Wine flight and cider flight
Leslie A.

Everything was good and had a fresh taste I had a cider flight - sunnydale, brambleberry, GPS and Muller Cranberry. I thought the peach would be my favorite but it wasn't, the mulled cranberry was My husband had a wine flight - Chardonel, Bent White, Bent Rose, Noiret. He said the Rose was a stand out. It was very clean tasting We also ordered both food boards - the bread and the cheese. This is the ONLY food they have here

If I died and I went to heaven, the Bent Ladder is exactly what I picture it would look like. This place is possibly the greatest place I may have ever been too. I came here from Chicago on a weekend getaway. It may seem like you're in the middle of nowhere but rest assured, there's a sign that'll tell you you're at the right place. The weekend had beautiful acoustic music. The outdoor seating which introduces you to the most marvelous scenery I may have ever seen mixed with the ambience of nature and even the passing train is all too captivating. Inside, the place is really clean, the staff is friendly , the guests here are outstanding. All of the Ciders are worth trying. This place has a small food menu but that's the least of my issues. Prices aren't bad but this place has brought me to tears of joy and I'll do anything to come back here again!

What a cool and beautiful place to relax and have some wine or cider. My wife and I each got a flight of ciders and they were great. I highly recommend the Fencerow, that is if you are a root beer fan. The Whoa Nellie is also great. We kinda had the place to ourselves a bit bc we came early on a Saturday. The staff are great and the view is quite relaxing.

Beautiful scenery! We enjoyed our flights outdoor in the picnic table area. Plenty of room to remain very socially distanced. Wine descriptions were accurate. Cider descriptions spot on. All depends on your taste buds. We also went to their market and couldn't pass up a ginormous taffy apple, apple butter and honey crisp apples. Looked like they had pear trees as well. Pumpkin patch was open today and only .40 cents per pound. Got the perfect pumpkins for my front door area.

Such a quaint place with the most beautiful views of their vineyard. We sat down on their Adirondack chairs with a cheeseboard and a glass of wine on a gray drizzly rain day and it was perfect. We had our little dog on a leash with us and they were ok about it.

Stopped in here because we were going to the orchard at the same location. The cider was pretty good and different from most that I have had. The scenery was fantastic. The only downside is they don't have food which is always a minus for me. In my opinion if you sell alcohol you should sell food. That being said for a quick stop or just wanting to sit outside and drink the atmosphere is fantastic.

First time here. Nice view and outdoor seating. It has an upstairs that really shows off the view. Tried some of their wine . Beautiful pictures on the walls and there was small ones that you could buy

Ended up at Bent Ladder Cider and Winery not far from the house. Every time we drive by the sign I say "hey let's check that out sometime" Such a cute little place to enjoy wine/cider tasting outdoors where it is so peaceful. We tried 2 wines/2 ciders.... Bent White~Pineapple, apricot and subtle notes of spice Moonrise White~White grape, pineapple and guava Peachberry~ Ripe peach, juicy red fruit Queen Bee~A blend of apples, strawberries, honey, hibiscus blossoms, and lemon zest.

Beautiful views!

This place was so cool and had great cider to boot! They also have wine but I was sticking to cider at this visit. Hopefully we will be back so I can try the wine, too! The tasting room is really nice with large windows overlooking the beautiful grounds. It was gorgeous out the day we visited so we chose to sit outside at their picnic tables. The views are awesome with several ponds down from the hill the place is perched on. They don't have a full kitchen but do have some meat and cheese trays available. We picked up a pizza on our way there since we were stopping around lunch time. They informed us we weren't able to have outside food inside the tap room but could enjoy it outside. No problem for me as I wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather anyway! We later found out they request this because of the smell of the food interfering with people's tasting experiences. (In case you were curious- I know I would be.) In the warmer months (starting after Memorial Day, I believe), they have live music and food trucks outside every Friday and Saturday night. I wish we lived closer because this would be my spot if we did!! Okay, on to the cider. They have 8 different ciders. You can get a flight of 4, so my bf and I decided to each get a flight so we could get all 8 to try. I favored the sweater ones. Although I wouldn't say they are extremely sweet, probably more semi-sweet. They were all pretty good though and made it hard to decide which one I wanted as a full drink! Hopefully we will be stopping back here again on our next trip up that way!

Awesome view on the hill, with a cute patio. They have food trucks come in on the weekends. The one that was there was fantastic, they even had a veggie salad (pictured) made with vegetables all from the farm there. Twelve different ciders made for a fun few rounds. They had Very unique flavors along with classics. Wasn't a fan of their wines, but I was there for the cider and that definitely delivered. The more unique flavors had the group split, some people loved them and others didn't, either way it was a great experience.

Excellent ciders! The dry ciders are the best ones to try. The wines have come a long way too. The two Chardonelle wines are probably the best. Beautiful location in the country with picturesque views of ponds and farmland. They also have snacks like bread and Oil and charcuterie. Live music and food trucks on most Fridays or Saturdays. Love this place!!

Bent Ladder Tasting Room at Rittman Orchards.

My husband scheduled a "mysterious" date with me on a Saturday in June. His directive? "Be ready to go at 4:30!" I am a female, thus I require more information... "Should I dress up?" "How dressy?" "Will we be outside?" (This question is imperative in our relationship since God only knows where I'll end up.) "Do I need to bring a jacket?" (The last question just reinforced the previous question which might have helped my husband mentally negotiate whether or not I would be cold at some point and whether or not I would be sitting in our vehicle during a portion of the evening). He took me to Rittman Orchards, more specifically, the Bent Ladder Tasting Room. Holy cow!!! I was struck by the beauty of the grounds! My immediate thought was that I was spending the afternoon on a ladder picking apples (and baking pies all day on Sunday.) We were there for a cider tasting! I love wine and wineries so I was a bit pensive at first. I had no need to be... the cider at Bent Ladder is nothing like store-bought hard cider. Their cider is like a lightly carbonated wine. The layers of flavors are amazing and we tasted ALL of them! My favorite was "Ginger" which was white and clear (much like a sauvignon blanc) but the flavor was like a Greek wine called Retsina (imagine pine sap and apples). We brought a howler home with us!! Smoke, juicy fruit, tangy apples - we loved all of the samples we tasted. There is truly something for everyone here... The interior is rustic but feminine - accented by stainless steel touches. A glass-windowed cathedral ceiling brings the valley below into view for patrons who choose to sit inside. Framed photographs of the vineyards/orchards taken during all four seasons grace the walls of the tasting room. Pillowy snow-covered aisles remind me that it is summer for a short time. It was a beautiful Saturday evening so we wandered the grounds during sunset. We sat outside for a while with our cider overlooking the lake and listened to a musician who sounded like Joni Mitchell. Bent Ladder will be offering wine tastings soon! It is safe to say that we will be back!

Beautiful views, amazing ciders and wines, fantastic cheese plate!

Although they've been here for only a short while, they currently craft their wines at @lincolnwayvineyards --a place we love and have missed visiting. I absolutely loved the "Satisfaction" red wine. It's a dry, oaked wine with aromas of dark fruit, made from French-American hybrid DeChaunac grapes originating from New York, and it boasts a 13.1% ABV. Another standout was the "After Midnight," which reminds me of a saying my parents used when I wanted to extend my curfew in high school: "Nothing good happens after midnight." This wine is the exception. It's a semi-dry, floral aromatic wine, also originating from New York, on the sweeter side with a 2.5% residual sugar and a 12.3% ABV. Overall, the staff was awesome, the wine was excellent, and the space was inviting. Can't wait to revisit. Cheers!

With that being said Filia is a fantastic place to sit and drink wines in a unique and beautiful atmosphere. The building itself is an old Victorian house with several rooms to sit and enjoy wine. If you visit in the summer they have a barn where there is live music and tables set up outside around a fire pit. The wines are really good. I am not a dry red girl myself but found myself enjoying the dry reds. They do have some grapes out front and when we went to check them out the owner offered us some to taste. They were amazing. We got the 10oz samplers and they come in a handy carrier so we could get them to where we were going safely. The only thing I could say I didn't care for at Filia is the pricing of certain items. They do have a cheese tray, with an option of chocolate. You pay $10+ for a plate stacked with a sleeve of crackers, a block of Kraft cheese and a chocolate bar that they pull out of a jar on the bar. There is no beautiful or delicious looking presentation, which I think should come with the price. Otherwise I will just take the wine home and purchase some cheese on the way. If you enjoy wine I would suggest you try this beautiful place out!

Unfortunately our party was not able to enjoy the Tasting Experience. The group was traveling through the snowstorm from Cleveland and admittingly were late. We acknowledge that. However, the person told us that perhaps we could use the tickets tomorrow(we appreciated his offer, but we have things already scheduled so we won't be able to go. I called this morning to inquire about additional days/times when our group might be able to return to use the tickets since it was a purchase of $250. Perhaps a credit or a gift card. Essentially this is what he offered last night. However, the young lady who answered the phone today simply read me their no-return policy. Of course, I read that policy when I purchased the tickets and understood it perfectly. However, due to the weather and a group of eight 70 year old women trying to get from Cleveland to Canton to celebrate, I would have thought the establishment would have been more customer friendly and at least provided a reasonable solution. They left Cleveland at 3:30 pm for a 6:30 pm reservation and were still late. That speaks to the weather and traffic. Since Gervasi/Cave it prides itself on its customer service, I expected more from them. I was not asking for a refund at all, just a way to use the month that I have already paid to this winery. The group did fine at the Crush House which was fine, however, due to the poor customer service and lack of compassion, I do not recommend. When I grew up in NE Ohio, every establishment always understood that horrible weather and went out of their way to try to accommodate people delayed because of it. I will be posting this review on all platforms available.
