    D2 blonde

Stopped for a few beers on a Saturday afternoon. Loved the medieval theme and ambiance of the inside. I had two different blonde ales. Husband had an ipa and the classic lager. All very good. We enjoyed our beers on the patio. There are lots of picnic tables, coverage under the patio, a little pond, and looks like lots of field area for there to be events and for children to enjoy. There was also a sign about different activities they have throughout the summer. Seems like a super fun place to be we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

Great brewery. Fantastic beers and the flatbread pizzas are awesome. And hey they have Ice-cream sandwiches for dessert. What??? Stop by. It's a must.

Absolutely love Paladin. The porter might be the best I've ever had. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The staff was great; I'm only remembering Bob by name (nice guy), but all four of the people behind the bar were friendly and helpful.

The reviews were good so instead of another place we came here. It's 1:40pm on a Sunday. Not 5 minutes after we place an order the table behind us gets a full menu, with burgers and sandwiches on it. Am I a bit PO'd.... YEP Also the waitress doesn't smile. She looks miserable, geez, at least make an effort! So I ordered chicken and waffles and my husband ordered a few wings. As for the food..... The chicken tenders are AAMazing! Waffle is good and the hubs like the ginger lime wings although a small side of sauce and a few celery and carrots would make a better presentation. But for the diamond in the rough. I can only assume it was the manager/owner that delivered our food. I asked why we had a limited menu as I read here on Yelp I should have the prime grilled cheese. This man offed it to me on the house now that is some great customer service. I had to decline bc we have such a long drive ahead of us but he hands down was so kind. So I'm going with 4 stars. To sum this up I would happily come back just bc of his kind service! As we were finishing up Doug the owner came by again and he is a great reason to visit this place. He definitely has a heart for customer service!! Thanks Doug

What looks like a nondescript bar with a modern twist is actually a goldmine of appetizers. My family of five descended upon the place today and we ordered a slew of appetizers. Let me tell you, it was a feast for the ages. The place was immaculate, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. I had a hard time choosing a favorite, but if I had to pick, it would be the Brussels sprouts and crab Rangoon dip, closely followed by the lime wings. We're all from different parts of town, but we'll definitely be back. It's a hidden gem worth discovering.

The interior and decor takes you back in time and can let your mind wander as to how things were when it operated as a train station. They do a great job of having it ready for your event and those in attendance will enjoy themselves and their surroundings while there. Great spot in the Mahoning Valley. The location is somewhat unsuspecting considering it is near the heart of downtown Youngstown, but there is a nice dock overlooking the Mahoning River and the banquet hall is actually quite elegant on the inside - it's an old train station, hence the name B & O Station Banquet Hall. I know they got a good deal on the price, but for how many issues ensued following the booking, I am not entirely sure either of the newlyweds were very satisfied with the decision. My sister always said she just wanted to elope and if she knew all the problems that would arise during the event planning, she may have went with her initial instinct. Things seemed to be going well until a couple days before the wedding she was contacted through text message that the elevator in the hall was broken and none of the tables or chairs would be able to be transported between levels. The original plan was to have the ceremony in the lower level of the hall and the reception would be held upstairs. This certainly put a kink in things and I can imagine it was increasingly frustrating to be contacted through text, not even a phone call, with a problem that would affect the ceremony so greatly. The issue was resolved after some contemplation, but the professionalism of the staff continued to come into question with various other instances over the weekend. The rehearsal took place Friday evening before the wedding, and the manager was supposed to meet the group at 6:00 - she never showed up. The caterer arrived the next morning - it was a 10 AM ceremony followed by brunch - to discover that the ovens were not functional and had a difficult time keeping all of the food warm with a limited supply of hot trays. Whether the staff failed to inform its customer of that fact or whether they were simply unaware of the functionality of their appliances does not speak well for the business. In the end, regardless of the surprises, it was a magnificent wedding. You can't let things beyond your control spoil something so beautiful. Do I think my sister would go back and do everything the exactly the same? Probably not. At least she will have some interesting stories to tell about the day she got married. As for me, it gave me an new Yelp review to write. The B & O really is a hidden gem in terms of its elegance and unique banquet setting, but the staff needs to step it up in terms of their performance. Lastly, I can't speak for the brews that are made here, as I have never tried any, and being a big time craft beer drinker I'd love to give them a try, but I won't deny that my desire to rush back has been hindered by the banquet hall's competence.
