Went there recently as a family of four we ended up getting the fisherman platter, fried shrimp dinner, and a small cup of chowder. The chowder was very good lots of clam in it and it was a very thin soup mix not the normal thick chowder. The shrimp dinner was very good it came with coleslaw and French fries, the shrimp(20$) was extremely good and I recommend it and was a big enough portion. Then the fisherman platter was very good it came with haddock, Calamari, Scallops,Shrimp, Clams and ,Fries(34$) it is like the average price for it and this one came with calamari which was very good. I get that I came to the restaurant the last night they were open before closing for the season. But it seemed that everything I wanted to order they were "out of". I was super excited to see a list of local brews only to have an option between sam adams and harpoon ipa. Also their menu is SO large it makes it really hard to figure out what to order...only to be told they are out of it and have to decide all over again. I wish they had a larger selection on gluten free options. Food was great. Staff was friendly. We had a beautiful view outside the windows as we ate brunch. There's a unique view of the Meadows and almost every table has an unobstructed view. Been coming and going past this place since before it ever opened ... stopped in today. Was very surprised at how good, fresh, and very reasonably prices the items were. I had fish and chips, almost more than I could eat ($13). My son has a burger 1/2 pound I believe (big), cooked to a perfect medium as ordered ($11). My wife had the lobster roll .. she never gets lobster unless we are on the dock in Maine .. her ordering it was a surprise to me ... it was generous, light on the mayo and very fresh large chunks of lobster .. we were both surprised ($25). She said it was very, very good I did see other food go past as we eat. The onion rings were very large (full platter - $8), the lobster BLTA (A for avocado) looks great, lady next to use got a Turkey Club that could easily feed two adults. Oh, and the fries we very good (came with all of our meal orders), tasted like fresh cut. Finally, my wife and I had coleslaw with our meal .. usually one does not eat that "thing" , my wife never does, but , wow, theirs was good .. had golden raisins, apples, cabbage, carrots, light on the mayo, and some sort of spice. This place is good. Really liked the lobster roll. Was pretty unimpressed with the clam chowder. Seafood is my favorite type of food, and the chowder was definitely on the lower end of favorites. Kind of tasted weird. French fries were good and fresh. I had a bite of my boyfriend's quesadilla and it was delicious. The waitress was so sweet and kind. Can't go wrong. Ever. Truth be told, we go for lunch all the time and I order the seafood boullabaise (sp?) almost every time - it's just so good! Got a gift card to come here while I waited for my car at Sudbay. My first thought was what does a seasonal seafood place know about breakfast... A lot. The food was as great as the service. This is not a bad review where I ended up stiffing the waitress. Given our current conditions wait staff need to get back on their feet. The evening started out well with the hostess getting us drinks while we waited and seating us within minutes of the expected time. Unfortunately, once we got seated the waiting began. I'm not sure if the waitress had too many tables or if the kitchen was overloaded or whether they messed up the order of the meals (which is what the waitress implied). The problem is that management has to recognize these issues and help, or talk to the customer. This is certainly not a cheap restaurant and I would expect service to live up to the pricing. I'm sure the food will be ok, but will be reheated because by the time the food came out we were ready to leave. So we just took it home. read more

I also had the clam chowder it wasn't terrible but honestly Campbell's is better. I went there last night with three friends. We were not from the area so picked this place based off of the yelp reviews which were almost 5 star. I wish the service was the same. We were seated before 8 p.m. and ordered by 8:15. We ordered one clam chowder which was watery and bland and took almost fifteen minutes to come. At about 9 we got our entrees. Which were a fried haddock plate a cheeseburger and a fried chicken salad. We all thought it was a bit ridiculous that those three things tool almost an hour to cook. Went Friday night with a group of 8. We changed times and # of group a couple times. Gina the person making reservations said they were very understanding. They were very busy and we had a little wait. No prob. We were seated and ordered drinks.Server did great with our large group. I got the Fish & Chips. Most places overcook the fish. To start with, the hostess was very rude and acted like we were a distraction and was put out that she had to help us. Although our food was outstanding, when we got the bill we were totally not prepared for how outrageous it cost! Sorry but catching lobster within a short distance does not justify charging 38.75 for Lazy Man's lobster which my husband ordered and I had the Lobster roll ($22). I usually don't mind spending $92 if the restaurant is well taken care of and it's a pleasant environment but this was a shack by the side of the road. We received a strong recommendation for lobsta land. Upon our arrival we were impressed with the neatness, cleanliness and decor of the restaurant and bar area. That said, the bartender was solely responsible for the bar area ( bar and tables surrounding the bar). The bartender who was later identified as Dawn had an unwelcoming attitude when we first walked in and immediately stressed to us that she was working alone and gave us a sigh indicated so. While ordering, one of the members in my party asked about the fish chowder.. Dawn replied quickly with a sub par answer and told us to " chop chop " she was busy . At peak season I would think that the restaurant would have the proper amount of wait staff to adequately service its customers. Went for breakfast and was very disappointed with one of the dishes. Wanted blueberry pancakes, but what they have are pancakes with the fruit on top not in the pancakes so I went for a cinnamon French toast, what a mistake. This past weekend was the first time that I was here for at least ten years. I really enjoyed it. I don't recommend the orange glazed salmon (was very sweet and also kind of dry).
