Falcone's Tavern - Fal Coney Foot Long

I stopped in one night for a beer and dinner. The Oktoberfest was cold and good. I read they had a…read morefootlong that was half a pound. Actually it is two 6 Inch coneys that are each 1/2 pound. The hot dog and bun were good while the coney sauce could use more heat. The cheese and onion made the coney better. Service was good and ambiance better than you would expect at a neighborhood bar.

We have been here two times so I am combining both experiences in one review…read more Atmosphere: The inside is very quaint. There is a top area that has some tables along the walls but I would describe it mostly as the "bar area" then there is a downstairs area with table seating. We preferred to sit in the downstairs area both times we were there. There are keno TVs for us to play our keno and it's not too noisy when it's busy. Our server the first time (I believe his name was Coby) was just a delight. I was debating on trying the chili cheese dog and he brought back a small sample of the chili for me to try before ordering and he was very sweet and enjoyable for the whole experience. Our server the second time, an older gentlemen, was less enjoyable but maybe he was having a bad day because he was a little busy. We loved playing our keno here and have had really good luck here. We agreed it was our new keno spot. Food: The first time dining, I tried the coney dog with cheese. The dog and the chili themselves were delicious. There was jus FAR too much bread. My partner got the philly cheesesteak and said that was the same case for her. We both had to pull off most of the bread. But the flavor was there on both dishes. A slightly smaller hoagie bun (or even steaming the buns to order) would really help these two dishes. The second time dining, I decided I was going to get the coney dog again but ask for a regular bun. I very much had a "3 bears" moment. The small bun got too soggy with the chili. SO, next time, I am going to get the half pound falconey with a regular bun AND light chili. That should be just right. LOL. My partner had the side salad this time and fired, She loved the fries just like last time and said the salad was basic but good. No sad lettuce or gross vegetables. I also had their chilled bottles of rootbeer both times with a shot of whiskey. Refreshing and delicious. We want to come in on a Sunday to try out the steak special.

Definitely make some time for the live presentations they do every hour. We saw the evolution of helmets, defect or not defunct teams, and odd objects from football. These penetrations were only 20- minutes, but we learned a lot! Logistics: 1. Canton is 1-hr drive south of Cleveland. Allocate at least 2.5-3 hrs to do the museum and the presentations. We could have easily stayed another hour, but we ran out of time. There's also a football village around the hall of fame with restaurants and a Ferris wheel to explore, so you could easily downs a half day here. 2. Buy the combo ticket if you plan on doing both the rock and roll and nfl pro football hall of fame. It's $65 and will save you $10+ vs buying tickets individually. Highlights 1. Hall of fame busts were really breathtaking. I can't wait to come back in 20-years to see recent players in more familiar with 2. Exhibit in the latest Super Bowl winners (Philly Eagles) 3. Live presentations

A fan's dream , especially this fan of six plus decades-is to soak in everything about this beautiful and inspiring sport - from attending the Super Bowls to meeting the great players to getting to be part of the Hall of Fame festivities and being in the presence of greatness - 384 Hall of Fame legends. Goose bumps for life indeed! My dream came true as I got to visit and spend some great time in this epic institution and meet my heroes in person. The beautiful displays, the uniforms and helmets from 1925; the ability to design and make my own Super Bowl ring, the write ups about players and teams I did not know much about( 32 teams), the inspiring videos with that music, Steve Sabol's voice. On to comparing my scrawny bony arse 209 lb physique to those of these Greek Godesque superheroes. Then there is the fun and spunky staff that is a walking and talking encyclopedia of sports info. They love football and it is so fitting to have them be our hosts and guides. There is so much more. You need a good 7 hours to truly enjoy and take in all this magical place offers. Parking is $25 per car( cash only) and $200 for an RV. This is a must experience for every NFL fan stateside and also for our new fans in Europe and South America. Love the NFL!

Canton Palace Theatre - Listening to the historic organ before the show starts!

Canton Palace Theatre

I recently attended Wicked: For Good at the Canton Palace Theatre in Canton, Ohio, and…read moreunfortunately the experience was overshadowed by a situation that should never have been allowed to continue. Throughout nearly the entire movie, two girls (roughly between 9-13 years old) were loudly giggling and talking. At one point, someone from the theatre came in, told them to quiet down, and then left. The noise immediately resumed and continued for the rest of the film. This alone made it extremely difficult to enjoy what should have been a great movie experience. When the movie ended, the same two girls ran up and down the aisles screaming. I later learned they were either the children of, or under the supervision of, a theatre employee -- specifically the same person who briefly told them to be quiet earlier. They were also seated in a rear section where patrons are apparently not even allowed to sit. There were very few people in the theatre, which made the lack of enforcement and professionalism even more noticeable. If this is typical of how screenings are handled, it raises serious concerns about management and customer experience. I believe the audience deserved better intervention during the film, and frankly, an apology or compensation would be appropriate given how disruptive the situation was. The Canton Palace Theatre is a beautiful venue with a lot of potential, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I hope management takes this kind of situation seriously moving forward so guests can actually enjoy the movies they pay to see.

The ceiling of the theater shows a dark starry sky with clouds that rotates around, which is a super cool feature. The ushers were helpful pre-show. My biggest complaint is that the lobby is ridiculously small/crowded for the amount of people the theater accommodates.
