Recently stayed here because its location is close to where I had work in the area. It is a very spacious park, lots of activities, fishing lake, playground, game room, horseshoe pit, and lots more. Everything seemed well-maintained. My complaint is getting charged for five nights when I only stayed for three. I had made an original reservation for five nights, but my plans changed and I only needed three. I called in advance to let them know of this, but they said that since the reservation was for five nights, they had to charge for five nights. I maybe could understand if it was a big holiday weekend or even a weekend for that matter, but it was during the week and the place was deserted. Just remember when you make a reservation here you are getting charged for it! Total rip off! read more

The owners are super friendly they wave when they see you really makes the place feel like home unfortunately they won't let me go seasonal cuz the camper is over 10 years old really nice camp site I just wish they would keep the tents away from the camper this guy asked me to watch for his cat that got out after he used my camper tire for a tie down for his tent LOVE this camp ground everything is nice and clean and very family friendly read more

We rented their "Pavilion" for $150, and when we got there, it was filthy, needed cleaning, had the worst picnic tables in the whole park, and had no sides or lights. We were expecting 50 people for a family reunion, and it was forecasted for rain most of the day unfortunately for us The park manager refused to let us hang tarps on the sides (however, there was staples and holes everywhere!) and their only comment was "well, that's Ohio for you". When all the children were crying because of hiding under the picnic shelter because of thunder and lightning from a severe storm, they refused to let us move some stuff into the really nice large lighted pavilion near by. We took the children to their game room, but were not welcome in the large pavilion area. A late comer family member had some food in her hands and the staff blatantly stated "oh you can't bring any food in here!" It stopped raining, and the event ended up very nice as the children got to swim in the pool and play on the beach. It was great seeing our family, but the rudeness of the staff was not called for. They cleaned the grill, but it did not have a top so we couldn't grill in the rain. They swept the floors, but there were still a lot of bird droppings all over the floor and dilapidated tables. I was highly disappointed and would have never paid so much for the shelter if I had seen it in advance. read more

1st time tent camping found willow lake on google, Seen all the most recent reviews about this campground a few negatives but gave the benefit of the doubt, Showed up checked in registered the staff was very friendly everyone on the campgrounds were polite and friendly. the bathrooms and showers were clean the campgrounds themselves were well cleaned and maintained. The office staff were really polite and friendly everyone had smiles.. Spoke to joe on the way out this morning seems like a good dude.. negative reviews on this place in my own opinion must have been campers who thought they could do whatever they wanted too and got them selves into trouble.. good place me and my family WILL return here for camping.. Willow Lake Park in Brunswick is the nastiest park, Bathrooms are filthy, owners are terrible. when you call in for a campsite 2 months in advance you tell them you want a certain site they say ok it was not taken so we were suppose to get it when we got there they moved us to a different site. these people are not friendly do not open game room until someone complains so all I am saying is this place is a piece of shit, not kid friendly read more

The new owners have come in and have been renovating the campground. The snack shack is currently closed but there is a lot close by. The people are very friendly and welcoming. Kids love the sand and playground area. We really enjoyed it and are thinking of signing up for a site for the season. read more

This campground is under new owners (Joe and Dawn) and it has come a long way in a very short time. Joe and Dawn have been very responsive to any communication we had, whether via in person, via email, or phone. You can tell they take pride in their campground and are working very hard to make improvements. Not sure what Candace is talking about. This is a great place for kids. Pool, fishing lake, arcade, playground, kids activities, hayrides. Sounds like a family place to me. Night time is for fires and drinks. Kids should be in bed so the adults can have time to themselves. Regularly have bands that play in the main pavilion. Any of the troublemakers are 99% of the time people just here for the weekend. Set up tents and party. Rarely does anything get out of hand. My family has had a permanent site here for 30yrs. Never had even an argument with another regular. read more

I was there last summer. My first hand experience is this is a smokers paradise. There are ashtrays every where. Run down rusted campers. And it was a terrible FIRST HAND experience. People were drunk and fighting. I would never go back here and would never recommend this place. read more

I saw the lake on instagram and i had to check it out because of the blue water. This park's policy SUCKS! We made a one-night's reservation in July and paid their fee of $30 - they NEVER stated that it was a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit! Due to the government shutdown, we cancelled our trip - this park is near Cuyahoga NP - and called them the customary 10-days prior requesting a refund or at least a future credit - NO GO! We will NEVER consider them again!!! BE AWARE!!!!!!! read more
