This is an adorable small animal farm. Pure passions has Nigerian dwarf goats, geese, ducks,…read morealpacas, and a barn cat. We arrived with three children. There's plenty of parking for about 20 cars. There are two barns and clean restrooms. The price is reasonable at $10 per car load. The owners are very nice. They didn't just take our money and give us a map; they showed us around and then let us go off on our own. Feed is available in small buckets for $3. All the alpacas and the goats loved it. There is a small playground, basketballs and basketball hoops, and a fairy garden too. We stayed a little over an hour but would have stayed longer if it hadn't started raining. We'll be going back to visit Santa Claus next month and in the spring for goat yoga!

I've got a place fairly close to me in Allentown, PA that's been doing a driving light display like this for years which is $10 less or I could go to the one at Hershey Park which would be more lights than here but is still technically cheaper. 2. In a sort of, it's not their fault category, the day prior it snowed and several of the displays weren't fully visible due to being some version of snow covered/snow obstructed. Overall this one is nice but small and before you know it, you're done. Is it worth it? For a Grinch like me, it's a waste of money, for someone who loves their Christmas, they might see this as a good investment.

There were multiple accounts of random people behind us, being GRABBED and having a bright light shone in their face. All the while they were screaming and swearing "(F***) you" at them, never EVER go here you will be kicked out (with out a refund) for doing the simplest things. As he escorted some of my friends out of the premisis, he continued to drop f bombs and swear heavily at them. Keep in mind, these aren't older teens... these are 14 year olds. Would not reccomend going if you are under 18. They seem to be very harsh towards teens for absolutely no reason either. Never going back

The property was beautiful and set up so nice even though it had just poured rain two hours prior. The wine was delicious (and I don't even drink)! The ticket price was $35 for this event, but you get 12 samples of wine, a fun time in a huge corn maze, free cheese, chocolate & fruit, and the chance to make new friends. Overall, we had an amazing time! We even finished the night with a bonfire by the sunset & hot chocolate.

Currently, the admission price is $15 per adult, and children cost less. Food such as crackers can be purchased in the gift shop and fed to some animals. The website contains a wish list of many items that people can donate. I visited this sanctuary on a Monday afternoon. Most of the animals' enclosures were fairly spacious. I saw an emu who had deformed legs, horses who could not see, a deer who had cancerous tumors, and so on. I feel happy to know that these animals have a home to live out the rest of their lives, and I encourage other people to visit and financially support this sanctuary.

The whole grounds do go quickly, but I guarantee you'll have fun! Some of the fenced areas have some undergrowth that makes seeing animals hard (I was a little upset about that) bc you want to be able to see them but the brambles and upgrowth makes it hard. Wild beasties are gorgeous and vocal and fun to watch weather they are rolling in the grass or taking a dip in their pools. It's my birthday and I literally had a day and experience I'll always treasure!

Registration is a bit of a process. You first have to create a profile through the Lorain County Metro Parks system, then return to the Splash Zone site to register for a specific program on a designated day and time. Once registered, the system shows your cost--mine initially showed $0. I arrived about 30 minutes early on the morning of my class, which turned out to be helpful because I had to re-register in person. After completing that, I was told there would normally be a $3 fee due to my SilverSneakers account. However, the woman at the front desk kindly let me attend for free that day, explaining that future visits would be $3. Since I'd never been there before, I had to navigate through several locker and pool areas. There are multiple pools separated by glass dividers with automatic doors--someone shared a helpful tip that the small black box above the door shows which side to stand on to trigger it. The instructor came in without much of an introduction, set up a small carry-on-size speaker, put on her headset, and began the class. The workout was aqua Tabata (a Japanese-style interval workout): 20 seconds of fast-paced movement followed by 10 seconds of rest. The class lasted 45 minutes. I stayed for about 30 minutes, choosing to leave early since shower space is limited and I like to be considerate of others. The workout itself was excellent, and being in the water felt really good. The showers, however, were not great--hair on the floor and a general "public park" feel, even at 10:30 a.m. I was glad I wore water shoes. On the plus side, the water temperature and the very hot shower afterward were appreciated. The instructor mentioned that this is her business and encouraged people to connect on Facebook (with a profile photo), and it's clear she's very talented. Overall, despite a few logistical and cleanliness issues, I'd go back again--and next time, I'd happily pay the $3 when I'm in town.

Then the lifeguard switched a bunch of times. She was able to go on the side all those times. And she was tall enough all those times also. And then there lifeguard who didn't let her and said she was too short. I let him know that she was a really strong swimmer and that she could touch the bottom of the pool. There was this one kid who was in line in front of her and he let her go was the same height as my daughter. And then the lifeguard Lucas said my daughter was too short. Even if she was the same as other girl that went in front of her. Her hair was what was making her taller. And he said the hair on her head counts. So I put my daughter's hair up in a bun and he said well that doesn't . She cannot go on the slide. That is what got on my nerves. We will not be going back to splash zone again if it has anything to do with that lifeguard.

People are very friendly here and will say hello. This park is connected to a beautiful town, where people are that friendly, so don't be alarmed! On a Sunday afternoon, you will find lots of runners passing you and bicycles too, so just be careful and stay to the right.

The pictures looked so cute. Total waste of money. One small room with rabbit cages ( no cute baby bunnies ), goats, a filthy alpaca, horses and chickens. No baby chicks. Parking was a bit tight too, since there was a child's party in the back barn as well. They are looking for volunteers and it would be s nice place for someone to de-stress and get their hands a little dirty. Also, gardening does burn calories. Every season you will see new plants and flowers coming up. It's not your perfectly polished garden, but it's your rough work in progress labor of love. The park is well-maintained and the variety of plants and flowers is truly stunning. I enjoyed walking through the different gardens, each with its own unique character and charm. They just opened on April 1st for the season so not everything was in bloom (obviously) but my minds eye could imagine if. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the dedication of the staff to ensure that everything was in pristine condition. I could tell that they take great pride in their work and it definitely shows. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Strongsville Gardenview Horticultural Park. It's a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city and a true gem for nature lovers. Five stars all around!

To encourage the alpacas to visit your mat, Kim will put out buckets of food to encourage interactions. Alpacas are quite funny. I learned they don't like being touched on their head/face but rather their neck and behind! They move quickly and like slow, thoughtful movements. My favorite alpaca was Sadie. She's a cutie girl that is really well-adjusted to people and constantly came over for pets! I loved this little spot and we'll absolutely be back! Animal yoga is oddly relaxing. You don't need to be good at yoga to take an Alpaca Yoga class. Just try! It's really more about the therapeutic benefits of the animal, in my opinion.
