Sausage & Hot pepper pizza
Lorie P.

First time at this "winery" with 1 grapevine. Chardonnay not dry , more sweet. Ordered a sausage & hot pepper pizza. Not a fan of US pizza so this was a test. It was excellent. Nice thin homemade crust. Very clean & nice atmosphere. Excellent service

Food was good. Ordered a margarita pizza. Table Service was very attentive. It was a very low key ambiance on a very wet Sunday afternoon but super relaxing. Golf course behind the winery looked inviting. May come back some day and make a day of it!

Came here on a dreary April Saturday. My husband and I sampled with a flight and enjoyed them all. We chose a bottle of Craig to drink with some flatbread pizzas. Very cute and spacious inside, looked like they were setting up in one corner for some sort of large group or private event perhaps. There's also a small little wine shop with funny little gifts. I know I'd appreciate this place even more on a nice day when we could take our wine and food outside and eat by the lake. They have tons of picnic tables and yard out there to enjoy. We're hoping to ride our motorcycle back in the summer.

a glass of wine and cheese

A coworker had told my wife about this winery and we made the 40min trek to try it. The setting is nice, although there's so much untapped potential with the backdrop of the lake and the open lawn, that it's disappointing to have not done more with the space. The wine selection is rather small and nothing that would impress. I ordered a portobello mushroom sandwich that I believe was made with a different type of mushroom. It came with vegetable chips that were stale and looked as though they had come out of a vending machine. I'm glad we tried it because it's local, but we will not return.

What a surprising find great staff

So so glad we stopped here. Wonderful staff. Friendly and helpful. The wine is good and the flat bread pizza is amazing bbq chicken pizza with jalapeño kick to it .. really changed the taste of wine. A jewel in lake milton

Nice view and good wine. With music on the weekends, it's definitely worth the trip out.

Ask the Community - Halliday's Winery

Does the winery have a dock on the lake?

No. It's after the damn. There is no lake access from the winery itself.

You can tell they put a lot of care into both the quality of the food and the presentation. If you're looking for great BBQ with generous portions and amazing taste, this place is definitely worth a visit. The young lady working mentioned that it was their first day at Mastropietro Winery with her husband. They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the food and the experience. We hope they'll be back again soon!

A Long Overdue Return to Mastropietro Winery…read more We finally made it back to Mastropietro Winery after seven years--and what a perfect day for it. It was a quiet winter afternoon, but with a surprising twist: a hot and sunny 77-degree day that felt more like early summer than mid-winter. Naturally, we took advantage of the weather and enjoyed our wine outside, soaking in the sunshine and peaceful atmosphere. I realized I'd never taken a photo in front of the iconic Mastropietro sign--so this visit felt long overdue in more ways than one. We sampled several wines during our visit, and I was really impressed. The Vidal Blanc stood out right away--off-dry, estate-grown, with just a touch of oak that gave it a subtle, elegant complexity. The Riesling was bright and delicious, and the Cabernet was smooth and easy to enjoy. But the real star for me was the Chambourcin--absolutely fantastic! If I heard correctly, it's 100% Chambourcin and estate-grown as well, which made it all the more special. Mastropietro continues to impress, and this visit reminded me why it's such a gem. Cheers to great wine, unexpected weather, and coming back to places that feel like home.

I got the cider flight of "Unicorn Blood", "Burrows Berry Brew", "Pollyjose Potion", and "Scarlet Spell". They were all fantastic and we loved trying them all. It was close, but the Scarlett spell was my favorite with the cherry/watermelon taste. The atmosphere is so fun and the staff are fun to be around. We enjoy coming here every year and honestly should come more often.

We had such a good experience the first time, we had to come back again when we were nearby. My wife prefers dry wines, I prefer sweet wines, but I'm open to all types. We both found several things we like here and were pretty surprised at the quality of the wine. We did a flight each time we went and bought bottles to go when we left both times. We don't always buy bottles unless it's something we both can enjoy together. The place had a lot of character. Someone put a lot of thought and work into the decor, design, and atmosphere of the place. It was artistic and comfortable. I always appreciate that. We chose to sit at the bar both times, but enjoyed looking around at the walls and taking a trip up the stairs for a nice overhead view of the first floor. The service was great and really is the selling point for returning. It's the number one reason that we'll go back again when we're in town. The wine tasted great, the atmosphere was nice, but it's the service that puts this place over the top. Hopefully we will always have this experience, but I do believe we had the same couple serving us both times. I'd obviously highly recommend anyone who enjoys drinking wine, going to wineries, or trying out new places.

This week I happened to go to this restaurant twice. Once with a friend and once with a group…read more Sat inside on the first visit. Very inviting we sat at a table with a cloth table covering some tables had them and some didn't but it worked aesthetically! I ordered fish and chips came with coleslaw and fries. My friend had the Lobster rolls with sweet potato fries! My fish and chips came and the fish was ok but the fries were soggy and the coleslaw I didn't even eat it just looked bad. I should have returned it but I had not seen my friend in a long time and didn't want to make a fuss. I had told her I had the lobster roll before and it had been good. When hers came I would have never guessed it was lobster . It looked like small tiny pieces of the leftover lobster from inside a shell . Wasn't chunks of lobster. For 25 dollars I would rather get one roll full of big chunks of lobster and even pay more for a better lobster roll. Very disappointed . You have a beautiful facility and good service but disappointing food . Came back on Friday with a group of people only because I had made reservations and could not change them in time . We sat outside this time in a high top table. It was a beautiful evening. We would have stayed longer but the chairs were so uncomfortable we left as soon as we were finished. Our service was great can't complain about that . Most of the food was ok . I had tuna on top of my pasta the tuna was very good and the pasta was good just a little dry it could have used a lot more sauce . Maybe some good rolls or garlic bread to go with it. Same with the salads that a served you really need something to break up the monotony of eating pasta or a salad without a nice piece of bread to go with it. Just a suggestion because that's one of the comments from most at the table that had salads or pasta dishes . We ordered the homemade chips as an app for the table they were good everyone enjoyed them . I love the place it's very nice . Again get the food right . Especially the lobster roll. Put something in it that resembles lobster . Charging the same for one good roll is better than two bad ones !
