They said "the knives are in a different building" The bartender working couldn't be less thrilled to be there. He was annoyed every time you walked up and had to get off his phone to help you. I found it weird again with a police officer walking around a wedding. I have never been to a wedding with a police or security guard walking around. It can get very warm/hot. No air conditioning in the barn, the sun was very warm during the ceremony, 3 bathrooms for 120 people didn't seem enough I would probably look for something better if you were looking for the perfect wedding.

Looking like something out of wine country the venue provides a nice setting for events. We entered through the main building which had vendors set up inside in a nice sized room. Behind this is a covered patio which overlooks the lawn area where they had the tastings set up with more vendors as well. The only downside was the traffic going by on I-76, but that was much less noticeable on the lawn which is a bit lower then the highway. The tasting was well run, volunteers did the tasting pours with people from the providers available for more information. Most of the providers were from Ohio, with several out of state providers as well. I ended up tasting several wines including a very nice Pinot from Cle Winery in Cleveland Heights. I also tried some hard cider and a mead, both of which were very good. I finished with trying several beers for a wide variety. The Uncorked event was very nice, well run and seemed to have a good turnout despite some weather issues. Buffalo Creek is a bit far from Cleveland but provided a very nice setting.

The parking lot was full! We were told down the road two rights and a left! So we winged it! Found it a shuttle bus packed in about 40 people and about a 6 minutes ride to check in! We first we went through the building and saw lots of jewelry and other high price nicknacks. Then outside to go down a beautiful walkway to all the many tents and food trucks! We won the tickets to get in and 10 tickets to taste or drink wines or beers. One ticket to a third or so glass or four tickets for a full glass! There was a close tent to buy more tickets if you wanted more tastings or full glass as you desire! Food you pay what you order at the food trucks. People were nice and friendly! There was at least twenty different vineyards and cellars giving out taste samples or full grass depending on what you wanted! I highly recommend going there next year! We hope to go again! The samples we like we got their address and plan to visit for a tour or just hang out! The shuttle was a pleasant ride or get there early you be able to park in their main parking lot!

The lodge is a medium sized venue that fits just under 100 people. There is an outside grassy area that is slightly hilly but can be perfect for stepping out for a summer event or a summer wedding. It isn't a fancy place but it does the job well. I believe the venue provided the food and the wedding party brought their own music and entertainment. The food was a nice dinner of a starter course (salad, I think), a main dish (meats), and a dessert (I forgot what was served for dessert). Drinks were provided to from non-alcoholic to alcoholic. The Hall itself is not a bad looking place. This all led me to book the hall for the reception at my September wedding. However, personal problems led me to have to cancel my reservation. Per the event contract the hall got to keep the deposit, but anything else was owed back to me. I canceled in April and was told two weeks and I would have my refund. Three weeks passed and still no refund. So I called again and got no answer. After so long a time and not hearing back from the hall, my mom tries her luck, but she also gets the answering machine. The man we met with finally calls back. He says they are behind in their finances, but that I will definitely have my money in June. Skip ahead it is 3 weeks into June and my fiance decides he'll call to remind the hall and he, in turn, gets no answer. 6 days before the end of June my mom gives it another try and gets the answering machine again. After threatening to report the hall to the Better Business Bureau the man says he will have my refund back to me within a week. Tomorrow (Wednesday- July 1st (mind you he also claimed I would definitely get my refund back in June)) is the end of that week and yet I still have no refund. It is beginning to get very frustrating. This is why Lake Anna Hall earned two stars from me. They are nice at first impression, and though I don't know for certain if you do not have complications they might not be a bad place. However, if there is ANY reason that something AT ALL may arise where you have to cancel, reschedule or otherwise... I would reconsider. They have been giving us the runaround for almost two months now and I certainly cannot honestly recommend this place to anyone.
