Cool doors

They have a nice deli with charcuterie type meats and cheeses. Tastings are only 50 cents each. I tried their petite Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Festival and Blueberry wines. All were awesome but the Festival really stood out !! Pleasant prompt service. Tastings were in small plastic shot glasses.

Got some samples inside for 50 cents each. What a deal!! Then went outside and listened to some live music. Split a bottle of white wine for $13. And got two small pizzas for $9/$10 each. Great day to be out in sunny Ohio!

There's a little gem hidden in the heart of Ohio on the outskirts of Amish country. Breitenbach has something for EVERYONE! They have a wide selection of sweet fruit wines (Raspberry, BlackBerry, Dandelion), a wide variety of both sweeter (Riesling, GewĂĽrztraminer, Chardonnay) and dry (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) traditional varietals. BUT... don't forget the 4barrel Tawny Port or the Solara Cream Sherry!! They offer AFFORDABLE tastings in their main shop, they have a wide selection of meats & cheeses for sandwiches and usually a food truck on the patio where they have live music. Back to the wine: it's affordable and GOOD! I salute their winemaker for doing such an impressive job on ALL of their wines. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area... OR making Breitenbach winery your destination for a day trip! What do I know? I only picked up 18 bottles last month. ;-)

Wine tasting

An adorable gem in the heart of Amish country! Super reasonable rate for tasting, and we enjoyed several of the wines we tried. Cute deck with ambiance if you want to sit to enjoy your bottle of wine. We purchased several bottles we enjoyed. Service was attentive and the young lady at the checkout counter was so sweet and helpful! Don't skip the fruit wines if you think it's just for those of us who like sweet -- the flavor profiles on some of them are amazing!

25 cent samples, try as many as you like

We had a great experience doing a wine tasting here. Samples are a quarter each and there's basically no limit. They are small. Enough to get an idea of the taste without really having to be invested in the selections you are making. You can try just about all of the wines. The only problem was, I just didn't care much for the wines. You also aren't allowed to eat in the tasting area. I get that it would probably be messy, since they aren't really cleaning the tables between guests. But it gets hard to distinguish all those flavors when you can't cleanse your palette. I'm not sure if that is the reason I didn't like the wines or not. They also have a lot of wine-related gifts and snacks you can buy.

This is such a cool winery in Amish Country! With a wine shop and an awesome tasting barn, there's tons to do and a perfect place for a date or a group! Service was quick and everyone was so kind.

Tastings are very small and unfortunately you can only get 4 -- ¢25 each. The place seems like it'd be a better fit to visit in the warm months rather than the cold ones.

Live music and BBQ on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Free wine tour, 4 samples for $1, $12 bottles of wine and a property to explore. The wine slushies were probably our favorite though!

Cute little winery off the beaten path. Wine was good sweet but not all of them. Clean restaurant good selection of wines.

Afternoon wine, food and music.

My wife and I took a day trip for some wine and music. This place never disappoints. They make great wine and have such a beautiful winery and venue. The food is good also. Especially the pizza. We met some wonderful people while sitting on the patio listening to love music and enjoying some wine. Later in the evening we went to their other venue up by the vineyard and enjoyed more music, wine and sunset. They often have live music, tastings and also offer private venue events in one of their many structures on the property. There is even a amphitheater. Great place in the heart of Amish country. A must visit.

We went November 2019 and had a blast! We did the tasting and the tour. We ended up going home with two bottles a piece

Breitenbach Wine Cellars

Breitenbach Wine Cellars is situated north of Columbus in the rolling Hills of Amish Country. It is first and foremost a winery, but is also an Amish Country store, cafe and bed & breakfast inn. They make their own wine (some award-winning) on site, including, blush, red, white and fruit wines. The retail shop is expansive, carrying a great selection of holiday gift boxes and wine accessories, as well as a variety of Amish cheeses, meats, local produce, and specialty food items, including one of my favorites- Stonewall Kitchens. Summertime brings an outdoor "back porch" BBQ on weekends. Breitenbach is well-known for its weekend long Dandelion Festival and wine, of which I'm not a fan of, but the festival is fun. It takes place in early May and includes musical entertainment, cooking competitions and of course, dandelion wine. I give Breitenbach Wine Cellars four stars primarily for the experience and not so much the wine, which really isn't all that bad. The setting of this Amish country store & winery is absolutely beautiful and well worth the drive- especially on a balmy summer day. Once a year, we really enjoy going to Bretienbach to grab a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers and just park ourselves on the porch to admire the scenery.

First I want to thank Cork and Tap Excursions for posting this on their Instagram page. I had never…read moreheard of this place. It had opened in Labor Day of 2021. Arrived and they have lots of parking outside. Inside the place has two levels. We didn't adventure to the top but remained on the first floor. They have a wonderful 17 year old dog that will come up and sit by you. She is very friendly. We tried some wine. They're limited on dry wines. They had several dry wines, maybe more than I assumed that they would have. I did like the dry wine made in a bourbon barrel. It had a wonderful taste. I did sample some of the sweeter wines. The Peanut and Butter wine was sensational. The woman that helped wait on us said guys come in here and say I drink dry wines. They all walk out with the "thingamajigga" peanut butter and jelly wine. I fell into the same trap. That great. We enjoyed two glasses of wine and had some small bites. This is a cute location. They have amazing wood work inside the place. The interesting thing is that we were at Terra Cotta Vineyard and winery earlier that day. The owner said the owner of this winery was a wood worker. He had did amazing work for them. It shows with his winery. Highly recommend visiting this place. How could I forget the nachos were the best we've had anywhere.. hands down amazing..

Gotta say, the website was much more impressive than the actual place. This wasn't too far of a drive from Dresden Inn but coming back, we got turned around because of the lack of lights, signage and skinny roads. They have plenty of parking and the string of lights outside was cute. I asked the waitress TWO times whether the sweet potato fries for the sandwich entree was extra and she confirmed TWICE that it was not an extra cost. Welp, upon paying, guess what? It was $4 extra! Just look at my picture to see that like 12 skinny AF fries are NOT worth the extra charge! Their house chips were great. I ordered the brie & jam sandwich and it was filling and delicious. I also ordered a crispy chicken salad and was pretty disappointed at the quality. I abhor cheese shavings on salad (they don't belong on salads!) and there was just mounds of very processed looking cheese. There was not enough chicken pieces for the price, too many croutons, no onion or enough tomato; just cheap lettuce. They don't serve regular glasses of water here. It was all crushed ice! We suspected they were just pre-wine slushies! This was really odd. There's not real wait service but since we sat upstairs, people needed to bring stuff up so I did tip a usual amount. I wanted to experience more of a country, made from scratch type of setting so was not too happy with the very Chilis/Applebee quality and presentation of their food.

For those who need a wheelchair entrance- they had one setup in the front. The portions of food are generous! The staff is super kind. And, it has a very intimate vibe to it. There were musicians playing in the entryway when we stopped in. The cheese board and wine could have filled me up by itself. But, I also ordered a flatbread. I was amazed when 2 generously sized flatbreads came out. 10/10, definitely recommend.

They have a large selection of house wines as well as other brands. The server was kind but didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine. All the dishes are enormous and meant to be shared. We shared the goat cheese with blackberry preserves and a Genoa flatbread and even with the three of us, we had a lot to take home with us. The duo and the flatbread were both incredible. The flatbread is actually two whole flatbreads and the dip was the size of a dinner plate. They were kind to get us an extra loaf of bread to go with the dip because we ran out. Their kitchen closed at 8 even though they were open until 9. That was about annoying because we considered ordering an additional dish but worked out fine since the dishes were so large.

Casella Winery is a hidden gem in the woods that is worth the trek!…read more I came here with a group of friends a couple of weekends ago. The women working the counter were polite and helpful. They let us taste a few before making selections. If you order a wine flight... be prepared to drink! It came with four different wines and each one amounted to about two glasses of wine! Would highly recommend sharing the flight with others (I did not ) Most of the wine is on the sweeter side. The Labrusco is especially delicious. We ordered a pizza later on in the evening. It hit the spot but wasn't anything too fancy. Just your typical homemade pizza. We went at night but the outside appeared to be beautiful. The inside is quirky with a lot of different seating options and a wide variety of decor. They had live music which was VERY good. It was pretty hard to hear each other but I assume they were inside only because of the rain. There is also a stage outside. Either way the men singing were fantastic.

Chardonnay Peach and it tasted amazing. I liked the Red Zinfandel as my favorite red wine. We both had a glass and purchased a bottle to go. The winery in the back was impressively nice. It was a bit cooler, no sun, you needed a jacket. The setup is nice with the stage. We didn't stay long enough to hear the ban play, which I heard was amazing. The place was awesome, they had food, beer as well. Many options for anyone. Hidden gem in the woods..
