On the way home from Hocking Hills we decided to try this place out in Bolivar. It's a nice little spot not to far off of Rt 77. The inside isn't overly large, but they do have a pretty big outside area as well. FYI there is a nice little area for purchasing t-shirts and various other Lockport items. Anyway, my cubano was good, albeit not as large of a sandwich as I would have liked. The pretzel appetizer was very good (loved the cheese). These breweries are always so loud inside for some reason, but other than that the vibes were good. We started with one server and for some reason we wound up with another, but both were friendly and attentive. I don't usually frequent Bolivar for eating, but I'd eat here again. read more

We finally arrived here hungry!! And let me tell you, the food does not disappoint. These are the best Mac and cheese bites I've ever had in my life. The pickle chips were so crispy and delicious... And is it possible to just eat the garlic aioli with the spoon in between dipping the rosemary fries? The sandwiches were amazing and the bacon burger with the jam makes me want to drool. Lockport Brewery is a decent stop for good craft beer. I've been to their original location down the road. This new (ish) location is tucked right up against the golf course and has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. They closed up the patio and brought in heaters, which is where my group sat on Thursday night. It was decently busy but not packed, which was more than fine by me! The drinks never disappoint. I had both the Pale Ale and IPAs brewed in house. Lockport beer is always delicious! The food is nothing to rave about. I had the "Pizzanini" as shown in the photo. My group split the buffalo cauliflower. None of it was bad, but it all felt like something I could have easily made at home without much thought. Their focus is obviously not directed at their food, but you'd expect just a pinch more with a full menu being available. I felt the same way about the service - not bad by any means, but not overtly quick or friendly. We often had to wave our server down to order additional drinks. The wait time for our food was probably around 25-30 minutes. All in all, you will likely have a good time at Lockport, especially if you focus on keeping the drinks coming! read more

Went to watch the Kentucky Derby, get a beer and a burger, and had a great time. Three televisions tuned to the race. I sat at the bar, had a small taste of two beers, (Nitro Stout, a bit too chocolaty) and settled on Lockpuerto Cerveza (a dark lager), served with a wedge of lime. Got a Jammer Burger (delicious with balsamic caramelized onions), served with fab fries. Enjoyed watching the staff rush around on a fairly busy night, exchanging warnings and greetings. Great atmosphere, just the right level of loud. Excellent service. Friendly people who took a few moments to chat. Might go back tomorrow. Highly recommended. A gem. read more

Lockport is a great small brewery. It's one of the few fun things going on around it. They have a good variety on tap. It also has a small food menu. They often have weekly events like trivia. It's located in the town of Bolivar. It's an area with a large Amish population. The brewery is right off of Interstate 77, so it's not hard to get to. It looks like the building is pretty new. They are not a big place, meaning it may get real crowded at times. I had the Fort Laurens Amber. It's about $5 for a pint. This is an amber lager style. It's smooth and not bitter. They have some food too. I had the basket of pretzels. It's about $3 for a basket. This comes with homemade mustard. It's another unexpectedly good small brewery. It has good variety in their brews. Visited this brewery on the advice of a local and she wasn't wrong. They have great beer here and at a good location with an outdoor deck overlooking a golf course. Be aware when you google this place it's to their old location. Bolivar is small enough to where you will easily find the new location pretty much across the street. They have a great selection of tasty craft beer and a good menu selection as well. We had the pretzel and beer cheese which was a great late evening snack. Great new brewery, with a patio on the golf course, ability to see the brewing area and now food! They have relocated from their first location to a remodeled restaurant down the street on the golf course. Big area for bar seating, tables, and lots of windows. They had a wide variety of choices from red ales and porters to IPAs. Although they are still working out the bugs, the staff is friendly the beer is cold and the crowd is very diverse. Hipsters, AvgJoes, and several young at hearts. It is chill but fun. A few TVs, but doesnt dominate the atmosphere. Everything here is brewery - even the restrooms are decorated with kegs. Great stop for a warm up, cool down, or primary stop for the night. Give it a try. read more

When I say service sucked, that's an understatement. We were ignored as other groups came in and received service. Finally ordered food and half our party got their food, we sat as they ate the entire meal and then waiter said our food should be coming. Decent IPA and Pale Ale. Not into German style Bill beers and wheat beers so I have no opinion on those. Tacos were a little disappointing as they were served cold and the tortilla was like pita bread but the pretzel dough sticks with cheese dip was the star of the show. The patio is very nice looking over the golf course and I'm looking forward to coming back to try a happy pail that I know they make at times. We just moved back to Ohio after several years away, the majority of which were in Colorado. We were very spoiled living in CO with so many amazing craft breweries nearby, so coming back to OH we didn't really know what to expect. We decided to try Lockport Brewery last weekend and we were so pleasantly surprised ... who knew there were such good things happening in Bolivar?! The service was great, food was phenomenal (we split a hot chicken and mushroom Swiss burger with their signature rosemary fries), and the beers did not disappoint. I love sours and my husband loves IPAs so this was a perfect place to satisfy both of our palates. I tried the seltzer and felt like it needed a bit more carbonation, but that's about the only thing I couldn't think of that wasn't our favorite. Everything else was fantastic and we will definitely be back with friends! read more

What a shame, this used to be a destination spot for us.. They moved to a new place, and the place isn't great anymore. Too loud, 10 foot wood ceiling, might as well be a bowling alley. The sound just bounces around. I couldn't talk to my wife sitting next to me without shouting. It's too crowded. I watched 4 different groups of people turn around and leave because they have less seating now. 12 people left with an average check of probably at least $15 per person. And poor service. I ordered the chorizo tacos because it said it came with cilantro. There was literally one cilantro leaf, not a sprig, a leaf, like the size of a dime. Would of asked for more cilantro, but we never saw our server again. I didn't see any outdoor seating here. What kind of brewery doesn't have seats outside. read more

Made a trip out to Lockport which is close to Canton and about an hour away from Cleveland. Very clean, industrial atmosphere with a large projection screen for sports and they have a small patio in front to enjoy during the summer. Not a very well known brewery and I only stumbled upon it myself after doing some extensive research, but this place is truly a hidden gem. After the sampling of a flight, I was impressed with the quality of their beer offerings across a range of styles. They had a strawberry ale which was super refreshing, a danky double ipa and a dark, boozy chocolate treat called the Debbie stout. All very tasty. Their menu consists of a bunch of different paninis - I got the grilled cheese panini with bacon, gouda and carmelized onion jam. It had a great balance of salty from bacon and sweet from the jam with enough cheese to complement, but not dominate the other flavors. I will try to make it back here sometime soon! read more

What a great place! My husband and I stopped on the way to stay overnight in Amish country. We really didn't have any idea what to expect but it was a groovy little brewery. They have classic album covers on shelves on one wall and their food and beer are excellent. Also everything is very reasonably priced and we were so excited to find that three of the four TVs had the semi finals of the World Cup on! Lockport is the absolute best. They have the best paninis and chips, and I've never had beer that I love as much as theirs. The selection is ever changing, as they brew with the freshest local ingredients. I generally prefer darker beers and really don't like IPAs, but the Ruckus IPA is probably my favorite beer of life. Finally got in!!!! Tried a few times to eat and drink here but has always been packed ... which says enough on itself. I did a flight of beers which were very good although the Belgian was by far my favorite (caution.. at 9% abc it has a kick). Will be sampling a few more next time but definitely will have the Belgian again. We started off with the garlic rosemary fries with a very good aioli followed by chorizo tacos. Speaking of a kick, tacos had a good one, a bit too bit for my husband but lucky for me because I got 2 out of 3! Finally we had the White Pizza. It was excellent and another favorite we will get again. Probably the most important part of our evening as how friendly and welcoming the staff were.
