The first thing I noticed when walking in was how clean the tables and floor are. Love it. The bartender was chill, not overwhelming. I tried just a taste of the vanilla bean, and he said they order Madagascar vanilla beans monthly to make the flavor. It's low alcohol, about 5%, and it was like a dessert. I love vanilla, and I love cider so the combo was perfect. I left to workout and came back, and tried the blackberry (tart) and the maple (sweet, def can taste the maple) but decided on a small of the vanilla because I just love it and it's totally unique. Wish I lived here so I could come regularly. It's definitely the type of spot you can bring friends and play cards while sipping cider, perfect winter vibe. Atmosphere: This place is open and fun inside. It smells wonderful and has lots of seating. They also have seating outside, which I love. There's not enough of good places with outdoor seating anymore. They also have a back room with some games, but I was told the ping pong table was reserved. Seemed odd, but all good. Service: the guy who helped us was super helpful, patient, and engaging. No complaints with the service at all. Drinks: the ciders were really good! The flavors I tried were wonderful. I also really appreciated that the menu had a tasting level that told you which ciders were dry and which were more sweet. I prefer dry, so this was really helpful! I ended up doing a flight and got the POG, Lingering heat, Maple, Vanilla Bean, blackberry, and Honey Perry. My favorites were the Lingering Heat and POG. I think some of these ciders, the POG especially, would be delicious in a cocktail. I'm glad we finally got the chance to try their cider! We will hopefully be back!! read more

We were visiting Spokane and rented a small one bedroom apartment downtown. We were walking the neighborhood when we spotted Locust Cider. Neither of us are cider fans, but I enjoy beer - a lot. Becky is a seltzer girl but will have the occasional beer. We stopped in anyway and we're glad we did. We were greeted by the young woman behind the bar. She was fantastic. Funny, cute, energetic and well versed in their cider and beer offerings. I wish that I could remeber her name. It was not listed on my texted receipt. No seltzers, but they did offer two beers among the vast list of ciders on tap, so we opted for beers. They were tasty beers and those around us seemed to really enjoy their ciders. The tap room was quite large with bar seating and plenty of tables. The artwork adorning the walls was cool too. In the back there was a big game room with old-school vido games, ping pong and board games. We did not eat, but the food looked pretty damn good. If we lived in Spokane I could envision us developing a taste for ciders! read more

Fantastic! I'm not even really much of a cider fan, but my good buddy Joe turned me on to it. We're here visiting because my son's hockey team is here for the playoffs. I got the Vanilla Bean cider, and it was really good. And the pizza with BBQ sauce and sausage, I think. Everything was great, and the order guy was great helping us decide what to get. This was a great find. I know the Pacific Northwest is known for its ciders, but this place was a cut above. Katie was my server and very personable. I got a flight with some ciders I chose and some where I told her to surprise me, and her choices were definitely my favorites. (She actually blended a watermelon cider and the smack lemon). Absolutely amazing quaint little place downtown! We were walking to the car after dinner and while most of downtown was closed we noticed the lights on and decided to pop in for a minute. The tender at this cider house was so passionate and knowledgeable about all of the products on tab. He explained how each one is made and what makes them so special. And boy are they delicious! And for having no added sugar they are so flavorful and sweet on their own. It's hard to choose which one to have because they are all so good. There is also a welcoming back room where art from local artists is featured, various game systems available to play and a ping pong table! How fun! They also serve pizzas that looked good but we already ate so didn't taste them. If they are same quality as the ciders though I'm sure they will be out of this world! read more

My family and I were down from Canada and staying for a couple weeks near Sandpoint Idaho. We took a day to explore Spokane downtown and saw there was Locust Cider. This was exciting for us as last year we visited Locust Cider in Seattle and loved it! The experience was great for our family. My wife and I enjoyed some great ciders while the kids went to the back and played ping pong, various video games and/or board games. Nick was working that day and really took care of us. He was welcoming, knowledgable, and made the experience there great! I ordered a flight of various ciders and loved each different flavour profile while my wife ordered a beer and enjoyed it as well. My flight consisted of the Mojito, Vanilla Bean, Creamiscle ciders, and a hybrid of the vanilla cider and stout. I was easily sold on six pack of the Madagascar Vanilla Bean.. looking back I should have tripled that order. What's so fantastic about Locust? 1. The owner is a boss lady who's kicking ass in a largely male dominant industry. 2. They serve both killer ciders and beers, so you're likely to find something for everyone. 3. Not only is she a bad ass brewer, but she also has mastered the art of beer + cider mixology. Several of the menu items can be combined to create the ultimate flavor palette. 4. Free temporary tattoos for your drunk entertainment. This brew house is filled with a variety of seating and table top games. Locust does serve some small munchies, but we decided to bring lunch from a nearby sushi joint. So glad we stumbled upon this gem, but disappointed I can't get my hands on another vanilla cider. We came here after a long day traveling with two kids. It was the perfect spot for us. The service was friendly and informative. It was a big space and kid friendly (they even had some toys our 3 year old could play with). We split a cider tasting flight and some pizza. We don't usually drink cider, but had fun tasting the different flavors and relaxing. The pizza was decent and did the trick. I wouldn't recommend this as a dinner spot, but if you're looking for a casual spot to try cider and curb your hunger in an inviting atmosphere give it a shot! read more

This is as honest as I can get..some of the ciders are pretty good. The Honey Pear is actually a great cider, leagues above the rest. Everything else was decent. The Vanilla Bean was enjoyable, not something Id order often but definitely worth experiencing. As for the flatbread pizzas..terrible, taste like tomato paste but marketed as marinara. The bbq sauce on our other flatbread was very jarring and we only took one bite each, pictured below. I feel this place is largely misleading..all of their flavors are blended apple based ciders but touted as being flavored pear or cherry ciders. Maybe I am in the wrong but fairly overpriced and the flatbreads are a huge pass to anyone interested. I would wholeheartedly recommend the HoneyPear though, and that vanilla..definitely worth the try at least once. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't believe how good this place is for beer, service and ambiance! Jess was incredible in her knowledge about the ciders, the combinations she created and how helpful and kind she was! I loved the table Locust had set up when we arrived! So good and on point for everything related to Covid-19. And they had a sign for the table for clean or dirty. We tried a lot of different ciders and decided on the vanilla bean and the raspberry lemongrass. The tables are really pretty and I loved the art on the walls! It was a cold Sunday afternoon my wife and I wanted to check out this new Cider house. Nice open space lots of tables and board games are available to keep you busy. We shared a flight of Ciders the Vanilla Bean and Dark Cherry were our favorites. Yes really the Vanilla sounds strange but it is very nice more like a Cream soda. Hit Locust on a Monday afternoon. The place smelled like straight bleach, like someone got carried away cleaning the floors. The cider was great, as Locust always is. The service was underwhelming as the young lady seemed distracted with other priorities. So we left there feeling, meh. 50 / 50 chance we'll go back. We mentioned that we were on scooters, but wanted to take some cider back with us and she got us a bag and wrapped up the growler so that if we dropped it it would not break.
