One sweet, which I don't care for sweet wines, the second, which I chose was lacking flavor. No body to the wine. Very disappointing. My wife tried 2 whites, she didn't care for either. They did not have a chardonnay or anything close. The traditional cheese tray was obviously pre- cubed cheeses, some plain soda crackers and a half a peach. I asked about getting a half order or the "gourmet " cheese tray but the server said they don't offer it because everything is pre-proportioned, which leads me to believe it's from Costco or the like. All in all pretty disappointing. Ww love stopping at wineries but unless friends want to go, ill avoid this one. We have frequented the orchard store for decades but even that has gotten so expensive we have cut back.

With a vineyard, fruit tree orchard, full kitchen, gift shop and the most excellent donut truck, this place rocks! The main attraction is a beautifully decorated chalet. Did a flight of every wine they had. Ended up loving three of them, including the Chardonnay, Bourbon Barrel Aged Apple wine, and the Pinnacle Rrd. Got a bottle of Chardonnay for the table and took the other two home. Service was crazy good. Brooke was attentive, quick, and had the nicest smile you've ever seen. She should be on the silver screen! Super friendly, the manager, I think her name was Emily, sat down at our table and exquisitely described each wine while we sampled the precious nectars. The owner also stopped by and explained how he's the third generation of Scottish immigrants growing up on the land we sit on, where his great great grandfather planted the pear trees still producing fruit today. Seeing that this was Mother's Day, they went over the top with a free bouquet of flowers for the moms in our family. Tried the donuts and thought I was going to heaven. Can't wait to stumble across this place again!

They only have a few sweet wines the sweetest being the red dolce. It's fruity and sweet. We like it. They have semi sweet and dry as well. They have a porch/patio and inside are some chairs and tables. They also have a loft area. That's where we went. The place was hoping around 1p on a Sunday when we went. A book club was there and several couples. They also had a coffee tasting from a local grower. The smell of fresh coffee was very overwhelming so we had to try. The service is good. Staff is nice. Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. Use that blue light to attract them or something. If you want people to sit and drink. Make it easy. Flies are not making it easy. We will go back. But I'll call to make sure flies are gone.

Tucked away in a wooded setting near the Lake Erie shore, Paper Moon has a really cozy, laid-back atmosphere. The indoor tasting area is comfortable and inviting, with board games available to play, and there's plenty of outdoor seating throughout the grass, along with a covered outdoor dining area. It's a great place to relax and spend a leisurely afternoon with friends. It's a casual, counter-service setup. You order your food at the counter/bar area, you're given a buzzer, and then you pick up your food at the counter when it's ready. I ordered the Blackberry Sangria Slush, which was refreshing and perfect for a summer day. For lunch, I had the Hot Italian Panini with chips and a pickle spear. It was tasty and had good flavor, although the panini was a little on the thin side and I would have preferred it to be a bit more substantial. Overall, Paper Moon was a fun stop during our girls' day. I really enjoyed the peaceful, wooded setting and casual atmosphere. It's a great spot to grab a drink, enjoy some food, play a game, and relax with friends.

Das Weinhaus normally has lots of live music (such as guitar players) so that's fun. The view of the water (pond?) is nice outside on a warm summer day. I didn't try any of their food but they offer some food and they are known for their alcoholic drinks (wine, beer, etc). I don' t drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings. They were nice in allowing us to bring our own snacks and cake while on their patio to celebrate my friend John's birthday. If you live in the area then go and visit Das Weinhaus. It appears to be a local favourite spot. The area is very remote (like the country) as evident from my drive there from Cleveland. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 107/250 total reviews in 2026 - 948 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 28 May 2026

The outdoor patio is great for COVID dinning. Make sure make a reservation. Often have live music on the weekends. Keep in mind they are closed during the winter. Food - Chef Jamie is highly skilled. Never had anything that has not been good. Highly recommend any of the daily specials. They also have seasonal specials. This trip we had the olive and tomato bruschetta and the salmon special. Wine - best local wine in the region. Keep in mind the wines are mostly on the dry side. Jamie also hand selects imports from around the world. They also sell beer and other drinks. The bruschetta was a great mix of texture and flair. Sweet tomatoes, perfectly grilled baguette, salty olives, and savory blue cheese. Amazing. The salmon was very good. It had brussel sprouts cooked in an Apple compote. Very nice contrast of sweet and savory. Fish was perfectly cooked. Only negative was the potatoes were slightly over cooked. Pro Tip - ask for Julie. The best server.
