My complaint is getting charged for five nights when I only stayed for three. I had made an original reservation for five nights, but my plans changed and I only needed three. I called in advance to let them know of this, but they said that since the reservation was for five nights, they had to charge for five nights. I maybe could understand if it was a big holiday weekend or even a weekend for that matter, but it was during the week and the place was deserted. Just remember when you make a reservation here you are getting charged for it! Total rip off!

My gut feeling was that these are good people & despite my not knowing much about limo services, they'd do right by us. They absolutely did. As MOB, I didn't ride along, but I was told JVS did a fantastic job & was very professional & thorough. They also showed up on time for end-of-event shuttles and handled that perfectly as well. We stayed at River Dog with another couple while visiting friends in the area, and only after…read morearriving did we realize that this was far more than a reservation--it was an experience. River Dog Retreat is not simply a B&B or a place to rest your head; it's a destination in its own right. The cottage is cozy and well-appointed, with all the comforts you'd expect in a retreat--an efficient kitchen, strong water pressure, dependable climate control, and furnishings that perfectly complement the calm, artistic atmosphere. What elevates the space, however, are the handmade works of art created by Deb and Terry, which add a sense of character and soul that you won't find elsewhere. The heart of River Dog, though, lies beyond the accommodations. The main lodge is expansive and filled with their extraordinary artwork, each piece crafted with intention and artistry. And then there's the music--intimate concerts featuring exceptional talent that River Dog has become known for. Their website provides a glimpse of the caliber of musicians they host, but experiencing it in person is something special. And none of this would be the same without Deb and Terry themselves. They are the kind of hosts who make you feel as if you've come home. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, they are the threads that weave the entire River Dog experience together. I've traveled extensively around the world, and I've never encountered anything quite like River Dog. I suspect you'll feel the same after a stay here.

This review pertains to the Riverdog as a Concert Venue rather than as a Bed and Breakfast…read more The Riverdog hosts periodic small concerts by musical acts hand-picked by the venue owners, mainly in the genres of Americana and roots music. Winter concerts are smaller, limited to 90 seats in the gallery; summer concerts are held in the barn, with an attendance limit of about 150. Ticket prices are $15 for all shows and RSVP's via email are first-come-first-serve. Before the show, you can come early, order a wood-fired pizza, and relax in the lounge. During intermission, light refreshments are graciously provided by the hosts and alcoholic beverages are BYOB. This cozy, welcoming, quirky venue is one of the most pleasant and unique concert-going experiences I have ever had and I will jump at the chance to return!
