Thirst-quenching water. This might seem redundant, but not all water hits the spot like this does. It is available for self-serve during the breakfast buffet. The glasses are on the small side, but you can refill!

Always a great experience! Food and service are fantastic. Great wine selection. Ideal for date nights.

    Bananamisu. This was SO good.

Amazing Italian food in an unexpected location. Locanda is located next to the Holiday Inn (they're technically attached, though not affiliated), and the interior is both elegant and welcoming. It has a gilded quality, but also makes you feel like you're at grandma's house- the endearing, Italian grandmother's house who has tchotchkes in cabinets (here, they are displayed in wall niches - little wooden spoons and small oil paintings. I loved looking at these!) I went before COVID hit, but I loved everything about the dishes I tried - also a fan of their alcohol free drink list! (They offer both cocktails and mocktails.) My fav cocktail was the Mediterranean Mule - black fig infused vodka, elderflower, lime, ginger beer, candied ginger- and my fav mocktail was the Nero Minded- Seedlip Garden, lemon, black currant, Peychaud's bitters. For food: the Truffled Mushroom and Mascarpone Polenta in a jar might have been my absolute favorite- I offered to sacrifice my first born child for this. (I was joking...mostly.) But you can't go wrong with anything. The pastas are handmade: the Acorn Squash Agnolotti, Crispy Sage, Parmesan, and Hazelnut-Brown Butter is worth licking your plate for in public. The Shaved Brussel Spout Salad, Candied Lemon Peel, Pecorino and Pistachio looks a bit like coleslaw but is surprising in delivery: it's light, citrusy and sweet--a great achievement. The Fontina Stuffed Meatballs in Sugo are just like Grandma made them. I don't even have an Italian grandmother, but I could conjure her just by taking a bite into this meatball filled with melted cheese. The Bananamisu stole my heart, but the pistachio cake was also nice. I also recommend the Bomboloni Di Locanda, Italian-style donuts served with Nutella. I was expecting something of a beignet or doughboy, but these were so much better! Go give them some love, especially if you're headed to south county for a beach day.

So this is a repost to include a email I received from yelp on removing my original post. Hello, We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed the review and photos you posted to Locanda because it didn't look like your content depicted an experience at this location. To learn more, check out our Content Guidelines (https://www.yelp.com/guidelines). Flagged Content: Went on a Sunday night around 7pm Place was pretty empty just a couple of tables occupied and about 7 at the bar. So we walked in and the waitress/hostess asked us if we had reservations. To which I was just about to say to her did you really just asked if we have a reservation? And do I really need a reservation? And she made us wait while she gets a table setup for us. Really! There are nothing more obvious to me than 15 empty tables that was set already and she could've just guided us to. So anyway we ordered our drinks and then the apps. The grilled octopus salad Not much to it, it was basically 2 tentacles cut in 6 small pieces with shaved fennel and carrots. Not worth the $18.00 And the Pt Judith Calamari which is fried with the cherry peppers so you're getting 1/3 cherry peppers and 2/3 calamari served in a sardine can. Wife had the monkfish which she said was spicy. Daughter had the seared salmon and I had the Orecchiette with sausage and rabbi pesto I found the dishes to be okay nothing special, Definitely nothing spectacular to give this restaurant some of the stellar reviews. I don't even think the prices are in line with the final product, it's definitely not worthy the price for the portions. Regards, Yelp Support San Francisco, California My response: I beg the differ. The review and the photos is for this location and I did check in on the app after I ordered my meals. Pictures of the dishes was taken right after they were set down on the table. I have the dinner receipt to back my visit there and every dish that I posted. So if this is how you want to to censor my review, I have proof that it was indeed a legitimate and actual post. Two of the folks had the Shrimp Scampi and they loved it. I had the Cavatelli Bolognese. It was awesome. The youngster in our party had the typical Pasta & Meatballs and had no complaints (she ate the whole dish). The last person had the House Salad topped with the Salmon. We all had desserts. What was incredible was the Tiramisu which is made at the restaurant. Alone this could be split 4 ways if you wanted. Anyway, Arturo Joe's is not your typical Italian restaurant. It is definitely a step above and the prices are reasonable. Also, the restaurant owner/ manager stopped by our table to see how things were going and if there was anything else we needed. The service was great even though they seemed to be extremely busy with limited staff. You have got to tr4y this place if you are in the area. I could be tempted to make the two-hour drive from my house just to have another meal at this restaurant. Buon Appetit!

I don't have ripled seats in my home, why should I pay to sit on them? Time for a spruce up. The service and the bread were very good. The warm baby spinach salad was delicious and remains one of my favorites. The big disappointment was the chicken Gallucci. The 2 tiny pieces of chicken were thin and leathery and tasted like they were previously frozen. There were some nice mushrooms in the dish but the tasteless marsala cream sauce (which was not creamy at all) and the hard gluey pasta made that dish a one and done. Sad to say but the inconsistency makes me not want to return.

My experience with PVD Pizza Kingston was not good. My friend and I decided to call in a delivery…read moreorder, we got the house salad, mozzarella sticks and a small Margherita pizza. To start, upon ordering the worker did not ask us whether we would like to pay over the phone or with cash and did not confirm the phone number she had written down to call us back. So as a 45 minute wait turned into a hour I called PVD and the man seemed a bit annoyed claiming he had been calling us to pay. Okay... so we pay and they say they will send the next driver. Another thirty minutes pass and I realize they definitely have the wrong number written down for callback. So I call them again and get put on wait for five minutes listening to the worker talk causally to other people. The worker seemed to be in a daze and was confused, she claimed she knew what the problem was and then left for another period of time returning with no answer. She said she could get our food right to us and when I asked if the food would be cold she said they could remake it and get fresh food to us in thirty minutes max. Well, upon giving them the right phone number five minutes later we get a call, it is another worker saying he is leaving right now with our food (they just warmed it). So instead of making fresh food for us they gave us hour old lukewarm food. This was true, as upon receiving the food I was greatly disappointed. The mozzarella sticks were again, lukewarm and tasted soggy due to the reheat. The pizza was also, lukewarm and there was not enough sauce, salt or toppings. Finally, the salad was okay, hard to mess up. This place was not worth the hour and thirty minute wait for mediocre un fresh food. Management/the workers seem to be confused and are unhelpful for the most part. I am really disappointed in this place and I will not be ordering here again.

I took my order to-go, but the clean, bright dining room with music playing makes it a comfortable spot if you decide to dine in. I went with the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was excellent. Perfect amount of chicken, cheese, and BBQ sauce. It leans a little toward a bar-pie style. I went in on a Monday night and they were pretty busy. However, the greeted me and took my order quickly. My choices for the competition were their margherita or the bbq chicken. I went with the bbq chicken. I sat and waited for about 20 mins (a reasonable wait for a pizza on a busy night). I was the only customer at the few tables they have - take out being the popular option on this night. I got the pizza home and it was very good. Plenty of chicken and a nice bbq sauce that wasn't overpowering. The crust was pretty good. All in all, a pretty good option in the South County area. (It's should be noted that they have a lot of specialty pizza options. If you are looking for something a bit more adventurous that and cheese and pepperoni pizza, Kingston Pizza may be what you are looking for.
