Upon entering the door to the winery, you will find yourself in a stairwell with stairs going down to the basement. Once you're in the basement you will immediately forget you are in a basement. It is quite a spacious and comfortable area with lots of tables and couches, a fireplace, a bar, and a bathroom. There's even a section where they make the wine in steel barrels. It's very cozy, charming, friendly and clean. The host/owners are extremely friendly. It seems that the owner's family is from Northern Italy and we enjoyed talking to them. The Wine itself far exceeded my expectations. We tasted three reds plus the Chardonnay, and we enjoyed all of it. The blueprint red blend was my favorite followed by the Chardonnay. I'm a bit of a Wine snob and I typically don't like Ohio wine. However, I was pleasantly surprised...okay...if we're being honest...actually shocked...that all the wine we tasted was excellent. We went today to pick out some pumpkins and the selection was enormous. So many varieties and Paul took the time to explain that some of them are not only used for decoration, but are also used for baking and eating. Excited to try some recipes ! Paul and Brenda are such wonderful people. We look forward to each visit and are so lucky to live a mile away. We would drive an hour without hesitation to get to them if we had to.

It never seemed crowded or too much. Inside looks nice. So if it rains or in the winter it will be nice to sit inside. You can open a tab or pay as you go. Prices aren't bad for a glass or a bottle. Glasses are in the $7 range or so and bottles in the $23 range. It's a nice fun atmosphere to sit and listen to music for awhile or just grab a glass and head out afterwards. Most of our group chose 4-6 wines to try so our table looked a bit crazy with all the glasses. The one downside was that the employee who helped us was relatively new and had us do our tastings from sweet to dry, instead of dry to sweet. She did say that she was trained this way but it threw me off. Luckily, the owner came in and we were able to ask some questions. When I questioned the thought process of going from sweet to dry - he quickly corrected our remaining samples and made a note to do some retraining. I enjoyed that this was a family owned winery. Even the kids were studying subjects in college to allow them to be part of the business as well. I loved the theme of time. Our group ended up leaving with several bottles and I would definitely recommend this winery to others.
