How can you buy something without looking at it first? Do you buy a car without looking at it or test driving it first? These people will sell you anything from their website BUT they have almost nothing in the store to show you. In addition they are arrogant and rude and tend to blow you off. IF you do get their attention it is like they are doing you a favor. I honestly do not know how these people stay in business. IF you like to be treated like crap than this is the place for you. I was a previous customer having bought two handguns from them. They had them both in the store at that time. Two years later, I wanted to purchase a 22 cal semiauto CC handgun. They told me to go to their website and order and pay for it first. I told them that is NOT how I do business. I asked them if they ever bought a car without a test drive or even looking at it. They told me that was their policy. So I told them MY policy was to first hold the pistol to see if it feels right TO ME!. My emails went unanswered to add insult to injury. I am positive all these positive reviews are completely fake. My experience was the most negative I have ever endured. IF you like being ignored, insulted and treated like they can not be bothered to help and satisfy a paying customer than give your hard earned money to these ingrates. Some reviews crying about con 19 or pompous staff . most of the time they have to deal with guys wanting to debate with em . A week of recon on all avenues online and local . The only issue I found was $ 45 ship to store . DONT BY ONLINE and problem solved. I found staff to be very helpful and Heny to be very cool and knowledgeable . So go with one store I say . Lock n Load gun shop.....? I took a chance and dropped in to Lock N Load on Eastern to see if I could find something to buy as a birthday present to me yesterday?  Well I open the door and step inside, got a look from the guy behind the cash register and I was about to say "hi" when he just looked down and kept on with his business. No greeting at all, just a quick glance from him to see if I was a robber or something. There is guns laying all over the place behind the counter and all over the walls. Semi auto city and mostly the black plastic tactical guns. Nothing wrong with that, just saying. So there are like 5 guys working behind the counter and not a single one said a word to me, not "hi, are you looking for something in particular?" or even "do you need any help or want to see something?" I mean I am right there with money in my pocket and these guys are acting like I am invisible!  Well to rag on them even more, the back portion of the store is just full of gun boxes, you can even walk in that area. What a mess!  There are some guns on the wall that looked interesting, but some of the prices are flipped over and the same with the tags in the gun cabinet. I didn't even ask about anything because no one cares that I am a potential customer. After a few minutes I am out of there, what a way to run a business. LADIES BEWARE ! To make a long story short, myself and my husband are longtime responsible gun owners and own quite a few firearms from revolvers to ARs. I never owned an AK variant and when l found an Arsenal SAM7R on GunsAmerica, l bought it. This place, Lock N Load, was listed on GunsAmerica as an FFL holder to do transfers and being close to my house I choose them to do the transfer upon receiving the rifle. While on my way to the store to pick up the firearm, l asked my husband to call them to make sure they are open. Somehow they understood that is my husband's rifle and expected him to pick it up. When l showed up they refused to transfer it to me though all the paper work, payment and GunsAmerica account is in my name. They were willing to transfer it to my husband but not me. Am l the only woman that owns an AK type rifle? A few days later my husband came home (long haul truck driver) and we went to the store together. Indeed, my husband lost his temper and was ready to call the police because they were holding my property without any reason. They said that I'm buying the rifle for my husband not me and needs to be in his name. We've been married for over 34 years and everything we own is OURS not mine or his. My husband wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because some people do stupid things and offered to either buy a gun from them, do a background check and return the gun or simply have them do a FREE background check on him, just to prove them he is not a felon or other but after that they should proceed with my transfer. They refused and truth be told, that shows me that they are BIASED TOWARD WOMEN GUN OWNERS. The firearm is going back to the seller and I will get a different FFL holder to do the transfer. Lock N Load treated me like a second class citizen and giving them one star is way too much! I realize that a simple gun transfer doesn't make them a lot of money but getting me in their store could always lead to future bigger sales. Needless to say, my money goes where I go and one thing's for sure, I WILL NEVER GO BACK to Lock N Load. Well, l guess you reap what you sow. read more

Hit or miss with the customer service. A couple years back this place was one of my favorite places to shop, but now it's really one of the last places I'll stop by for my LGS needs (if at all.) Only a couple of employees are pleasant and attentive during my last couple of visits, while others just flat out ignored me while talking with each other. One of them also told me I couldn't be anywhere in camera range of the store for private party gun sales in the parking lot because of liability. I understand and accept this reasoning but it contradicted another employee saying he was fine with it and would even keep an eye out for me. Oh well. Just keep this in mind if you plan on meeting someone here for a private sale. They do have a very well stocked inventory and nice selection of black rifles. It's so well stocked in fact, that the showroom floor is filled with boxes near the back. If you need something AR related, chances are that they will have it. It's too bad because I used to enjoy making this a place part of my routine when looking for something specific locally. I'll just stick with the west side from here on out. With the abundance of firearms retailers in this city, it truly takes that something extra to earn my repeated business. Sadly I doubt I'll have a reason to make the drive here anymore. read more

We came in to buy my first gun today, so I do not have a ton of gun knowledge, but the guys at lock n load were super nice and helpful. They answered all my questions, even if my questions may have sounded stupid. Kevin helped us the first time we came in and the gun I wanted to look at was sold out so he texted us as soon as it came in so we could come and look at it. Mark helped us on the day we bought the gun and was super nice and helpful as well, even while they were super busy on a Saturday afternoon. This place gets a 5/5 from me because it has the largest gun selection I have seen out of all the stores I have been to in the Vegas/ Henderson area, and also because of the excellent service. Cannot give these guys a single star. Let's start by saying we have purchased firearms from Lock N Load in the past with satisfactory results. We went to the store on Black Friday and we were the first ones through the door. Items in their advertisement were "Sold Out". This is simply unacceptable as these "advertised" items simply did not exist. There are many other professional Gun Shops in this city that truly take care of their customers and are concerned about their return business. Lock N Load simply banks on the volume of customers due to their location and does NOTHING to insure that customers be loyal and return to their establishment. This shop is super close to my house and I've visited this shop 3 times and heres what I've experienced. First time i came with my gf and she knew what she wanted already so it was a quick transaction, no complaints plus the shop was fairly empty that day. About 2 weeks later i came back by myself but this time the shop had 2 other customers. There were 5 staff there behind the counter. 2 of the staff were chatting with 1 customer about reloading ammo. 1 staff was legitimately helping a customer showing him guns etc. One older staff looked like he was doing inventory or something with a clipboard and constantly writing and doing paperwork. The last staff was on the phone running around, not sure what he was doing. I remembered these details because i waited there 30-40 minutes before one of them finally made eye contact with me and asked if i needed help. I asked if i could see the gun that i was interested, he said they are sold out so i left after waiting there for 30 minutes. I ended up buying that gun from black rifle armory for cheaper the following week. My third visit was also by myself. I knew what i wanted so i just wanted to see it and then i asked if they would price match another local shop that has the same gun for $50 less. They declined without giving a real reason. My sales guy told me that somebody bought like 4 AR rifles from them plus 4 of the same gun that i was interested so i guess what he wanted to say was that they dont care because i was only buying one gun. I left right away after that, the sales guy didnt seem like he knew anything about the gun i was interested anyway. I was looking at sig p226 and p229 legion and he told me that sig doesnt make a p229 legion so course i had to correct him. Anyway, so i ended up buying the gun and an AR15 part from discouny gun resource 30 minutes away. Probably wont be back to lock n load ever again. read more

Started off good, I've had friends purchase some firearms through them. Although now pretty much every visit you don't get helped even if you ask for it. Ask to see anything and they act as if you've asked them to move a mountain. Staff pretty much looks at you sideways the whole time if you browse. And most of what they have is definitely marked up more than other places. All of my friends switched to different stores after their bad experiences. There's better, more professional stores out there. read more

My husband, my son and myself all went in looking for new handguns and the customer service was awful! The salesman wasn't friendly at all and his information was incorrect. I have been coming to Lock n Load for years and with great reason. Lock n Load is a family owned business that has been around for years. I shoot frequently and am always on the hunt for the latest and greatest. Lock n Load always has what I need, and if they don't, they are more than happy to put it in order. The storefront is always clean, orderly and the amount of weapons and accessories they have there is awesome! I've never seen a wider selection of Glocks, and other brands in general, anywhere else. ZEV, Sig, M&P, Colt, etc. you name it, really. Various types of Desert Eagles, too. AR's, shot guns, etc. I also REALLY appreciate that I can go into this store and not be treated like as though I am just "some dumb woman". All of the employees have been courteous and respectful. Even the Asian guy that everyone seems to have complained about- he's really a nice guy, he is just very direct and has a super dry sense of humor. Kevin, Leo, and the managers that can be found there on any given day (Andrew & Karla) have been great to us over the years. I'm happy to be able to support this small, locally owned and operated, family business and will continue to do so in the future. read more

I got an email this morning from a guy encouraging me to revise my (see below) previous poor review of LnL. He claimed to have no dog in the fight but felt my review was unfair enough to take the time to send me an email trying to persuade me to revise my (below) review. I guess he expected me to base my review on his experience with LnL rather then my own, now that just wouldn't be fair. Also, I was a fan of LnL until I actually visited the store. I followed them on Facebook and visited their page daily, I have since deselected the like feature and no longer visit their page. They also seemed okay when I chatted with them at the gun show. However all that changed after one visit to the store, that's what lousy service and ignoring emails can do, we all learned cause and affect by the 3rd grade folks. In their defense they finally answered my email after I left the review claiming it had gone to their spam box. They did apologize for the lousy service and said it was their policy to hand any firearm over to a customer who shows interest in a particular gun. However, they didn't offer any discounts or an incentive for the lousy service and wasting my time on the first visit and even after indicating my intent to purchase maybe three firearms. All this and someone wants me to change my original (below) review to complimentary??? I wish I could leave zero stars!!! ORIGINAL REVIEW There's been a lot of bashing (and some defending) of this shop on backpage so I decided to see for myself and pay LnL a visit. Instead of writing a review I will instead copy/paste a copy of the email I sent them after my visit which they never responded to. I'm not mad and this isn't a complaint but I came to the store last night to look at the CAI C93 and had a question about the warranty, the salesman said the warranty starts at the time of purchase but I heard (youtube) it actually begins from the day CAI ships the firearm. I didn't get to see anything in writing or even handle the firearm so I just left to go home and do more research. I found this (below) on the CAI website, I'm also interested in perhaps the CAI AK-74 and the GLOCK 22 and was thinking if I purchased all three then perhaps we could make a deal. However I did notice your GLOCK'S are considerably more than other shops by about $100. NEW WARRANTY POLICY 2) All firearms/receivers sold as "new", or manufactured/assembled by Century have (1) year repair/ replacement warranty from the day the firearm/receiver was shipped from Century's warehouse to the customer, unless noted otherwise. Repairs or replacements are determined at Century's discretion. The (1) year period does not start over if a firearm is repaired and reshipped. read more

Whether you are knowledgeable or a total noob, they won't blow smoke up your @$$, spread "gun store" myths, or try and sell you on something that won't do what you need it to. I've been to every store in the valley, good and bad. They are friendly, helpful, and won't talk down to you. If you are woman looking for self defense, they won't just shove some .32 cal pink toy in your hand and tell you to buy this, they will assess your skill needs and desires. Want an AR, Lock N Load isn't in the business of pawning off some inferior rifle, with crappy Chinese parts and charging you top dollar. Hammer forged, chrome lined, "F" height, with feed ramps and proper staking all the way. Don't know what that means? No worries, they will show you. They have the fun novelty stuff too, zombie targets, mare's legs, morale patches, and more. Don't see what you need? Ask them, they can usually order it. This is a store by shooters for shooters. They don't treat CCW like criminals. They don't have piles of counterfeit stuff covering their counter tops like some "survival" stores. This place is in "Prestige Mode", always. read more

I've purchased a few things here... Magpul Dynamics "Art of the Carbine", a new M-4 stock and several P-mags. I also completed my paperwork and tax stamp for a Noveske SBR through them, I went the trust route. These guys are typically way friendlier than your run of the mill Vegas asshole gun shop and way more knowledgeable! It's very small inside and the selection of products is a little limited so call ahead and ask them to order whatever you need if they don't have it in stock. I don't know all the details but I know they'll build you an AR-15 to your spec and they do quite a bit of work in their shop on AKs. HDI has a positive reputation on several internet firearms forums as well which speaks well for them. read more

Most gun stores are staffed with douche bag salesmen who make you feel uncomfortable by talking over you and flashing the 4 guns they are wearing on their body. Not here!!! The guys were really friendly and helpful. In fact, I went in to buy a new small concealed weapon to replace the Ruger LCP I had. I liked the new one because it had a laser built into it. They actually convinced me to stay with my LCP and suggested I buy a Crimson Trace for it. I was extremely impressed as they could have easily sold me this gun and made a whole lot more money. At Lock & Load, I went in for a question regarding gun registration in Nevada and I got my straight forward no BS answer and extra advice. The sales associate, Shannon, should teach a class on customer service. He was very attentive & he also gave additional information regarding our concerns. We've been to a couple other gun stores with the same question and was told to go to a NRA website or police station...either they didn't have time for a non-buying customer or didn't care about my question. Yeah maybe I wan't asking the right questions and they knew that I was a rookie regarding guns, but that was shotty service. Lock & Load is A+ service and store. I went into LnL after getting a recommendation from my friend whom is a female correctional officer in Vegas. I am a rookie when it comes to guns so this was a new experience for me. I've never owned a gun and have spent minimal time shooting in the past. I went in to look at revolvers and pistols as well as ask questions about what type of gun would suit my needs best. The salesman was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He showed me a few guns and explained their functions. Other salesmen nearby chimed in with very helpful tidbits as well. I didn't purchase a gun that day as the salesman gave me very good advice and said that I should go to a shooting range and try out different guns before making up my mind on which gun to purchase. I really appreciated his attention to my needs and recognizing my dilemma on which gun would best suit me. I will be returning to LnL to purchase a handgun very soon. I purchased my first AR today, and after doing COUNTLESS hours of research on the internet, and asking every person in town, I ended up at lock n load. Its close to where I work, so I happen to stop in. However lets go over what most people care about. Before I even mention anything about the exceptional customer service provided. Here is what I bought. AR-15 Daniel Defense V7/LW Final price out the door 1175.00 Including: 1 Magazine, Case, Vertical Hand Grip. Don't try finding it online, I did, that is the absolute lowest price online or local. (11-29-2013) Even adding in the tax, the total comes out to 1273.00. Online the best price I was able to find on a auction site was. 1217.00Gun+25FFL Transfer Fee+25-35 Shipping+25 Background=1292/1302.00 Then I needed Ammo, guess how much they charged. 0.44 Cents a Round NATO 5.56 (Not .223), Tax Included in price paid.! (Quality Ammo as well) Best price on line 0.47 Cents a round and waiting 3-5 business days for ground shipping. Conclusion On Products, Find a place that can give a better price, I promise you won't. I drove around town, called around town, looked online for countless hours. Trust me, I will be a returning loyal customer! Now lets go over the customer service! First, when you get there ask for Andrew! Guy is insanely smart about every detail on any gun. I spent 4 hours there with in in the shop, during one of the busiest shopping days black Friday, while the store was packed, he devoted him time to me. Answered every question that I had, which there was many of them. Showed me how to exactly clean the gun, on every single part, and let me tare it down, and put it back together. Several times, until I was comfortable with it. Then after we got done learning the basics of the gun. He then broke it down again, fully lube it up, showed me where to lube it up, and put it back together where it was ready to fire at the range. He used greaser, lube and all was at no cost either. The service was just 2nd to none. There was no rush, no question was stupid, not at any time did I feel like I was bothering him, or making it an inconvenience! He took his time to answer any question. I could go on and on all night about his service, but the only way to sum it up. The guy is a freaking rockstar in guns! And has had some of the best training! If you go to Lock n Load, ask for Andrew, he works 8 days a week. (Ya, he's there that much) read more
