    Cider and pizza!
    Kevin B.

Fantastic! I'm not even really much of a cider fan, but my good buddy Joe turned me on to it. We're here visiting because my son's hockey team is here for the playoffs. I got the Vanilla Bean cider, and it was really good. And the pizza with BBQ sauce and sausage, I think. Everything was great, and the order guy was great helping us decide what to get. I'd come back, and try some of their other flavors.

    My flight of six ciders

This was a great find. I know the Pacific Northwest is known for its ciders, but this place was a cut above. Katie was my server and very personable. I got a flight with some ciders I chose and some where I told her to surprise me, and her choices were definitely my favorites. (She actually blended a watermelon cider and the smack lemon). It sounds like the fruits they use for the flavors (and the honey) are local, so that's cool as well.

Lots of choices, and even more with the mixes

Great service, happily gave us tastes of just about every cider. Great ciders. Really enjoyed one of the recommended mixes.

Absolutely amazing quaint little place downtown! We were walking to the car after dinner and while most of downtown was closed we noticed the lights on and decided to pop in for a minute. The tender at this cider house was so passionate and knowledgeable about all of the products on tab. He explained how each one is made and what makes them so special. And boy are they delicious! And for having no added sugar they are so flavorful and sweet on their own. It's hard to choose which one to have because they are all so good. There is also a welcoming back room where art from local artists is featured, various game systems available to play and a ping pong table! How fun! They also serve pizzas that looked good but we already ate so didn't taste them. If they are same quality as the ciders though I'm sure they will be out of this world!

If you are hungry or waiting a bite to eat with your drink, make sure to call ahead of time. Came for food & drinks and they had zero food options. Was super bummed. Cider was good.

Pour some cider on me. Locust Brewing is serving up some of the best ciders the west coast has to offer. My flight consisted of the Mojito, Vanilla Bean, Creamiscle ciders, and a hybrid of the vanilla cider and stout. I was easily sold on six pack of the Madagascar Vanilla Bean.. looking back I should have tripled that order. What's so fantastic about Locust? 1. The owner is a boss lady who's kicking ass in a largely male dominant industry. 2. They serve both killer ciders and beers, so you're likely to find something for everyone. 3. Not only is she a bad ass brewer, but she also has mastered the art of beer + cider mixology. Several of the menu items can be combined to create the ultimate flavor palette. 4. Free temporary tattoos for your drunk entertainment. This brew house is filled with a variety of seating and table top games. Locust does serve some small munchies, but we decided to bring lunch from a nearby sushi joint. So glad we stumbled upon this gem, but disappointed I can't get my hands on another vanilla cider. Join me in a petition to bring Locust to Southern California!

Visit on Thursdays for their $10 (4 tasters) or $15 (6 tasters) flight special! Its a great way to try a few different ciders given their large tap list. Their flatbreads are really good, too!

This was my first experience with Ciders. We ran into Locust walking downtown Spokane. So glad we stopped here. The bartenders were so helpful, they explained the drinks and allowed us to sample before choosing our drinks. I can't wait to go back!

Loved the cider here! Stopped in and got a flight. We bought a mix and match six pack of half vanilla bean/half honey pear. The vanilla bean is so unique and is a new favorite. Wish Locust would sell their ciders in Alaska!

This is as honest as I can get..some of the ciders are pretty good. The Honey Pear is actually a great cider, leagues above the rest. Everything else was decent. The Vanilla Bean was enjoyable, not something Id order often but definitely worth experiencing. As for the flatbread pizzas..terrible, taste like tomato paste but marketed as marinara. The bbq sauce on our other flatbread was very jarring and we only took one bite each, pictured below. I feel this place is largely misleading..all of their flavors are blended apple based ciders but touted as being flavored pear or cherry ciders. Maybe I am in the wrong but fairly overpriced and the flatbreads are a huge pass to anyone interested. I would wholeheartedly recommend the HoneyPear though, and that vanilla..definitely worth the try at least once.

The manager Sydney was excellent. She got us to a Italian restaurant nearby. She was efficient prompt, and I hope she's recognized by management. We will be back again, and since we live in Woodinville, we've gone to many of the Locust Cider's.

Kid friendly, lots of seating, cool space.

I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Note: this may not be a long review because I put off writing this review. In short food and service is spot on. GO AND TRY! Make sure you go during happy hour so you can try a bunch of food and if you're not full yet order dinner, LOL We walk in on a Friday night not knowing restaurant week was happening and decided to walk over early since we're meeting up with friends...so happy hour just started too! Now we got SPOILED because we're looking at three different menus: happy hour, restaurant week and their everyday menu. Each had something we wanted to try so let the ordering / food fest begin! Street corn ribs, Brussels chip = super light, pokè tostada, steelhead chowder (not pictured), halibut, sea bass...many cocktails since we walked and dessert. We had dinner with friends so there was much more food on the table than in the review. We went to Cascadia Public House on a Sunday with pretty high expectations after reading so many…read moregood reviews, but unfortunately it was a letdown from start to finish. The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
