Second time here. Nice appetizer menu. We've enjoyed the focaccia. Loved the calm country feel…read more Beautiful outdoor area with view to the nearby country airport where you can see the local small aircraft take off and land. Enjoyable afternoon. Good service. Dry wines are nice but not a huge variety for those looking for flights. Thankfully we found a couple we really enjoyed (pretty woman & satisfaction). Will come again when we're in the area!

Although they've been here for only a short while, they currently craft their wines at @lincolnwayvineyards --a place we love and have missed visiting. I absolutely loved the "Satisfaction" red wine. It's a dry, oaked wine with aromas of dark fruit, made from French-American hybrid DeChaunac grapes originating from New York, and it boasts a 13.1% ABV. Another standout was the "After Midnight," which reminds me of a saying my parents used when I wanted to extend my curfew in high school: "Nothing good happens after midnight." This wine is the exception. It's a semi-dry, floral aromatic wine, also originating from New York, on the sweeter side with a 2.5% residual sugar and a 12.3% ABV. Overall, the staff was awesome, the wine was excellent, and the space was inviting. Can't wait to revisit. Cheers!

Buffalo Creek Retreat - Uncorked Wine tasting

Thanks to Yelp got tickets to the Uncorked Medina Wine Festival at the Buffalo Creek Resort. The…read morevenue is owned by Medina Metroparks and is nestled near the I-76 and I-77 interchange. Looking like something out of wine country the venue provides a nice setting for events. We entered through the main building which had vendors set up inside in a nice sized room. Behind this is a covered patio which overlooks the lawn area where they had the tastings set up with more vendors as well. The only downside was the traffic going by on I-76, but that was much less noticeable on the lawn which is a bit lower then the highway. The tasting was well run, volunteers did the tasting pours with people from the providers available for more information. Most of the providers were from Ohio, with several out of state providers as well. I ended up tasting several wines including a very nice Pinot from Cle Winery in Cleveland Heights. I also tried some hard cider and a mead, both of which were very good. I finished with trying several beers for a wide variety. The Uncorked event was very nice, well run and seemed to have a good turnout despite some weather issues. Buffalo Creek is a bit far from Cleveland but provided a very nice setting.

The parking lot was full! We were told down the road two rights and a left! So we winged it! Found it a shuttle bus packed in about 40 people and about a 6 minutes ride to check in! We first we went through the building and saw lots of jewelry and other high price nicknacks. Then outside to go down a beautiful walkway to all the many tents and food trucks! We won the tickets to get in and 10 tickets to taste or drink wines or beers. One ticket to a third or so glass or four tickets for a full glass! There was a close tent to buy more tickets if you wanted more tastings or full glass as you desire! Food you pay what you order at the food trucks. People were nice and friendly! There was at least twenty different vineyards and cellars giving out taste samples or full grass depending on what you wanted! I highly recommend going there next year! We hope to go again! The samples we like we got their address and plan to visit for a tour or just hang out! The shuttle was a pleasant ride or get there early you be able to park in their main parking lot!

I stopped here for lunch while picking up a few items in a lunch errand to town!…read more I wanted a hot lunch since it turned cold today! I ordered Speedy Gonzalez which was a soft beef taco and a hard shell beef taco with rice. I ordered a small guacamole dip and a bottled Mexican Coke too! The service was quick and friendly. The chips were lightly fried - with a flaky but lightly crunchy consistency to them. They were almost melt in the mouth with just enough crunch. The salsa was excellent and the guacamole was fresh with a nice taste and consistency. The coke was a little smaller than the bottle size I get at home where I live and frequently eat. But the Size was fine and what I would describe as medium sized bottle (350ml). The location offers a separate bar area and adult beverages appear to be served during all hours of operation - including table service. They offered specials on lunch margaritas - though I do not get any. When my order came out, the kitchen had out a chicken enchilada and beef taco on the plate with rice. I kept it and ate it as it didn't bother me for order to vary slightly from what I had ordered. The beef taco had a generous portion of meat and cheese topped with lettuce. The beef was nice and hot and was well seasoned. The rice was fluffy and hot - and I note the whole plate was quite hot to the touch and emanated heat through my meal. This was fine with me, as I like to eat my food hot. The chicken was hot and there was a generous portion of chicken inside the enchilada - though by the time J got to it - I was full! I ate about 1/4 of the enchilada. I would return. The chicken was good - but I wouldn't repeat - not for lack of satisfaction/excellence - it's just not my fave. I prefer beef enchiladas or cheese enchilada. If I do eat chicken enchiladas, I prefer the green chile chicken enchiladas and these were not those - again no fault of anyone and the chicken was excellent quality and tasted fine - just not my preference. The restart is clean and comfortable. The servers were whistling and singing along with the music throughout my visit which was fine with me. I enjoyed it and it was not a distraction to me at all.

These are not mini tacos either but filled with your choice of meat, chorizo, onion, cilantro, pineapple, and avacado. The salsa that comes with it is spicey and delicious. The meal also comes with a separate place of rice and refried beans--so better bring your appetite. I would also recommend the chicken soup--just chock full of ingredients. I sometimes order the large as my meal. The service here is always good and the food comes out fast. Even the free chips and salsa is excellent! This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in NE Ohio. I'm glad to see that the food is still excellent!
