The food is great and it has a good atmosphere. Plenty of room especially in the summer outside. The wait staff is exceptional; Quick, attentive and friendly. The wine is good, a little on the high side, and they have beer for the non wine drinkers. They also have a nice little farmers market and lots of events.

Went here to try some wine and food for dinner. We saw the menu and the prices seemed good so we thought we try. We are a sweet wine group. So we went right for the fruit wines. We got the red raspberry and the apple pie. The red raspberry is good. Does have a slight dryness to it but really tastes like raspberries. The apple smelled amazing lots of apple and cinnamon going on but the taste was just ok. Smelled better. We got some food too. The Tuscan chicken and a pepperoni pizza. Again. I got the pizza and it was just ok. Big enough for 1 person. The Tuscan chicken was good according to the 2 people who had it. Place was crowded. COVID friendly. Probably better in the summer. I'd try it again. Try something different.

We came here on a date day. It was a surprise. I really like their ordering system and would be nice if more businesses used that model. You put up a little sign on your table when you want something and someone helps you. We ordered two flights to sample. At first I thought the $14 was a bit much but they were actually 2 ounce pores of four different wines which was a lot of wine to drink. We each got four so we could try eight different wines. I liked a lot of them. I went home with mad cow and hanky-panky.

The service was subpar, they'd respond to the pink paper signifying needing assistance only sometimes...my burger was so bloody it soaked the bun, waitress reply well sometimes that happens, I had asked for it well done...I asked 3 times for water it over all is just a shit show on farm land wine was good but truly u can also get wine up the street at the nicer place....

We came in for a wine tasting. Very informative event. Knowledgeable on the history of the facility and especially the origin of the wines we tasted. We were able to pick six wines. So each couple made a selection and when it was our wine to taste you were the one that did the toast!! We had three reds and three whites. There was quite the selection to choose from so it wasn't easy. We each really liked our selection. All of our tastes were different. Very casual place. They had a seasonal menu as well as a standard. We enjoyed the wine with cheese and crackers then finished with a sandwich. There was a deli and a store area. They had quite the collection of wine signs. We couldn't help ourselves so each couple posed in our group shot with their favorite sign.

We stopped by Maize Valley for lunch and to try out their beers. Well, when you walk in, it's a country shop type of feel with a bar. You can buy things in the store and also have a beer at the bar. Unfortunately we couldn't do that due to COVID but next time! We sat on the covered patio and it was beautiful! We enjoyed looking at the goats up on the hill and the farm. They have lavender fields but they weren't nearby the brewery/winery. We started out with a flight of beers and they were all delicious! With so many different options to choose from the flight was our best bet! We also enjoyed some yummy food! I would say that the food was good but not the best value. We will definitely be back! Edit: We came to their fall fest and it was awesome! So much fun for the kids! The pumpkin shooter was crazy awesome! Adults can enjoy either wine or beer while their kids have fun nearby! There is a giant maize which was fun for the whole family too! We will definitely be back next year!

Beautiful setting here. The angus burger was good, but the toppings and dressings were all under the burger which resulted in a soggy bun pretty quickly. Monk in public was definitely the strongest of the beers, although the bom tasted like an elevated blue moon with mango. The mac salad is pretty blah.

This is a long overdue review, but this is by far one of the most beautiful breweries I've ever been too. Technically they're more of a winery but since I do not have a taste for fermented grapes, beer is much more up my alley. We came here on Labor Day weekend as I was staying with my boyfriend and we were looking for a nice road trip destination but something that wasn't too far from home. I noticed their Facebook page and started following it and I knew I had to get there for myself. It was packed when we arrived but luckily we saw a car pull out and we got a spot right up front. There was a bit of a line out the door, but it only took 15-20 mins for us to get seated. Not only did they have a charming front patio, but they have a lot of space in the back of the building. The patio back there overlooks their gorgeous land and they had the garage doors open with lots of open air seating inside too. I felt very comfortable here as the tables were so far distanced and everyone walking around was wearing masks. We had a beer flight and it was so nice! We got a good variety to try and my favorite ended up being a cider infused with lavender. You heard that right! They have their own lavender and sunflower fields on the property that you can pay a small admission fee to go and walk through. Pretty awesome! We wanted a small appetizer to share and we decided on the bruschetta. Our server misunderstood us and brought out the bruschetta pizza instead but that was not a "mistake" in our book as it was absolutely delightful! After eating, we walked around the land. There's a nice path leading up the hill to a fenced in area full of goats! They were super cute and kept coming up to the fence. I think you can purchase cups of food for them if you so wish. It was still more summer than fall when we were here, but I bet it's even more lovely in October. I had no idea they have been around for 20 years, this was something I just discovered this year. But it was a great find and I'm sure I'll be back soon!

    Is this a casual place?

Yes it is...small and quaint. Can get noisy with a lot of people - acoustics not that great - but nice place to hang out and taste some of their wines ?

But as I recall there were a ton of bee's that day and we were battling them. We left because we didn't want to battle the bee's but the wine was ok. This time we came on a freezing cold January day. Walked in and they have a food truck set up. Kinda inside undercover but they are cooking away. Smelled amazing. We did order. We got this loaded potato soup. $7.50 and it was delish. We asked to get it hotter because it was freezing cold and the soup was just like warm. But they heated it up. We got the blueberry sangria which was pretty good. We got a picture and relaxed with our soup. We had to hang out in the main building because it was too cold in the other rooms. We stayed for about an hour. Everyone was nice. It was a cold winters day around 10 degrees so warm was a priority. It was a good stop.

We called to find if there was availability and due to the weather there was a lighter crowd than normal. We drove down from the Cleveland Clinic at 5:15pm. Pulling into the parking lot the winery is in a residential area and grapevines surround the place. Nicely landscaped and designed facility. Inside the atmosphere is what you Would expect if visiting a winery. Smaller tables, wine racks, soft sofas, and a big bar. Really nice. We drink reds, so Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot were ordered as they rated high/the best in California's latest wine competition. Young wines (less than 3 years) but good. The Pinot Noir was outstanding. Dinners are shared (I learned that) so order with that in mind. We had 1/2 loaf of bread, Vineyard Salad (excellent house dressing) and it was crisp, and Spaghetti Bolognese. All was prepared and presented very well. I'd order again. General Mgr Pete was personable and a wealth of information. Sun his graciousness, he offered a quick tour (and as a home winemaker myself) this was a treat. The production area was clean, limited in space, and organized. A barrel room is always a treat to visit and MA's is climate and humidity controlled. And of course smells fantastic. A great visit! And a return trip is planned soon. Oh crud, visit the bakery! Delicious and a must for chocolate lovers. And non-chocolate lovers too.
