I cannot recommend Jorge and his team enough. They were professional and did a fantastic job. Jorge was great at communicating when his team would be there or when he had to step out to get more supplies. He answered our questions every step of the way and was sure to show us the progress of the project so he could answer our questions. When we had a concern he was quick to address it so we were satisfied with the results. They also did great at protecting our home from the dust and debris of the job and then did a thorough clean up when the project was done. I am a busy mom and was in and out of the home and felt totally comfortable with them there while I was gone - which is hard to find nowadays. We have a lot more projects coming up and you better believe we will be hiring Uprise Remodeling again. Our finished project looks amazing. Highly highly recommend.

Jorge and his team tackled a pantry, a full master bath, and a partial kitchen renovation ( rest of the kitchen is still in the planning stages.) I cannot begin to say what an amazing experience this was for us. We are more than satisfied with the work that they did. Jorge listened, gave advice, and walked us through some of the decision making. The work was timely, affordable (we had gotten other estimates), as clean as it could be given the work being done, and the guys were very respectful. More than that, we literally trusted these men to be in our home when we weren't. And that is huge! Their attention to detail and work ethic is a breath of fresh air. We look forward to the future work we will do in our home.

All others bidders for the project just gave us a lump sum. Work they did included moving a toilet in the water closet, tearing out the old shower in water closet, removing a too large tub and replacing it with a giant onyx shower, changing the window in shower to glass block, removing popcorn from vaulted ceiling, painting all walls and ceiling, installing heated floor with new tile and completely replacing the vanity and mirrors. Also switched out all hardware down to the doorknobs and installed new outlets and LED mirrors. They stuck to the exact budget proposed and finished a week early. Kept everything completely clean while in the house and always made sure we had access to our walk in closet in the master bath. All work was done with the highest craftsmanship and there was nothing that they needed to come back and fix. Clint was a complete professional throughout the entire process and I can't recommend him and his crew highly enough. We will definitely be using them for future jobs. Thanks KJ!

I contacted Jorge via Yelp on the 16th of the month. He replied after awhile and said he would be happy to come out. I called him on the 18th. He came late in the day, a bit later than he stated, but did arrive. We talked about the project and I showed him what was needed. He said he would email me a quote. On the 21st I texted him asking about the quote. He said he would send it that night that he "promised". It is now the 26th. No emails or texts or calls. If he doesnt want to do the job, that's more than okay, just tell me. That's honesty I can respect. But when you say you'll so something, and you have to say "I promise" and you don't do that thing? We used contractors on several remodeling projects since moving to Overland Park a few years ago,…read moreincluding finishing our basement and remodeling 3 bathrooms. DW Elite Decks is by far the best experience we've ever had in a home project. Over the past two years, we received 6-7 bids for our new deck. After meeting with Dan, he became the easy choice for our project and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our project includes a stamped concrete patio, a PVC deck (Azek brand) that is uncovered in one area and then covered in another area that includes dining and living room areas. We had a stone TV wall added (no fireplace) and a nice custom mantle that Dan and team added for us. We bead board on the ceiling, a ceiling fan, lighting, and in deck stair lights. When dealing with contractors, there are a few things that are important to us: 1) Be responsive, especially over email and text 2) Be proactive in telling us changes to schedules 3) Be thorough in documenting the project and every selection in writing so there is no confusion. 4) Be punctual and professional - this includes your crew. 5) Be honest and treat the project as if it were your own home. Dan and the entire DW team meet all criteria. In our visits with Dan, he was patient and heard our ideas (some of them bad) and was great about explaining alternative approaches to the deck design and selections we made. He was also very good about explaining cost impacts of decisions we were making. If we had questions or concerns, he was quick to respond to emails, calls and text messages. He told us his team would show up and get started at 6:45am each morning and I've never seen a group this punctual. I wish my company had people that could show up to meetings on time like these guys show up to work. For a month, the DW crew was our morning wake-up and I don't recall them every being a minute late. The project was flawless and we love our new addition to our house. I'm sitting on my covered deck as I write this review - it's become the room for dinner, royals games, morning coffee, games with the kids. It really is a dream room for us and I can't thank DW Elite Decks enough for making such a big investment a truly wonderful experience. He told me when giving me our bid that he's usually not the cheapest. He may not have been, but he was competitive and worth paying a premium for the peace of mind in doing business with a true group of professionals. I will refer them to anyone - just gave his information to my parents.
