Someone broke a key off in my mailbox at the condo complex where I live. The key was deeply lodged and required having the lock drilled and replaced. I call 24/7 locksmith and was told exactly when they would arrive. The locksmith showed up within the hour agreed and had the job done within half an hour. If I could give this service zero stars I would. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any sort of roadside assistance or any service industry. Nick wouldn't give me any sort of a price quote on the phone and was barley audible because he was "finishing his lunch." When he showed up, he lectured me for 30 minutes about how I can go through my insurance and that my situation wasn't an easy one for him. Sorry? I had already been on the phone for 45 minutes with my insurance and AAA which wouldn't help my specific situation. This led me to call 24/7 locksmith. So as Nick was "educating" me, I was becoming more and more late to scheduled meetings (which he knew about). He started the price at $159 which wouldn't work for me. I had told AAA not to come because they were going to charge $140 to make me a spare key. I called the 24/7 company office for pricing when Nick wouldn't give me a direct answer. They told me $54(+). This was a routine lockout that would need the use of air bags to open the door. Nothing unusual that would cost $159. I told Nick that I would rather just go through AAA which he responded with another lecture about how much his time was worth. He told me that he had bills to pay himself, that he only got a percentage of what I paid him, and that I should really be thinking about how much trouble he's gone to for coming out already. I told him I had $60 cash with me. He said that would work and then told me that I really should reconsider because he only could complete 6 lockouts per day because each took an hour to get to (a complete lie) and that I should think about the trouble he's gone to already. He needs a lesson on customer service if you ask me. So he finally got around to getting the car door unlocked with air bags. In the middle of the procedure he says "uhh.. So you can pay me now." I had the cash in hand and was very willing to pay him, but he hadn't even completed the unlocking and had his hand completely full with equipment. Just an example about how very rude and condescending he was throughout the entire experience. As soon as he gets the door unlocked, the alarm starts to go off. He demanded that I give him the money at this point while I was frantically trying to stop the alarm. The keys for this vehicle were not in the car. The whole unlocking procedure was aimed to get MY keys out of my boyfriends car, which was locked and he had taken his keys car with him on a trip to CA. So the alarm was going off and Nick told me that I could jerry-rig the door handle to disconnect the wiring for the alarm, but insisted that I pay him. When I stalled because of the blaring alarm that I hadn't expected, and asked him what to do, he told me that I was "holding him there" and not "paying him for his service" and that he had to "rush off to another job." He told me that I hadn't paid him to turn the alarm off and that that was up to me. I gave him his money because he became very defensive and demanding and quite frankly I was scared of what he was going to do. He then sped away from me and my boyfriend's car alarm, but didn't leave before telling me that I needed to "grow up." When I called the office to complain, they listened, but never got back to me or followed up as promised. The alarm now goes off every hour until my boyfriend gets back from California to shut it off in 2 days. Our apartment complex is livid to say the least as am I. This service is very misleading and sketchy. They don't have any sort of secure pricing system and don't care at all about quality of service. I'll definitely be going through AAA next time no matter how expensive it gets. At least I'll be treated with dignity and not "educated" for 30 minutes and then hurried to pay because I'm "withholding them from another job." read more

We contacted this service on Father's Day after our keys got locked inside the car. The service quoted us $15 for the service call and $35 to unlock it. This sounded to good to be true, so we agreed. When the technician got there he handed me a receipt to sign (he was talking and starting to unlock my vehicle as I signed) I didn't notice that the price wasn't filled out. When the technician was all done he filled in the amount but it was for $179.00!! I told him that was not the price we were quoted. The technician became very irate, so to stop the back and fourth we paid it. Beware of this bate and switch company. They will burn you! read more

This company is so unprofessional. I just purchased a home and had to get my mailbox locks changed while the carrier was there. The price wasn't clearly communicated. They first scheduled for the wrong day. When they did come out they arrived early. While waiting for the carrier, they had my husband fill out the invoice but he did not sign. The locksmith told him he had to sign first before the work was done. So, my husband signed before any work was ever started and before the price was clear. After all was said and done, the estimated price of $50 became $118. When you call the company they answer the phone "hello", never introcude the company. Then they told me there is no way that happended. I don't even want a refund, I want them to be honest and fair. Its great their policy is to communicate first but the policy doesn't mean anything if its not followed. They tell people to sign to authorize the work to be started when in fact your signing authorizing to the charges that aren't even listed yet. This company is a joke. Spend your money with an honest company! read more
