My door lock was broken and I was about to depart on vacation the next day. I called Locksmith Andy to schedule an immediate visit. He came within an hour or so and quickly fixed the door. No BS, no messing around, just straight forward quality work. Andy has a great manner, is super nice guy and the service is at a good price. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this service.....his Yelp reviews speak for themselves! read more

Quick response- even on Thanksgiving day!, friendly, and was a lower price than most of the quotes I got. Will use again.

My top lock was broken to the point that I was locked IN my apartment. I called Andy and he sent a colleague with great expertise in locks who arrived in less than an hour. The locksmith solved the problem in less than ten minutes, maybe even less. The cost was fair. I would use Locksmith Andy again. read more

Andy really saved the day for us. We own a home in Brooklyn but live in Florida. One of our short term tenants was locked in and after trying unsuccessfully to reach me, called Andy. Andy could not reach me either (I was having dental surgery) but helped the tenant anyway (he could have declined to deal with this as he couldn't reach me and never dealt with us before). Andy took a chance and did the right thing. And he saved us a fire department call and hundreds of dollars (if not thousands had the fire department broken down the door!). He was fast, professional, friendly, and very reasonably priced. Saved me a ton of money, satisfied our tenant, and replaced a bad knob at the end of it all. And this all happened within hours! Andy's the best service provider I've used in a very long time and he will be our locksmith for any future needs. Thank you Andy! read more

My apartment door lock was stripped and My husband and I were having issues opening our apartment door from the inside and unlocking it from the outside. I called 5 different locksmiths for quotes and Locksmith Andy was the one to give me an upfront flat price without breaking my budget for a new lock. They sent Daniel who was very pleasant and efficient, he didn't charge me for drilling (As another locksmith I contact said he would charge for any drilling) They were awesome and My husband and I are really appreciative we don't have to open the door 15 minutes before we're leaving for work and then Pray we can get back in after a long day. Nice and easy I would definitely recommend them for any locksmith needs. read more

I locked myself out on a winter night and completely panicked (as one does esp. after a long day at work)! From the moment I called I felt taken care of - the operator was able to quickly give me a status on when Andy would arrive to my location and within minutes Andy himself called to let me know he'd be there in 10. He was right on time, friendly, understanding and worked quick to help resolve my issue. It started out as a stressful end to my day but from the moment I called it turned into a quick & seamless event & the lock was fixed in no time. Locksmith Andy was so accommodating & I would 100% recommend him for when you are in a jam! read more

Had a great experience with Daniel on Thursday. He texted to let me know he was on his way and he easily replaced one lock (and nicely salvaged one piece of the old one to help me save some money) and put in a whole new one on another door. He was courteous, quick and super polite. We will definitely use Locksmith Andy again. read more

Andy was great! He helped us fix a simple problem at an extremely fair price, rather than gouging us with miniumums. He really cares about his work and was very personable. He's my first call next time I need a locksmith. read more

Scheduled an appointment with a technician to replace several locks. He was right on time and was super easy to work with. He did a great job of explaining exactly what work needed to be done and went over all of the costs. Everything works great now and the whole experience couldn't have been better. Andy is amazing. He's gotten out of his bed for us twice around 3am and still maintains a friendly energy. A lot of the times locksmiths will quote u one price and end up charging you double. He's very honest and understanding. read more

Andy is the absolute best! Just a phone call away and always quick to respond. I got locked out of my apartment and he was my knight in shining locksmith. Forever grateful and thankful for your services. read more

We might've been jamming our door knob so it wouldn't latch and lock us out and superglue fixed our jimmy proof lock to "fix it" for more than a handful of years. Once we decided to be grownups and smarter about our home security, we e-mailed Andy the night before and he replied right away and confirmed an appointment with him the very next day. He just had to tighten something with our jimmy proof lock and replace our doorknob and what a difference now! Having a functioning door is something pretty special! Would recommend 10/10. Don't delay, well priced and professional! read more

Andy is awesome, super professional and a perfectionist! I locked myself out of my apartment installing a new lock and Andy showed up 15 mins later to let me inside. He finished the install job for us, corrected what we'd already screwed up and even went the extra mile to correct for our building settling. Would highly recommend! read more

Love Locksmith Andy! I just moved to lefferts gardens and in our three bedroom my bedroom somehow got locked internally! Ahhhhh! I'm pretty good at picking a simple lock like that but had no luck. Other places quoted me exorbitant amounts but this locksmith was friendly, reasonable, communicative and fast! They didn't even damage the door! I'd highly recommend and I guess Brooklyn isn't so bad after all:). Thanks Daniel! That was my locksmith. read more

Andy was at my door within 15 minutes of calling him, on a rainy evening no less! He was very helpful in explaining the entire process and what he was doing along the way to unlock my door to prevent any damage. I was very impressed with his thoroughness, kindness, and responsiveness to my initial call. If anyone in the vicinity of Park Slope doesn't consider calling his company, they are at a loss! Also, very good prices and accepts cards or cash read more

Andy did a really nice job and was kind and communicative the whole time he was here. Definitely would recommend.

I used Locksmith Andy to install two new locks for us. Andy was great to work with. He was extremely responsive and very knowledgeable about the various locks and what could/couldn't be done. He did the work very quickly and made sure I was satisfied at each step. I would definitely use Andy again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a locksmith. read more

Andy was great! He came over the same day I moved to change some locks for me. He replaced a lock in my front door and shaved down the door a bit to make it fit. He also replaced my mailbox lock and was able to cut down a piece in his car in order to make sure it closed properly. I would definitely use Andy again! read more

Mothers nightmare. My husband was out of town and my kid called to say he couldn't get into the house.... cylinder was spinning. Called 5 locksmiths... Locksmith Andy was at my home with 45 minutes. Andy came through in a pinch. I was locked out with my daughter and he not only helped me get back into my place, he was over with his tools within minutes of me calling. Andy got us in safe and sound, not to mention he seems like a nice guy. I recommend his company for locksmith needs. read more

Working with Andy was one of the best experiences I've ever had with any local business, period, let alone a locksmith. Andy is honest, pleasant, knowledgeable, and he goes above and beyond, while going out of his way to be reasonable on pricing. He beat all the other yelp recommended locksmiths I called with his quote and, as I explain below, he did some extra work for which he extremely kindly did not charge me just because he wanted me to be a very happy customer, which I am. He made time in his schedule to come in person on a Saturday, he installed a tricky new doorknob and latch for me on my closet and then (for no extra charge) filed down the door so that it closed properly. He had quoted me a price that didn't require cutting a new hole but then, when he ended up needing to cut the hole anyway, he didn't charge me extra. He also replaced the doorknob for my apartment door and only charged me the cost of the doorknob AND managed to re-attach the doorknob plate and wood on my front door and charged me about $20 for that. Throughout, he was super nice and he was super clear about what he was going to do, how much it would cost, and why before he did it. In short, I can't imagine a better locksmith, doorknob-fixing/installing experience. read more

Very professional and helpful. They went above and beyond the scope of work. Andy was a pleasure to be around and very easy to get in touch with read more

Do not question go straight to locksmith Andy. Every step from the phone call, to the quote to the quick service was smooth. Andy helped me get my bike unlocked after I lost my bike key. He was there within 10 minutes with reassurance and a smile. Made a stressful situation feel easy and painless. Wouldn't hesitate to contact again - finally have a lock guy in this city. read more

I found myself locked out of my house yesterday evening around 6 and was worried it would be hard to find a locksmith on a summer Friday. But I found Locksmith Andy on Yelp and he saved the day! I picked the coldest day of the year to snap a key in an outside automated overhead door lock at work and really needed to get it opened. Found Andy on Yelp, gave a call and explained that we really needed to get this taken care of quickly. His pleasant staff was super understanding and said he will call me right back. Five minutes later Andy calls and says it should be no problem and to give him 20 minutes. He was there in less than 15 and fixed the problem in five minutes without any need to bust open the lock casing! His original quoted price and his final charge was spot on. Super affordable as other places quoted higher and we have used locksmiths prior that charged more. Less than 30 minutes from initial call to problem solved and we were back on schedule. Andy was very nice, professional and knew exactly what to do. We now have a locksmith that we will be using going forward. Highly recommended! Thanks again, Andy... read more

Andy was terrific. Came on a Sunday to change locks in my new apartment, was friendly and upbeat, did great work, and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with how the door closed and the lock engaged, spending extra time filing the doorjamb down so that everything would work smoothly. I'll absolutely call him again if I need more work done in the future. read more

To rate this service under 5 stars would not serve the quality of this service justice. I almost never leave reviews, but this company was at my door within an hour, asked all the right questions before hand which the actual problem. Went above and beyond, did not seem upset to do so, was polite and professional. Oh and by the way, the workmanship was exceptional! read more

I was locked out of my apartment on a Sunday morning with an elderly dog. Andy was there in about ten minutes and had my door open in less than a minute. Hopefully I'm never locked out again, but if I am, I know who I'm going to call. read more

Andy was incredibly helpful and came out during a blizzard to help us. Our doorknob to our apartment entrance was just about to fall off and he gave us several options before making a decision. Didn't pressure at all to choose more expensive solutions and did a great job in making sure we didn't get locked in or out of our home the next time we opened our door. Will be recommending him to all of our neighbors and friends. He was on time, did a great job, trustworthy, reasonably priced and a super nice guy - couldn't ask for more read more
