Plenty of stocked seasoned firewood available for purchase, fire ring and picnic table on site. The only issue is the steep gravel road getting down to the campsite. I have a pickup and getting out was a challenge for sure, even with the extra weight I carry in the truckbed. Could use a turnaround at the top of the drive as well as there is no space to maneuver the sharp turn you need to take to get down into the camp area. I hate leaving such a great review because I want to keep this location secret !! Will be a regular here next year for sure

There is a number of things to see and explore ; from The Manor House( the former H.B. If you have children, there is a wonderful nature center with hands on activities, a large playground and live animals such as owls & hawks. You can also enjoy camping, plenty of hiking trails & even cross-country skiing during the colder months. My best friends had their wedding ceremony in the garden last summer...a lot of great options for pictures from a stone arch wall, the gazebo to the beautiful flowers themselves. The next day the same people were doing drugs in their car and everyone in their party was going in and out of the car. Kids all over who swear and have no adult supervision. It's extremely disgusting, annoying and just upsetting this place was like this. We were supposed to stay Sunday too but we left early bc it was so bad.

Bathroom facilities by the laundry area were locked. Washers in facility were dirty. NO Amenities as advertised. NO free wifi. We checked out after not being able to shower. Basically paid $88.50 for a night's stay (Electric hookup only). Asked to get half of my money back, for the night we did stay. Reimbursement for this was never made.

The welcome center seemed brand new and was really well done, with a small museum, plus access to the campground and tons of cabins available to rent. The hiking here is incredible. We did the Hemlock Gorge Trail, and it was just the right level of challenge while still being super enjoyable. The scenery was beautiful the entire way. I also highly recommend checking out the Little and Big Lyons waterfalls. It made for a great loop trail and was definitely a highlight. The park itself is very well maintained. We visited right after some heavy winds, so there were quite a few downed trees, but maintenance was already out there actively clearing and fixing things, which was impressive to see. Overall, such a beautiful park and a trip full of unforgettable memories.

The two stars are really for some solid food at the beach and the fact that security seemed to respond quickly to the multiple fights/safety concerns that happened during our stay. I understand that it's a spot where people are able to let loose, but at a certain point, the lack of rule enforcement/community expectation here creates an unsafe setting for everyone.
