The tile work they did on our shower and floor looks fantastic, as well as the rest of the work they did. Their price was very competitive with other contractors. Ultimately we choose Carlson because Chris went into detail about how he would seal up our shower that was leaking behind the walls, the materials he would use, etc. When other companies just threw out a number. Chris and his crew went above and beyond to make sure our bathroom was done right. I would definitely recommend them.

There was a serious lack of transparency and communication regarding service. Victor construction initially told me they would be replacing my roof as well as my gutters. However, only the roof got replaced. When questioned, they claimed it was a clerical error on their part and did not do anything to correct this. Not only that, but the roofers ran into my garage door causing it to need to be replaced. Victor Construction took very little accountability, making the roofer pay for the new door out of pocket. When I asked Victor roofing if they were insured, I never got an answer which increased my anxiety about the situation. After a week, the door was finally fixed but I had to make a lot of phone calls to get progress made. I also did not have the contact information of the person who broke the garage door for several days. As a first time home buyer and being new to this type of work, I felt taken advantage of during this whole situation. When my realtor tried to communicate with Victor Construction themselves, they were ignored and I was called because I had less experience dealing with these types of issues. I would not trust this company with projects if given the choice!

This was a four day job and they arrived exactly on time each day and efficiently worked to accomplish what they needed to (then left for the day, so probably only in the house about 4 hrs/day) - two days of prep/ painting, a day to dry and final day to ensure everything looked great and reassemble the island. They were meticulous about ensuring anything around the painted area wouldn't be damaged (ie: counter tops, floors). Other two levels on top are 10' ceilings. It's tall, it's tough to paint. From the paint crew, there was virtually no paint prep beyond pressure washing the house before spraying with paint. The caulk around the windows has already failed three months later, nail holes are clearly visible, our metal roof is dented everywhere they stood and put ladders on it, our agreement that they would remove and replace all rotten wood amounted to the crew taking out one board and leaving enough shrapnel of that board on our roof to clog the gutter twice. They did take out another board when called back out. I think we need to completely repaint the house. Incredibly disappointed. We called them out I think three times to fix damage and re-caulk nail holes and still.... it just looks crappy. I should have turned back when I found out there was no contract to sign.

He answered our questions every step of the way and was sure to show us the progress of the project so he could answer our questions. They also did great at protecting our home from the dust and debris of the job and then did a thorough clean up when the project was done. They never seemed rushed. We hired them to remove our 50 year old board and batten siding, soffits and facia board. They installed new wall insulation, plywood, house wrap and James Hardie lap siding, soffits and facia board. They had excellent communication during the bidding process were patient with me throughout all of my questions about the expectations for the product and work as well as during the installation process. When contacted the team, I received a response in less than 24 hours and sometimes I received the response in person. They even fixed a problem with the roof that had never been resolved by a roofing company to ensure I didn't continue to have issues with water run off ruining my soffits. Every day they left the job site cleaner than it was when they started the job. My family and I always felt comfortable with everyone that was on site and they ensured there was as little disruption to our daily lives as possible. When there were delays in getting the windows, that I ordered separately, they were understanding and prompt in getting back out to my house to get the last piece of the job completed. We wish we could hire them to work on all of our contractor needs. I would recommend them over and over!
