Stopped in here dinner while passing through the area, not looking for anything fancy, just a meal and to get back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The menu offered a lot of choices. Both our meals -- Southern Fried Chicken and Glazed Salmon -- were absolutely delicious. The mint iced tea was great. The service was EXCEPTIONAL -- fast and friendly, and our server went out of her way to ensure that we had a pleasant experience. And our food came out lightning fast. We ate and were back on the road in no time. The next time I'm passing through Cypress, I'll definitely be stopping back here for a meal. read more

This was one of the best breakfasts' I have ever had. Not only was the food fresh, priced well, and generous servings... but the service team was one of the best I have ever experienced. From the hostess giving us our preferred table, to our waiter Felix being patient and always checking in, but not annoyingly so, and bringing things before we even asked, to the food runner having a personality and joking with us while delivering our food. Even other waitstaff would take empty plates or glasses away from the table as they passed. The ambience is great. The perfect place in Cypress if you want to have the perfect meal. To start the service was good. They were attentive. But that's where it ends. None of our food came out hot. Luke warm at best. The burger was the only thing that was decent. Our plates looked like they just sat in the window too long. Looked wilted and drab. We ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert. It wasn't warm at all and was dry and had no molten chocolate lava. I don't think we will be coming back. read more

I went in today and had a server named Juan Z he was an amazing server! The food there was incredible I enjoyed every single bite out of it and I would gladly come back to eat here and bring family with me. The ambiance was good I enjoyed spending time here it was relaxing I enjoyed every moment I was in there, Juan Z would come up to check if everything was good, if I needed anything great server. I had lunch at local for the first time this morning I absolutely loved the atmosphere very bright and family orientated. I wanted to express how amazing the staff was they we're very nice and polite. The hostess Angel was very helpful we came in to a bit of a wait but she was quick and kind with seating us. My server Felix was amazing very quick and efficient and the manager Miller came by and made sure we were enjoying our stay. I get food here often. Sometimes take out sometimes eat in. The meal is somewhat hit and miss. The Brussel sprout pizza is top notch as is the Brussel sprout salad. The chicken fried chicken is great unless it gets overcooked. The southwest chicken wrap is a winner every time. Basil gimlet and espresso martinis are on point!! I went here for my dad's birthday and I must say that this is a nice concept to have in the suburbs. Its nicely lit and has a nice atmosphere. There's a few tvs showing sports on the walls. The staff was really kind and attentive and the owner even stopped by to wish my dad a happy birthday and he got to have some dessert on the house. It's mostly American food with some subtle spices from the Mediterranean. We had some crab cakes and brussels sprouts for appetizers. The crab cakes were moist and delicious and the spicy sauce they had served us with it was really tasty. The sprouts were nicely caramelized and crunchy and it is typical of most places that serve roasted brussels sprouts. I ordered the combination kabob plate. It is served with mixed grilled vegetables and rice and a yogurt dill cucumber sauce and some pita bread. The beef was really tender and the chicken was fine but I think one of my pieces were a little undercooked. The dish was still good otherwise. For dessert we had New York Cheesecake and it is served with a raspberry sauce and it was quite delicious. I would like to try to stop for their lunch one day. read more

Local table is our neighborhood restaurant in Bridgeland , we love the food and service there. We have been going there since it opened. Unfortunately, we have recently noticed on the last couple of visits that the quantity has become very small. We usually order the jalapeño hummus as our appetizer and the portion is now half. Also, the chicken portions and overall amounts are very small. The staff is so friendly and the Manager Bria is so attentive not to mention Maria and a few other waiters/waitresses. I really wish this wasn't the reason why I stop going there as we are regulars for lunch and dinner. read more

Alex was my waitress and she was very attentive to me and my pup and even brought her a napkin and straw, which of course made me laugh. Stephanie brought my pup a pup cup so got bonus points. We sat outside on the patio under an umbrella and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I ordered a water, tea, glass of Chardonnay and the BBQ pineapple pizza. 10/10. I came across this business doing a Yelp search and reviews were high, so I gave it a try. I have been to this location 3 times now. 1st visit was perfect. Service was great and food was hot. I hate lukewarm food. The 1st visit I got baked potato soup & chicken fried chicken & homemade lemonade. 2nd visit service was great again. I ordered baked potato soup again, cheeseburger well done, no onions or pickles with lemonade. The burger is of ample size. I asked for a steak knife to cut it in half, the usual butter knife wasn't going to suffice. My waiter went to the kitchen and then returned letting me know they don't have any but the kitchen could cut it for me. I declined and decided the butter knife would have to do. After adding on my ketchup. I cut the burger in half only to find a medium cooked patty. Called my server over and he took off to the kitchen. I waited as they remade me a burger. The 2nd burger looked great but wasn't the burger I ordered. He whisked it away and went back to the kitchen. The 3rd burger was correct and I was grateful. My server apologized again. There was no other compensation for all that time. I really enjoyed the burger so I figured everyone has an off day. Plus 1st visit went amazingly. 3rd visit I decided to go with chicken fried chicken again but gravy on side and baked potato soup to start, no lemonade, just water. Service was much slower and my food was not as hot. The soup wasn't piping hot like before. It seemed as if had been sitting before being brought to me. The chicken was piping hot. The mashed potatoes & green beans were warm. As if they were plated while chicken was still cooking. Since COVID I understand the service and food industry is still recovering so I'm willing to try them again. The next trip will either keep them on my list or remove them. The Brussels sprouts were extremely oily, and very sugary sweet, I didn't taste the honey part. Hummus tasted like store bought dishes, nothing special.
