My wife and I visit this winery on a regular basis because we love everything they have to offer; wine, food, atmosphere, and good conversation. This winery is not your typical drinking establishment, but a well thought out business whose focus is clearly on providing the best wines available. It is located in a quaint old red Victorian house on Greenwich Road in Wadsworth, which is immediately adjacent to the Wadsworth Airport, and across the street from a working farm, but don't let this deter you. Parking is on the East side and as you take a short walk to the entrance at the back, you see an open grassy area with several outbuildings. One offers a small stage for musicians surrounded by picnic tables and a larger one for protection from the elements. The entire first floor is open to and usually filled with people enjoying their wine and engaging in conversations. The entryway has a small bar to the right where the dink and food may be ordered. Lisa and her husband Mitch are the proprietors and "their dry reds come from their family estate vineyards in California, while all the other wines are produced using the finest OHIO grown grapes and fruits. Filia means daughter in Latin. The family started growing grapes in NE Ohio in 1902. In 1978, Lisa's dad, Greg, relocated the family to Napa where he has continued to produce award winning wines ever since. Working together with the entire family, Filia is proud to share their passion and wines with you. Working closely with her renowned wine-making father while pursuing her degree in Oenology and Viticulture at UC Davis, Lisa Locklear is committed to producing delicious wines in a comfortable family (and dog) friendly environment. Filia Cellars features white wines from Ohio and red wines from the family estate in California. If you are looking for a great place to relax and decompress, Fila Cellers is a place for you. You will not be disappointed.i

Cozy place. The owners are super nice. Occasional live entertainment. Good wine. We've been here several times, never disappointed. Love the historical home. I recommend it!

Filia Cellars is located in an old, century house remodeled into a winery, located next to the Wadsworth airport. The rooms are rather small, of course, but there are several of them. However, one large group can effectively take over the more ideal rooms (you know, the one with the fireplace). We sat in the enclosed porch area and were very comfortable while the temps outside were in the low 40's. Three of us were there the other day and we each ordered something different. We all enjoyed what we ordered. My glass ran $6.00 and was a nice healthy pour. Food is available for snacking, or bring your own. A sampler of five (or six?) wines can be had for $5.00. The owners are very friendly and made us feel quite welcome. I'll probably be back.

Can you say CHARACTER?!! This place has it...AND More. Staff, music, events, and best of all, great wines. Whether it's a party, a play day, or a quiet outing. Date nights, girls nights, or get togethers. Every time we have fun, every time we feel like family, and every time we have an enjoyable experience. The only regret I have, is not knowing this place was here years ago!

Stopped by Filia Cellars after finding out that there is a winery in Wadsworth. Both the wine and owners were amazing! Such a hidden gem and we can't wait to come back again when it's not raining and enjoy wine outside. We enjoyed some glasses of Isabella and Hannah!

We went here on a groupon, and felt a little put off when we presented it. We were then handed our samples, a wrapped block of Kraft cheese like you would get at the grocery, some chocolate, and sent on our way. We seemed to be in the way of regulars, so we found a corner, tried our samples and decided to leave. I did enjoy a few of the samples so we purchased a great deal of wine to take with us so that we could enjoy it in a more comfortable setting. The owner's sister was there and was an absolute hoot to talk with and even helped us get our bottles to the car. Probably would not return except to purchase more wine on the fly.

First visit here tonight and enjoyed the charming and cozy atmosphere. Seating arrangement allows for great views and conversation. Owners are extremely friendly and work to make it a place "where everybody knows your name." A pleasant, unexpected surprise. Will definitely return.

Because they don't have a food license, Lisa and Mitch do have cheese and crackers that are pre packaged for purchase.

Although they've been here for only a short while, they currently craft their wines at @lincolnwayvineyards --a place we love and have missed visiting. I absolutely loved the "Satisfaction" red wine. It's a dry, oaked wine with aromas of dark fruit, made from French-American hybrid DeChaunac grapes originating from New York, and it boasts a 13.1% ABV. Another standout was the "After Midnight," which reminds me of a saying my parents used when I wanted to extend my curfew in high school: "Nothing good happens after midnight." This wine is the exception. It's a semi-dry, floral aromatic wine, also originating from New York, on the sweeter side with a 2.5% residual sugar and a 12.3% ABV. Overall, the staff was awesome, the wine was excellent, and the space was inviting. Can't wait to revisit. Cheers!

OK, whatever, they were busy. We were overcharged for our wine by a $1, but we let that go. The thing that annoyed me most was that they weren't even serving wine in the right glasses. There are red wine glasses and there are white wine glasses; You're a wine bar - serve it in the proper glass. So maybe it's just that one night when there was a crowd. Sadly, no. Went after work last week and only four other patrons. The three guys hanging out with owner all had red wine in red wine glasses, but the guy next to me got red wine in a white wine glass. So apparently they're just clueless. Or perhaps they were saving all the red wine glasses for friends of the owner. As far as wine selection, thumbs down. Maybe 20 whites, total. There are many, many restaurants with better selections, such as Papa Joe's, the Bistro in Kent, that will even serve your wine in the right wine glass -- imagine that! To be honest, I don't get the sense that they're taking their business seriously, more like, "Hey, let's open a wine bar! We don't know jack about wine or the service industry, but it couldn't possibly be THAT hard, right? We'll print up the wine lists on the home computer and put them in these 3 prong cardboard folders left over from when the kids were in middle school. Piece of cake."
