Andy really saved the day for us. We own a home in Brooklyn but live in Florida. One of our short term tenants was locked in and after trying unsuccessfully to reach me, called Andy. We might've been jamming our door knob so it wouldn't latch and lock us out and superglue fixed our jimmy proof lock to "fix it" for more than a handful of years. Working with Andy was one of the best experiences I've ever had with any local business, period, let alone a locksmith. Andy is honest, pleasant, knowledgeable, and he goes above and beyond, while going out of his way to be reasonable on pricing. He beat all the other yelp recommended locksmiths I called with his quote and, as I explain below, he did some extra work for which he extremely kindly did not charge me just because he wanted me to be a very happy customer, which I am. He made time in his schedule to come in person on a Saturday, he installed a tricky new doorknob and latch for me on my closet and then (for no extra charge) filed down the door so that it closed properly. He had quoted me a price that didn't require cutting a new hole but then, when he ended up needing to cut the hole anyway, he didn't charge me extra. He also replaced the doorknob for my apartment door and only charged me the cost of the doorknob AND managed to re-attach the doorknob plate and wood on my front door and charged me about $20 for that. Throughout, he was super nice and he was super clear about what he was going to do, how much it would cost, and why before he did it. I picked the coldest day of the year to snap a key in an outside automated overhead door lock at work and really needed to get it opened. Found Andy on Yelp, gave a call and explained that we really needed to get this taken care of quickly. His pleasant staff was super understanding and said he will call me right back.
