My experience with Lockhart Cadillac has been extremely disappointing. My certified Cadillac XT4 has had multiple major repairs, including at least two transmissions, suspension work, an ongoing rear-end issue causing abnormal tire wear and now we're having issues with Onstar, WiFi and dash functionality. What's worse is the lack of communication--missed callbacks, no clear updates, and I've had to chase information every step of the way. Now that the factory warranty is expired and the extended warranty that I purchased is in effect I've had no communication about rental coverage under my warranty so I'm paying out of pocket for Lyft and Uber. At this point, I don't feel like my concerns are being taken seriously. This is not what I expected from a certified vehicle or a Cadillac dealership. I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience with the service department at Lockhart Cadillac has been so consistently terrible that I feel obligated to warn others. I own a 2022 Cadillac that cost over $120,000, and in the past year alone, it has spent 96 days -- and counting -- in their shop across three separate visits. Every single time, I hear the exact same excuse: "We're waiting on parts." That was understandable in 2020. It is not acceptable in late 2025. Cadillac is somehow able to get all the parts they need to build brand-new vehicles, but according to this dealership, they can't get parts to fix the vehicles they've already sold to loyal customers. My most recent visit has been the worst of all. My car has been at Lockhart since October 23, 2025, and as of today, it is still not repaired. I've been given five different promised completion dates, and every one of them has passed with zero communication from the service department. I've had to call in myself for every update, only to hear the same story repeated over and over. The advisor assigned to my vehicle has given me multiple dates that never happened. There is absolutely no accountability, no transparency, and no urgency when it comes to customers who need their vehicle serviced. For a brand that markets "luxury service" and "premium ownership experience," this dealership delivers neither. I do not recommend this service department, and at this point, I cannot recommend Cadillac as a brand either. If you value communication, reliability, or timely repairs, look elsewhere. read more

I would not recommend this dealership. I bought a Cadillac Lyriq from them and the salesman was not transparent at all with current incentives and only after I found them by reading online did he divulge them. And when I asked to speak with a manager after purchasing the car and not receiving an incentive, the manger never returned my call. I then took my car for its first service yesterday and it took three hours for a tire rotation. Bad buying experience and bad service experience for a $75K car and a brand that markets themselves as luxury. Love the car so if I look to buy another Cadillac in the future I'll look to buy elsewhere in the state or out of state. read more

Words can't even describe how mad I am at Scott Dawson & Gerald Collins. Since 9AM I was trying to give a deposit and lock up a 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport out of state & over the phone, but unfortunately Gerald moved so slow that another buyer came in and grabbed the car while he took 7 hours to send me the information and paperwork. Every step in the process took 2 hours for a call back and I sat there contemplating going over him and calling a manager, but I stayed patient and respective, and it completely backfired on me. I was a ready, willing, and able buyer and he fell asleep at the wheel. I was so excited about this truck and the package that it offered. I blocked off my whole day to be attentive for this deal only to be told at 4:00 that it was "just sold". I do not recommend this dealership at all. TLDR -- My car was in the shop for 39 days, it was damaged while in their possession, and my total bill was over $750 when I was told it would be around $300. This was not my greatest experience ever with a car dealership/ service center, to say the least. I dropped my car off on 12.26.2025 for a used vehicle inspection and an oil change. I called about 1.5 weeks in and realized that due to staffing issues and the holidays, it had not been "taken back" yet for servicing -- no worries at all, this is understandable. Again after not hearing from them, I showed up at the dealership two weeks after dropping my car off in hopes of picking up my car after being told it was ready and my back seat was completely disassembled and not ready to be picked up. I paid my bill and requested a call from the service manager the following Monday. The management team was at a conference so instead I spoke with Amanda who was the only good interaction I had with this dealership. She was kind, understanding and offered me a $200 credit as my bill was $450 more than I had expected and due to lack of customer service and transparency. I called again on 01.28.2025 as I had still not heard anything yet and told them I was on my way to their dealership and I wished to speak with the Service Manager. I was able to speak with him and only during this conversation (about halfway through) I was informed that my car had been damaged while in their care. I was confused, to say the least, because, during my phone conversation with the service team just minutes before I arrived, they told me that my car was "not ready to be picked up as they were still waiting on parts and should be ready the next morning" -- my car was "ready" in terms of the items that I asked them to review/ complete, it just wasn't ready because it was damaged while they had it. Although I am unsure of how it was damaged due to the Service Manager stating he wasn't there when it happened, I was flummoxed to find out about this only after I spoke with the service manager. There was no call to inform me of the damage and they said it could have happened during that last snow event, but that was over 5 days prior. They should have called and informed me what had happened at the earliest possible time. After still not being able to pick up my car that day, I finally got the all-clear from the dealership to get my car and picked it up on February 2nd. Overall, I did not have a great experience with this service team. All I would have liked was clear communication and transparency about what was going on. read more

We have found they have consistantly provided reliable repairs. They have always been honest and reasonable to work with. Daryl Daniels and their service dept. have been proactive about looking for potential problems that we may not have known about, without steering us to work that was not necessary. This has often allowed us to get a potential mechanical problem resolved before it became a larger, more costly repair, and avoided likely break downs along the road. read more

Every time I walk in to this location for certified service, every employee treats me kindly and respectfully. As a woman, I get stressed going to most mechanics, and other dealers and shops tend to treat me like an idiot or ignore me. Literally stopped by a different dealer down the road on the same day and they were so rude to me, and then I walked in the door here and everyone was so patient and nice. How refreshing! Everyone is so respectful here, and don't try to upsell me on anything. I have also signed up for their oil change membership and it is well worth it if you put a lot of miles on your car! I live in California and had a CT5-V Blackwing on order twice from two different Dealerships in California and both were never confirmed by GM and that was a 3 year wait, so I began an online search nationwide. I saw 3 CT5-V Blackwings on the Lockhart Cadillac website in Fisher Indiana and called to speak with a salesperson. One was allocated and sold and 2 were available. I told my salesman I don't want any dealer add-ons and will pay MSRP. Offer was accepted. The dealership was straightforward and did not add any dealer add-ons. The also helped arrange shipping to California. Process was not perfect, however I am happy. They did not put the window sticker in the glovebox as I requested. I had to call and email dealership several times. Not a perfect experience but they have integrity stuck with the agreed deal and financing. I bought a Jeep Wrangler from Lockhart during the pandemic. Love the vehicle and the delivery during lock down. At the same time, I purchased an oil change/detail package. Had been through four of five oil changes, but had not had a chance to have the vehicle detailed. I did not understand quite how the package worked (user error on my part) so actually exceeded the time and mileage limit on the last oil change and detail. Instead of operating by the letter of the law, the folks at Lockhart honored the program and provided me with my final oil change and detail for FREE. Horrible customer service I am truly amazed at the lack of customer service and disrespect I received Saturday morning. I scheduled an oil change. I came in and was greeted, checked in and sent to the waiting lounge. A few minutes later a young man comes to get me, informing me my card was declined on Dec 2 when you were trying to auto renew my service plan. I explained I just renewed in March, 2024. He gets another young man. This young man tells me something about me being grandfathered. I'm still waiting on an explanation for why I need to pay again when the young lady who set me up told me I was good until March, 2025. Then I'm told they are not sure if it's $108 or $158. I said I will not give you my card and not sure what I'm being charged for. I'm not supposed to pay again until March,2025 and you apparently do not understand what grandfathered means. I can't be grandfathered and charged additional charges. I am also not responsible for your staff not setting my account up correctly. I asked the price for just an oil change. He responded $85 to which I said wow. So on top of I was not aware of auto-renewal, account being set up incorrectly, rude service folks, not aware of price increases. I am very upset and truly disappointed in Cadillac. Then to be told I'm either going to pay $85.00 or $158.00. How dare you! I use to feel like I could go there without my husband and not be taken advantage of. read more

I figured I had a bad battery and took it to the shop in Greenwood back on February 2021. There was some woman who checked me in who was rude as heck. No "Hi". No "Good morning". Just "You need something?". I told her I made an online appointment and that I think it is the battery. So an hour later, she calls my name in the waiting room, like she is my 4th grade teacher. (Yeah that happened). I was with my 13 year old son, so I just kept my composure. Then she told me it was $300+. I was like, "Weren't you supposed to come tell me it was bad before you installed it". She was like, "Yeah it was bad, but if you have a problem, we put your old one back on". Whoa! I was besides myself. Since I had my child I didn't want to drive with a bad battery, and I live in Indianapolis, so I wouldn't even know where to go for a battery in Greenwood. So I paid and asked for her boss's name and left. So that was Saturday. I called some guy who said he was a Lockhart. He said he would look into it and call me back. He called back a day later I think and said something about it being a miscommunication and that on my next visit I could get a free oil change and tire rotation. I was like sure, but are you going to put in some notes or email me so I can tell them? He was like, "No just tell them you spoke with me". Six months later I put in a request for that oil change and tire rotation. Guess what? No one would do it because they didn't have any documentation. I called the head office and no one could get a hold of him. So yeah. Great place. read more

I had their body shop paint and install a Lingenfelter Ram Air Hood. They are very busy but slipped me in quickly. Excellent job of fitting the hood, paint match was perfect considering it is a 2009 and dark red -- hard to match paint that color and that old, especially a hood. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, I got the car back freshly washed. The manager (Drew) and receptionist (Amanda) were great to work with. Dealer paint job and install, their prices were the same as any other body shop. read more

I leased a 2019 Cadillac XT5 wondering if a GM product would significantly depreciate in 3 years which it did. The contract began 8/19/19 and in spite of being told the vehicle would continue under warranty by the sales person, it would, in fact expire prior to lease end. After intense negotiation, they agreed to extend the warranty . I reached out about options for lease end and possibly turning in the vehicle 2 months early and no one even called me back. With less than 2 weeks left, no one has made any attempts to offer me a new or used vehicle to try to keep my business. I have had to do all the lease end work myself and GM financial came through for me when the dealership failed in every way. read more

My father-in-law passed a week ago and we needed to sell his car. He had been a loyal Lockhart Cadillac customer for 40 years, buying 2 new cars every few years. He was loyal to Lockhart due to good service, and Mrs. Lockhart had served with Him on corporate boards. When it came to selling his car with the personal relationship to the family and years of loyalty, we thought Lockhart would pay top value for his car. Unfortunately we learned both Penske and CarMax offered us nearly 10% more. Lockhart showed their true colors, no value for long term loyalty. No value for relationships. I have a 2019 XT5 which i've had since September of 18', i had my first experience at Lockhart when i needed oil change and car alignment after getting into all of indy's potholes. I took my car in and had excellent service. I thought it was just oil change and basic things and that is in line with expectations. I called in last week, my car was making sounds that concerned me but i have no time to take it in for long hours service during the week due to work. I called in, spoke to Rachel, who was very nice and considerate of my needs. She made sure i get the earliest appointment where i was able to have a lender car with me to go to work, and have my car done when i get off work. I came in today for my appointment at 7:45 worried that i would be late, had wonderful and professional service, everything was ready and quick. Multiple people were helping me out to make sure i leave on time in less than 15 minutes. My lender car was a brand new clean XT4 sport ready at the door for me, which i just loved as i drove it to work. Brian helped me through the differences between the two cars, and Tim got all my paperwork ready. I got a call by noon saying my car was ready, picked it up right after work and its driving as a brand new car. The reason for all these details is, i came into a service place frustrated about something i wasn't sure about. Yet, i was welcomed and treated with care and sincerity, it made me feel that i trust this place and want to go back again on anything i need. I am not a mechanic, but i was able to understand what was the problem by Tim's explanation both on the phone and in person. Thank you Lockhart for your great and respectful team. I bought a used car here a few years ago. They sold us an $8,000 lemon, knowing we lived 2 hours a way in another state and would have little recourse when the car (immediately) started having problems. When I contacted them, every person I talked to was dismissive. Acted like they bent over backwards to give us a great deal. Passed me around from one person to the next. One of their sales managers emphasized how they offer these "value" cars so that people "like me" can afford a vehicle from them. I even got a page long diatribe from one of the general managers explaining how great of a dealership they are, blah blah, and ended the email stating that I "probably won't like his response, but have a nice day." We ended up trading it in less than a year later after an endless amount of problems. The local dealership that inspected the car told us the front end had been wrecked at some point as the frame was bent, cracks etc. were found in engine compartment. I should clarify it had zero trade in value at that point; they basically took it off our hands and junked it. I would never buy a used vehicle from them again nor would I recommend it to anyone. They never once tried to make anything right. Rude, condescending, elitist attitudes. Unless you're buying a brand new vehicle, you do not matter as a customer. read more

My car was repaired here after an accident in 2018. I have had nothing but problems with parts literally falling off or bubbling up on the trim and tint peeling up that was done by them. The work is supposed to be under there 100 percent guarantee for the lifetime of the vehicle I have gotten the run around for over year on having these repairs made to correct what was done poorly to begin with and been given every excuse as to service managers quitting or being fired when I ask for status on when my vehicle can be fixed. When I advised I would pursue my legal rights I was told "do what you need to do". They are highly unprofessional and the work was horribly done I highly recommend that if your getting repairs made you look elsewhere for quality repairs and a company that stands by the work they do. read more

I had a bad experience last time I brought my car in to get serviced, not because of the work but because of the people. I decided to give it another chance because I'd rather take my car to a place that I feel knows Cadillacs. I made an appointment to have a check engine light looked at at 11:45. I assumed that because it was an appointment that it would be looked at at that time. When I pulled in I was told they would call me when it was checked. I was confused and he said they were extremely backed up so it probably wouldn't be looked at until much later. He said is someone coming to get you or are you gonna wait? Thank goodness I didn't wait! I got a call at 5:30 stating it was the end of the day and they didn't have time to get to it and that they would TRY and get to it tomorrow... The next day was Friday, at 2:00 I still had not heard anything and I needed my car for the weekend so I called and said I was coming to get it. I got no apology from the woman on the phone or effort to try to figure out what the hold up was. She said would you like to reschedule for a time that works BETTER FOR ME? I was baffled because the time I scheduled did work FOR ME, it didn't work for them. It's not like they had to take the engine apart, all they had was plug a machine in and get a code for why the light was on so I would know if it was something I needed to worry about. I realize my car is older (2013) and I realize they prefer to work on cars that were purchased there, as I was told last time I brought it there, when I spent $6,000. Why are they scheduling appointments if they are so behind?!? I guess in my mind you would want people to have a good experience at the service level (especially with customers with older cars) so they are more likely to buy their new car from you! I will not only not bring my car there to get serviced I will not buy my next car there which will be purchased this fall. One bad experience I can forgive, two bad experiences means you guys need work.. STOP MAKING APPOINTMENTS until you can keep them!! read more

This review is for the collision repair service. My husband has taken his Cadillac in for repairs twice already this year, but has received quality service from Lockhart both times. Both final charges met the original quotes. My favorite part was that they vacuumed out his car before he picked it up! It was such a pleasant surprise because his car is always so messy! I would have appreciated more communication since he had to call them to check in on updates after a couple days, but other than that, great work! read more

Pay a ton for extended warranty (tires, rims, etc) and "you should have gotten a mailer" regarding the change in the warranty. Absolutely no mailer. Each time I take my vehicle in for routine maintenance, even a simple oil change, the wait is no less than 2 hours. Never has someone come out to check on me and give me an update on my car. They just expect you to sit for 2+ hours. Looks like everyone else is always waiting ridiculously long as well, as I have seen multiple people slumped over in their chairs taking naps this time! There is absolutely NO reason a service appointment should ever take longer than an hour, especially when an appointment has always been made. First, don't pay the rip off of a "security fee". That's $300 for them to attach four stickers to a few body panels. Supposedly it is a theft deterrent, but I don't know any thieves that would be deterred by having to peel off for stickers the size of a dime. It's not like they have GPS tracking or anything, it's just a lousy sticker. Anyway, I went to buy a 2015 Lexus RX 350 at this dealership today. I was specifically told by an employee on the phone that I could pay with a card. I get all the way through the showing and agree on a price, and then I am told that I cannot pay with a card. So this dealership wasted about two hours of my wife and I's time, and now I will be without a car for another week or so while I wait to be paid again since I already made a payment to my American Express card for this specific transaction. I was told the Arbitary limit of $3000 that could be put on a card was a limit enforced by the owner, who just really didn't like people using cards. I even offered to use a debit card with a pin number if they were worried about chargebacks, and was still refused. Again, keep in mind that I was specifically told the opposite so they could get me in the door. Needless to say, I wholeheartedly recommend that you find another dealership to buy from. read more

I had an engine blow in a used vehicle that I had approximately a year. I tried x 3 plus to speak with someone. I was put through the run around causing a series of phone tag and messages. The man that was leaving messages was named Bob H. I guess he's the floor/sales manager. His last message to me was that there was nothing he could do to help me. Stated I had no warranty and I would have to pay for the repair out of pocket. Before I actually got that message from "Bob,", I had contacted someone in the service department to see if they could help me. I gave him the exact same information I gave Bob. He contacted me about an hour and 15 minutes before Bob left his message. The guy in the service department told me I had a full warranty. Since it was a Lincoln they took it to the Ford place across the street to have the repairs made. So, don't trust Bob, he apparently is in charge. I could have paid $4500. to 5000.00 out of pocket because of Bob. After a few months I finally calmed down enough to go in and explain what happened. Let them listen to the messages. They did nothing. They don't care. Just terrible customer service. read more
