Noteworthy turkey, freshly sliced with great flavor; next time I'll get some deli meat to go. For hot we tried the Chicken Parm, which we also loved, and devoured! Chicken had a nice crust and was super moist! Service was fast & friendly. Other deli items looked good, will return to try more sandwiches and other items. I don't usually get excited to write a review, but here we go. I'm a fan. The food is good and they care about what they serve. The Tri-Tip sandwich is delicious. As good or better than Bruno's in Carmel, which is the prized standard when your a sandwich connoisseur like myself. Also, their Rueben sandwich is fantastic. I'm pretty sure anything they make is yummy. Everything seems homemade. This is a family owned and operated deli. The dad usually at the counter, and sometimes his family is there helping. The employees are also really on it too. They know the program. If you haven't eaten here, you gotta give them a try. read more

Service was quick & fast. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Turkey club was very fulfilling but my bread got soggy really quick and it got messy. Bummer... Probably will substitute with a different bread next time. Tri Tip was good, flavors were there. Meat portion was good for me but I'm sure the meat lovers would have like a few more slices added. Potato salad was OK. It had a lot of onion and some kind of kick to it, almost like horseradish. I'll definitely give it a try again with their other sandwiches. read more

After being a patron of both Mecca and Grinderz I'm disappointed. I've been here for nearly 35 years, and the previous owners were so friendly and helpful. This guy can't answer a question with out some sarcastic bad attitude as if I was bothering him. Wow this place is amazing. I have been there twice now and can say the pork belly Banh Mi sandwich is THE BEST. But runner ups would be the bratwurst, the Ruben, and according to my friend, the tuna melt. She ate the whole thing when normally she will only eat half of anything. I regret not capturing the beautiful Turkey Club I devoured yesterday. The tomato slices, bread, sauces, avocado and the meat were fresh. It was meat city in that sandwich. This is not a heavy meal either. It was the perfect size for a quick lunch. My sandwich wasn't falling apart within 2 minutes like most other sandwiches do. I usually prefer some hot sauce on my meals but this would've been just as delightful without it. I would eat it for breakfast, second breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and second dinner. First time visit for a lunch take-out. Very pleasant and efficient service. I was very happy with the Reuben sandwich I ordered, added drink and chips for $1 more, and lunch total was $11.25. Yup, it's me again! I just want to say that the customer service is great here! So friendly..I went once more to buy a favorite salat of mine. I went last week (6/3) on a Thursday but they did not have any. The gentleman behind the counter said he did not have any but he would have some made on Fri. or Sat.. I was going to go on Sat., but I can't was too busy. I did get there on Tues the 8th, and he had some. Got 1/2 lb. Made my day..but wait, there's more. Which I will not mention, but I just wanna say THANK YOU for your generosity and your customer service. It will not be forgotten. I am sorry that I did not get your name. But you know who you are! As an east coaster, this menu feels very east coast and traditional to me. The sweet peppers on the ribeye Cheese Steak and corn beef on the Ruben instead of pastrami are some examples. I was really excited to see a traditional Ruben on the menu and it was delicious. My wife's chicken parm sandwich came up a little short however. Although the bread was warm she said the chicken was ice cold which tells me they are taking the cold already cooked cutlets and rehiring them in the bread. Not super fresh, ended up being a dry sandwich and not right for $9. I'm interested in the cheesteak so I will be back for that, not sure if I can convince the wife again however. read more

I've used Yelp for years but never felt the need to create an account and leave a review. This place made me create one so people know how great the place is. To be fair I've only had 3 things there, all sandwiches, all very good. On my third trip I discovered the chicken parm sandwich. I'm hooked, I'll never get anything else. Fifteen bicycle riders descended on this delightful deli for a bite to eat and drink. We were greeted warmly by the owner, who is also a bicyclist, offering us half sandwiches (not on menu) and bringing out a large container of water to refill our bottles.
