On our wine tasting trip along the Three Rivers Wine Trail we stopped at Baltic Mill. Housed in a old mill building it has a distinctive and interesting tasting room, the staff was wonderful and friendly, guiding us through the nice selection available. We tasted a flight of our choices and taking advantage of the appetizers offered, tried the pepper jelly coated hummus with vegetables ( carrots, peppers and broccoli)) it was delicious. I enjoyed some of their wines- the daisy was my favorite. It was light and not to sweet.I didn't care for the strawberry that tasted too artificial for my liking. The meat and cheese board was generous, with a mustard that was to die for! The aged cheddar was my favorite cheese. The staff was super helpful and answered all my questions with a smile. We came to the winery after eating at the restaurant across the street. They have mostly local wine which I find to be too sweet but they did order some dry reds including a blend and Italian wine that we liked. Again, this is a must visit because of the atmosphere and good folks. read more

This is really a cool spot. It is out of the way of the "Amish Country". So, they are very serious about their COVID procedures, which honestly made me feel more at ease. They did have outdoor seating with live music when we were there. We opted to sit inside as there was not much room outside. In that time, we were properly distanced as we tried their delicious wine (including a wine slushie). I did hear them ask someone to put a mask on who did not have one on. I also saw them constantly disinfecting touched areas. Again, this made me feel like I could relax after spending time at other areas that weren't as careful. I enjoyed that you could still see the remnants of the flour mill (this was a renovated building). The wine itself was fantastic. I liked the sweet wines and felt they still had a unique flavor. I think it was the perfect rest point to talk and enjoy time with your husband or friends. read more

The winery itself is in a beautiful historic building. Their tasting experience was great. A flight of 4 larger tastes for $9. Also, their COVID precautions were excellent. Distanced seating inside and out, and they absolutely REQUIRED masks to enter. Once you were seated and drinking, you could unmask. I felt safe - and that's saying a lot because I have not been willing to go inside many places since March! I bought a couple of bottles and cider as well! This place was amazingly nice. The guy that waited on us was very courteous and helpful with the wines. Tastings were 50 cents each. They had 9 wines to choose from. The dry whites ( Sauv Blanc, Pinot Grigio ) were very good. The reds blend 111 ( after the address of Baltic Mill Winery ), and Rosso Del Baltico was good. I ended with a blackberry which was great. We ended up with a 111, and 2 whites, and a just peachy. This place was an old flour business where flour was made. We toured the upstairs, and you can tour the basement as well. 5 STARS It's truly one of a kind and one of the most Unique wineries I have ever been to. So my mom and I traveled to 4 different wineries around this area today. Out of the 4 other, Baltic Mill Winery is hands down the best overall experience we had. To start with it's a very cool environment that is meant to be explored and thoroughly enjoyed. It's an OLLLLD brick building that was once a grain mill and still has the old equipment inside. The place is WELL WORTH going out of your way for. I mean come on--it's ridiculously well kept, clean, and beautifully decorated with little lights and little accents everywhere. A very welcoming and warm environment that you'll adore and want to invite your friends back to. One of the things that blew my mind is that the manager, Mitch, remembered my mom from a much earlier experience. It may sound like a small thing but it wasn't. It shows good service, and a personal touch to attentiveness which is commonly lost in this day and age. Finally THE WINE! I know, Save the best for last. I'm a sucker for Sweet wines. The current selection is outstanding. "Rowville Red" is a 5 star sweet with a wonderful Concord Grape flavor. It would pair well with just about anything. It would be great for an after dinner drink but I wouldn't call it a dessert wine. Then we tried "Just Peachy" which is a wine perfect for Spring/Summer time. Great for sipping or sitting on the back porch with a glass while talking to friends. Finally, my other favorite is the "Strawberry Blonde" which (I'm not usually a fan of Strawberry wines) but this one is not to be missed. My wife & I came across this place after dining across the street at Miller's Amish Kitch'n. Nice old building (sure it's the old mill) very good condition and oh so charming inside. Very cool décor. It was nice to see the place was busy. The owner greeted us and was helpful in us choosing a wine. The couple in front of us suggested the Rowville Red, and that was our ultimate choice. This winery is really unique. It is an actual old Mill that was a working Mill for generations. It is fun just to enter and walk around exploring the different floors and areas. The owners are hands on and so friendly and working hard to speak with guests and tell about the Mill and their wines. We have a favorite wine here though all are very good. Our favorite is the Concord Grape wine. The grapes for this wine are from the Western New York Area. It is worth the trip all by itself. We highly recommend this out of the way Winery. This place is beautiful. From the outside it doesn't look so hot, the building is over a 100 years old. The owner/winemaker was there and we did our tasting with him. It's always so nice to talk with the maker. We got to wander around in the old mill with a glass of wine. The old beams, shoots and mill equipment was interesting to look at. Oh my goodness, my new favorite winery on the planet--Baltic Mill Winery, located in the heart of Amish Country! Owner Dan and his son Mitch greeted us. We have been excitedly awaiting the opening of this place. Dan is a microbiologist and all of their signature wines are made right here! The Rowville Red, named for The town's former moniker, is my new fave wine--a Concord Sweet red. Their Dry red Rosso del Baltico has such varied subtle flavor a--fruity and rich. Wow! And our moscato for New Years Eve will be Little Daisy named for the flour brand which used to be ground here at the mill. ;). Warm and inviting decor, roomy and cozy areas for tastings or an intimate evening with friends, rooms for parties of varying sizes. This was such a wonderful spot to stumble upon! My husband and I were in Amish country over easter weekend for a little getaway and were doing a bit of exploring on Saturday. I am SO GLAD we found the Baltic Mill Winery. The owners have beautifully turned this former flour mill into a winery, and the selection is wonderful. You can even explore the upper floors of the mill, which still have the old equipment. I was thinking that it would make for some pretty cool location portrait photography. Everyone was very friendly and the wines were delicious. Our favorite was the Pinot Grigio, but we ended up buying a variety of different bottles before we left. Went for a friend's birthday, early afternoon. The workers were super friendly, knowledgeable, and available for questions. The sweet wines were amazing, especially the peach, blackberry, and Rossville Red. Went home with 4 bottles to enjoy later. Not a lot of seating in the main room, could have used a bit more ambiance in the adjoining seating areas, compirable to the main room.
