When we had a concern he was quick to address it so we were satisfied with the results. They also did great at protecting our home from the dust and debris of the job and then did a thorough clean up when the project was done. I am a busy mom and was in and out of the home and felt totally comfortable with them there while I was gone - which is hard to find nowadays.
