We decided to sit outside on the patio, which was a nice vibe. They had traditional Spanish music playing inside, which really added to the experience, and the overall atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. The restrooms were also clean, which I always appreciate. We started with the guacamole fresco and it was amazing, super fresh and exactly how I like it. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for $12 along with a sparkling water, and my partner got the lengua tacos with a side of refried beans. Not to mention, the presentation of these dishes were very satisfying to look at. Our food came out in under 10 minutes, which honestly surprised us in the best way! The staff checked on us consistently and made sure everything was good. My quesadilla came out hot and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Both of us left full and happy, and for the price, it was more than worth it. I'd recommend this place to any crowd really whether that be families, a casual lunch, a gathering, or even a date spot. No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.
