Beautiful is the operative word for this place. All you NE Ohio Yelpers who do wineries up your way, come on down. This place is worth a taste. Check the website for a map. There are signs off I-76. New, elegant architecture grabs you as you walk in. There's plenty of seating inside. Individual tastings are possible, but I'd suggest the sampler platter. You get a taste of all their wines for about $6.50. Seating outside is an option as well and a good one at that when the weather is nice. The vineyards, such as they are, can be seen from the patio area, along with a pond and a nice wooded area. If you care for live jazz/folk music while sipping, you'll want to make the trip on Friday or Saturday, get there before 6PM and sit outside. Parking appears to be just less than adequate if they get busy (read: Saturday evening). As for the wines, well, I've had a few in the Lake Erie region of Ohio and these are some of the best. Although I can't say definitively, they don't appear to be using any of their own grapes. I suspect they're buying grapes/juice. My recommendation is the Chardonnay. Very buttery, dry and a smooth finish. My wife's recommendation is the Riesling. This is a dry Riesling, with, as the tasting guide indicates, a crisp finish. I thought it had a bit of a fizz to it. Finally, as I'm not a fan of Ohio reds, this place didn't change my mind, but I found the Dolce Rosso to be a nice dessert red. I think slightly chilled would be the best option here. There is a light menu, but the food is quite good. I've had the chicken, pulled pork and sausage sandwiches. All were very good. They came with the classic deli accompaniments, pickle spear and potato chips. Although I didn't get one, the cheese trays looked dreadful but a patron at the bar indicated that the Stuffed Hot banana pepper with Chorizo sausage & marinara was very good. You'll find an interesting mix of folks from the Escalade set to the college double-daters to forty-somethings like myself to the occasional line worker at GM Lordstown. Watching the crowd can be just as fun as anything else here.

Beautiful venue. Love the Dog. They have food trucks on the weekends. COVID review they will do samples and flights whatever you want to do. We did a sweet sampler and red wine slush. Both were good. Only wish the samples had been cold. We got a bottle to go. Will be back.

So good!!!

I love visiting wineries in other states. My trip to Ohio this past weekend was fantastic. My local friends took me to this amazing Winery, all I can say is I wish it was summer time because the place is absolutely beautiful. Great outside seating of course it was too cold to do that but none the less appealing to the eye. I also love how in different states they do things completely differently for instance, instead of a wine flight which is what we're used to hearing New York just like beer, I got little plastic shot cups for my tasting for $0.50. Which I have to say I did not hate as an avid White Wine Drinker I tasted all of them except the Chardonnay and they were all pretty tasty. I came home with Vidal Blanc, which was friity, dry, amd just delicious! One of the owners was also walking around grading everybody which was really nice there was a couple singing in the corner, a very relaxed atmosphere, I will definitely go back my next visit. AND THOSE DAMN WHISKEY STICKS, ADDICTING, THANK GOD I CAN ORDER THEM ONLINE! GREAT PLACE

We've been to a number of Ohio wineries and this is the first one that had what we consider to be a drinkable wine (unless you happen to be among those who like to drink kool aid or soda pop masquerading as wine) . How drinkable? Our two couples enjoyed three bottles of their featured Riesling... and considered buying another to take home. Our guests were visiting from Maryland and along with us on a perfect summer evening, we enjoyed the outside grounds along with two excellent food trucks, a nice little musical combo, and of course the wine. Pleasant and efficient staff, plenty of parking, lots of outside seating options including six fire pits, umbrella tables, a pavilion and more. We will be back.

Mastropietro Winery is set back from the road and the vineyard runs on either side of the driveway. The building is somewhat modern and has fire pits with seating along the front. There is also outdoor seating under a gazebo and another covered area. It is another reason to look forward to summer. At the entrance, you can choose to sit in the left section, which has table seating, muted lighting and a small stage platform for live music. The right section is where the tasting room is as well as more table seating and a stone fireplace. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. The wines were good here. I had the cabernet which had tones of blackberry, chocolate and a nice finish. We share a fontinella cheese with crackers and it was well paired with the wine. We could still hear the music from the other room, but the noise level was good for conversation. I look forward to going back.

The wine is good, the entertainment is good, and the two bartenders were very nice and helpful.

The Vidal Blanc stood out right away--off-dry, estate-grown, with just a touch of oak that gave it a subtle, elegant complexity.

Umbrellas are a bit unstable. While there one almost flew in to the lake. But we are here for wine. Walk in and you can smell the food. I did not have any food so I cannot comment. Smelled good though. People seemed to enjoy. They had a special on sangria so we went with that. They said it was a pint glass. But it's not a pint. I have had a pint many times and this was just a solo cup that is less than a pint. Not the red solo but clear with lid. Sangria was ok. Fruit was a slice of orange. A bit dry for me. Not horrible but not to my liking. They have a handful of other wines. You can try and taste just ask. The issue was really the employees. I thought they were abrupt and kinda rude. I am here to spend money and it seemed like my questions annoyed them. Never been here so I wanted to know what everything was about. Maybe I went on an off day. There were quite a few people there trying to enjoy the day. Overall i might pass next time. Good view. But so-so on the experience.

I got the cider flight of "Unicorn Blood", "Burrows Berry Brew", "Pollyjose Potion", and "Scarlet Spell". They were all fantastic and we loved trying them all. It was close, but the Scarlett spell was my favorite with the cherry/watermelon taste. The atmosphere is so fun and the staff are fun to be around. We enjoy coming here every year and honestly should come more often.

We had such a good experience the first time, we had to come back again when we were nearby. My wife prefers dry wines, I prefer sweet wines, but I'm open to all types. We both found several things we like here and were pretty surprised at the quality of the wine. We did a flight each time we went and bought bottles to go when we left both times. We don't always buy bottles unless it's something we both can enjoy together. The place had a lot of character. Someone put a lot of thought and work into the decor, design, and atmosphere of the place. It was artistic and comfortable. I always appreciate that. We chose to sit at the bar both times, but enjoyed looking around at the walls and taking a trip up the stairs for a nice overhead view of the first floor. The service was great and really is the selling point for returning. It's the number one reason that we'll go back again when we're in town. The wine tasted great, the atmosphere was nice, but it's the service that puts this place over the top. Hopefully we will always have this experience, but I do believe we had the same couple serving us both times. I'd obviously highly recommend anyone who enjoys drinking wine, going to wineries, or trying out new places.

Visited here for the first time over the Thanksgiving holiday…read more Vineyards is a bit off the beaten path, about 15 miles south of Youngstown. The Tasting Restaurant can be found down a long drive through the vineyards, passed a round-a-about and perching above the Pine Lake. It definitely has a country club vibe to it. It's a little bit of a hike from the lot to the door, so you may find it necessary to drop off your party at the door. Our party was seated on the patio. It was heated, but there are many windows that give you a great view of the lake. It was a pretty chilly spot in late November, so bring a cardigan. Service was efficient and present, but not too bothersome. A couple in our party ordered flights so that we could try a nice selection of their wines. We enjoyed the Gold Medal and Fruit Lovers flights on this occasion. I have found that at many Ohio wineries you are best off trying sweeter wines, as getting those bold, dry grapes is harder than in other parts of the country. Though I enjoyed the Berry Patch and Midnight Vines, the Pinot Noir was also impressive. Additionally, I tried the Honey Mango Jalapeno Ale. It was too many things for my palette - not my jam. For dinner I found the special stuffed pepper soup to be a hit, while the French Onion was a miss. The broth was a bit too watery and could have benefitted from a beefier au jus. The Mushroom Ravioli was a fantastic choice, particularly if you are vegetarian. While the Figgy Flatbread was good, it was a bit one note. The bread was a little thicker than I would have expected and ultimately the dish fell a little flat. I would definitely try again, but it is a bit of an adventure to get that far out of town.

First the stunning views from the deck are exactly what one wants to see when sipping on wine and having charcuterie. The wines. I love you can do a flight at the table in addition to the tasting bar. This is a plus for me as someone who would like to take their time when trying multiple wines. I also live that you can add a single sample to any flight this is very customer friendly. The food. We ordered the charcuterie board (Def get it for 3+ people) and yes $30 may seen like a lot you get $30 worth of food and more. I left with two boxes! This is what I want for a lingering evening at a winery while having wine, visiting with friends and listening to easy acoustic music. Domenick was our server and he was such a pleasure. Knew the menu, knew answers to our questions, and was very friendly. (Everyone there was!) Cannot recommend this place enough for a night on the town if in the area.
