Just ordered a "couch potato" pizza from Kingston pizza using DoorDash and everything was good expect for the fact that the dough was raw on my "couch" potato pizza.

    Burnt Calzone

Last night living in Bonnet Shores. My calzone and my boyfriend's was burnt to the crisp. Disappointed to say the least.

    Missing more than 3 Toppings

I'd like to start this review off by saying I'm no "Dined here Once, it was Horrible" I am a long time customer of Kingston Pizza and have watched the Quality, Care & Customer Service Depreciate tremendously in the recent years. The Pizza is not Edible from Here, wrong toppings. Often overcooked. Save your Money and dine elsewhere.

Kinda gross pizza. Pasta and meatballs were yuck too. Slow service. If you are over 25, you don't want this.

The complementary bread was warm and delicious...it came with a nice olive oil dip. We got two glasses of the Simi Valley Cab and they were delicious and robust. Great choice for a red wine. I ordered the clam spaghetti and my husband got the Chicken Rossini. The pasta was very salty...probably the saltiest dish I have had in years...I did not send it back, I just downed two full glasses of water with my meal. My husband's chicken dish was large and good tasting, but also a bit salty...not as much as my pasta dish, but salty. It's easy to add a bit of salt to a dish, but it's really hard to take it out. Based on how salty the food was, I would not be coming back here anytime soon.

We usually order a special because they're so good. I wish they would bring back the pumpkin ravioli app in the fall (they had this a few seasons back and did it bring it back after but it was my favorite dish they served there besides the short rib ravioli special). The short rib ravioli special is AMAZING. We also love their strawberry romana dessert. Their drinks are always good. The service is consistently good, and the owners seem to take pride in their restaurant.

Escorted into the bar area, we chose a Counter style booth right next to the wood-burning stove. I found the additional warmth & cozy surroundings to be just terrific. That night, there was a jazz trio playing, and it added a real sense of flare to the place. My guest and I shared eggplant fries that were lightly coated & crisp absolutely delicious! For dinner he ordered a Caesar salad and lasagna and devoured every bit. I enjoyed the braised beef short ribs, which were tender, served with a rich velvety sauce & mashed potatoes. We added a side of roasted Brussel sprouts that were yummy! (though a bit over salted) Crispy cannolis with homemade ricotta filling were taken home to spoil our kiddos! I think I'm going to add it to my calamari now! The kids chicken cutlet meal with fresh cut fries were amazing! The three of us ate the fries and still took the rest to go. Chicken cutlet was thin, crispy and moist inside. We always get the same pizzas wherever we go. Naturally, it makes comparing different restaurants on a good baseline. We got a large NY style (thin crust) pepperoni with half sausage. I'm not a huge sausage fan but my boys are. However, this crumbled sausage was delicious. The pizza is put into a wood fire pizza oven, crust was perfect; thin and cooked well but not burnt. The undercarriage held its shape with a nice bite and crunch! I had to finish off the meal with a Nutella pizza and I have zero regrets. A thin pizza crust with decadent Nutella spread all over it and sprinkled with crushed hazelnuts ended the meal perfectly. Ambiance and decor is modern and beautiful, family friendly and the staff is fantastic! I can't wait to go back and try other types of pizza. They offer Neapolitan, Grandma's and NY; not to mention other foods as well. Ciao!

What a cute, cozy, delectable place. We are at a conference looking for something different for…read moredinner that we haven't tried (this our 4th year in a row for this conference side note-we love the east coast). We went on a Thursday evening and street parking was easy to find. Service was great! Here is what we had: 1. Drinks: EASY TIGER- coconut rum, overproof rum, horchata, amontillado, sherry, lime, aromatic bitters. BLOOD, SWEAT, & ROSEMARY (mocktail)- blood orange, lemon, rosemary, soda water. My boyfriend had the easy tiger and found it more tropical tasting than horchata but still liked it. I had the mocktail, which was great! Refreshing drink. Just nice they offer mocktails and tasty ones too! 2. Raw bar: gotta have oysters while in the east coast right? They were from Jamestown and of course yummy. They had a mignonette which was good but since the oysters were so good not needed but a yummy addition option 3. Shared plates/appetizers: CHARRED OCTOPUS- Castlevetrano olive & cannellini bean, frisee, shaved red onion, piri piri, EVOO. This was one of my favorite appetizers. We try octopus everywhere and have had lots of overcooked ones. This was not that! It was soft, buttery and easy to cut and not rubbery. The tail was crispy and yummy. The char was perfect and flavor was on point. PAN ROASTED SUNCHOKES- herbed ricotta, hazelnut, chervil, Calabrian compound butter. What a tasty spin on the sunchokes. I love sunchokes and appreciate a great presentation and different ways to have it. 3. Entrees/Mains: BRANDT FARM 14 OZ RIBEYE- crispy potatoes, onion jam, bravas sauce, haricot vert. My least favorite dish of the night but doesn't mean I have love everything. I still appreciate a really good restaurant and concept. I know this is not a streak house so I understand not being the best steak. It was a bit of a tough steak, but the cooking temp (medium rare) was made to perfection and flavor was simple but perfect (I love love a simple steak without all the extras). The sauce was my least favorite of the dish and could definitely do without. The potatoes and veggies were good except it was somewhat less tasty with the sauce. We made our own surf and turf and had their special for the day. HALIBUT- not sure what was all in for the specifics but this was a winner. The fish was charred yet the moisture was preserved and tasty! Loved the flavoring and sauce. All mixed harmoniously. Dessert: BASQUE CHEESECAKE-fresh whipped cream, brown butter salted caramel, strawberry. We had a hard time deciding between the pistachio tiramisu and the cheesecake. I'm sure both are tasty. I like my cheesecakes more simple and asked for this without whipped cream and strawberry. The consistency of the cheesecake was great! Taste was point on. Although I don't care for caramel with it I tried the caramel and mmmmmm. Cheesecake was a great way to end. Overall fantastic experience. Our waitress was lovely. Staff was wonderful. Food was delicious. The ambiance was cozy and cute. If you are in the area recommend coming here for a nice dinner.

I am sold ... while the atmosphere wasn't my favourite, the food here is as good as any restaurant…read morein Rhode Island I've eaten in. The menu here seems very Spain and Italy centered ... maybe more so Spanish. I was thrilled to find Potatoes Bravas on the menu ... as a frequent traveler to Spain, this is one of my favourite simple dishes. This might be among my favourite versions that I've tasted, which is saying a lot! We also had the Bouilliabase ... quite a heavy dish loaded with octopus, muscles, clams, shrimp and a small piece of cod. The only complaint I've have about this is that it was an absolute salt beast ... both in taste and the fact I could not drink enough water after having this. Overall, I am not sure I'd order it again but am glad I tried it and two people could easily share this. The salad with salmon was fantastic ... a nice, thick piece of salmon cooked perfectly and the salad was also fantastic ... dressed well and very flavourful. We would order this again for sure. We also had the pizza, which was alright but we'd probably stick more towards the entrees and less towards the pizza when we come back. The basque cheesecake for dessert was tasty but way too small a piece for $12. When in San Sebastian, traditional basque cheesecake was much different tasting and a bigger portion. The wait staff and front of house was amazing. I don't think I've had a better waitress anywhere. Great with suggestions and not overbearing while being helpful. The only knock about this place is the lighting is way too bright. There isn't much atmosphere for romance ... the lights would be perfect if they were 25 - 30% dimmer. Other than that, it's very clean and fresh feeling. There is a gas fireplace, a big bar and two rooms ... one of which faces an open concept kitchen. Both are too bright ... but the room in the front with the booths would be my choice if I had to pick. Overall, this is our favourite of the Newport Restaurant Group restaurants from a food perspective. They can be hit or miss but this place is worth coming back to. Sure, Coast Guard House is right next door with water views ... but it can't come close to matching the food quality and menu variety here. I can see why it's so highly rated.

She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

Every time we come here the service is excellent and the food is amazing. This is what we come for right? Outstanding food and service! This year was no different than the other years and I love how the menu continues to evolve and change and everything that comes to life from the menu to the table is well thought out and bursting with harmonious blends of flavor. The presentation is gorgeous too! Plating is also important and they nail it! Okay let's gooooo! Come join our dining experience! We tried a bit of everything! We loved every bit of it. I'll mention my faves but that doesn't take away how hard it was to choose a fave! Everything was DELICIOUS ! Raw bar: Jamestown oysters . We had 10. We can't get enough east coast oysters. We live in the west side and I cannot say enough how much better oysters are on east coast! Slurp ! Mmm! Snacks: 1. Shartner's Farm Carrots: pea green pesto, pine nut, n'duja . If you're a meat, potato and pasta person and try to avoid your veggies, don't do that here. GET IT! It's such a great melody of textures and flavors that pair well. It doesn't feel like you are eating carrots and regardless it's a very dressed up bougie delicious carrot plate ! Mmmm . One of my faves out of the snacks. 2. Narragansett Creamery Burrata: green strawberry, speck, basil. Creamy, vibrant and just delicious Pasta: only had room in our tummies for 1 but every year we try different pastas and never disappoints. This year no exception. Maltagliati- hopkins southdowns lamb sugo, swiss chard, harissa, umbrian chickpea. Excellent! Pasta was perfect texture and consistency!! Little touch of spice from harissa which I loved (not overpowering). The Swiss chard was cooked to a crispy texture which I loved. I was a bit nervous about the lamb because it really can vary from place to place. However, I should have known better being from here they cooked/braised it to perfection: melt in your mouth type of soft and no weird or gamey taste. Definitely delicious pasta I recommend. Plates: 1. Duck Leg Confit- japanese turnip, spigariello kale, huckleberry conserva, duck jus. Personally my faves of the two plates but both delicious. The crispy skin from the duck and tender flavorful duck meat was just to die for. Loooooved. Plus the turnips and the amazing huckleberry conserva! Thinking about it makes my mouth water. So so good. 2. Beef Short Rib-swiss chard erbazzone, sunchoke, hazelnut. Loved it. Tasty as expected. Great flavor and tender. Dessert: 1. Olive Oil Cake- strawberry, rosé, lime curd, basil gelato. Wow! Oh wow! I'm so happy this time around they have some cake options. I love olive oil cake and now to pair with a basil gelato sounds insane right? Holy cow! Soooo good! Not what I was expecting. Strawberry, rose, lime and basil gelato flavor all work well together in this dessert. My fave dessert of the night! TRY IT! 2. Cookies N' cream: narragansett creamery ricotta, chocolate biscotti- yummy! Tasted like an elevated cookies and cream ! We loved our experience! Hopefully when you visit here, you can enjoy it as much as we do year after year. I absolutely love this place.
