I dropped into Load & Go 4 times to browse & ask a lot of questions, as I knew nothing about creating a patio/materials/cost, etc..and they were always available to answer a bunch of my questions, whether I was purchasing or not. Only the owner seems to know which rocks are which?. So only one sales person?  They have a example box for the  pebbles outside the office, with no lables; if you ask them what is what, they scratch their heads or take the example back to the computer in hopes of getting a name. And the pebbles I wanted, they only sell by yard?  Waste of time. read more

I'm just a home consumer. We are converting our front yard from grass to Hardscape. We needed a lot of river pebbles and decomposed granite and it was costing a mint at Home Depot, bag by bag. The Load n Go's lose-materials costs were about 1/3 of Home Depot. The people at Load n Go are friendly, but businesslike. Super helpful and will help you determine the specs of the material you need. They have samples of lots of different stones and rock as well as cinderblock in brick. read more

The team is here great, but JOSE PARRA IS THE MAN. He's so easy to communicate with and so personable. We had a huge landscaping project and he was able to answer all my questions and was helpful from start to finish. The prices will generally be the same (off by a couple cents here and there) across all other companies but the service here is what sets them apart. And Jose has a lot to do with that. He truly is a gem. I know a lot of pros come here but it's great for the weekend warrior as well. And when you're not a pro, you don't necessarily know exactly what you want or how much. YouTube is not always the answer. That's why I'm grateful for Jose! He was patient, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. As for the materials - they've got a fair selection of flagstone. We bought a lot of sweet water and your base gravel and DG. We bought stabilized DG and am actually not sure what to compare it to but it isn't fine like sand so don't expect it to be! You will end up with some larger rock-like pieces that won't compact. I ended up using a broom to lightly remove those larger pieces. After a horrible experience with a local competitor I called Load N go and spoke to Jose Parra. I told him what I needed and within 30 minute he called me back and within 4 days my materials were delivered to my residence. Jose was able to accomplish what the previous company could not, Actually the previous company could get the product but I would have had to purchase more than I needed and it would have costed over 450.00. Jose is knowledgeable, helpful and efficient at what he does and the best part was I saved money. The delivery person was on time, polite and very helpful. My only suggestion is that they build out there web-site. Even though my experience with previous company was horrible it was their web-site that made it easy for an in experienced buyer like myself to navigate and chose the materials I needed. read more

We don't live that close to Glendale, but we always come back to Loan N' Go because they are incredibly respectful, service oriented, have a nice selection and have competitive prices. We just bought some great Palos Verdes boulders and smaller stones and Jose could not have been nicer. In the past, we have purchased beautiful flat stone for our backyard and the guys were very patient with us and helped us with how best to install and treat the stone. The place is a hole-in-the-wall location. It's easy to miss it driving by. Once you find it, the facility is pretty open for you to roam and look at inventory. Organization is so-so but they make up with really good customer service. JP and Jose P. were especially helpful with my project. They gave me plenty of good advice even when I was not sure I would buy from then at first. Needless to say I did buy from them and the job came out super awesome. So my flagstones were delivered, on time, in excellent shape and by a driver with rig which had a fork lift attached. The driver was able to put the load where it was needed. He was polite and worked out a solution with the garbage man who insisted he had the right of way on my small street. The rig driver moved huge truck like it was a Toyota pick up. I was impressed! Incredible customer service from Jose! I needed 3 super size bags (2,500 pounds each)of Del Rio pea gravel for a last minute project. They had 2 bags in stock. First time using Load N' Go Building Materials based on a recommendation from my stone mason. I spoke with JP and he addressed all my questions, provided a quote, and gave me the price for delivery to El Segundo. He also was able to save me a little money with an alternate product. Product arrived has stated and in the time frame assigned. Awesome product, looks great. I also ordered more product then I needed and they were very accommodating on the return minus the restocking fee which I would expect. I have previously gone to this business to buy rocks for my front yard display. It was always a pleasant experience. Not so this time. I am looking for the Southwest color scheme which I bought from them in the past. I only needed a few buckets. I spoke with the associate at the front desk. He informed me they no longer sold just that color and that it was mixed with other colors. He indicated that he did not want me to take all of the Southwest rocks as it would offset the color mixture. For real???? I was going to purchase a 3 gal. bucket full. Luckily for me there was another customer who told me about Sepulveda Building Materials which sells the rocks I am looking for in bucket quantities. I will go to Sepulveda. Don't like to shop at companies who have poor customer service and who discourage small sales. read more

Great resource for pavers and stone materials. I worked with Jose Parra who was very patient and helpful through my 3-4 visits before finally ordering my Stepstone pavers. Pricing was very fair and as a homeowner I felt welcomed even though the stone yard and set up appeared to be more for contractors. I've gotten boulders for my new front yard xeriscape at several different places, but the ones from Load n' Go are the prettiest. They had more of the ones with Southwestern colors and striations in them. And, they had some GORGEOUS rocks with onyx in them. From well-worn river rocks to rough and jagged, the stones make a statement! They also delivered a large order of stabilized DG (decomposed granite). I live in Redondo beach and I had one day to get my backyard project done. These guys are helpful and have great customer service. They loaded everything up for me and made it easy for me to carry by putting things in smaller bags. One tip I wish I would have known before is they have delivery service. If I would have known that ahead of time, I could have had them deliver everything I needed. But typically you have to book that out in advance. This place is the only place that appears locally when you do a google search, so I figured this was the place to go but boy do I regret it. It turns out there there are places that don't appear on google that charge 50% of what I paid for the same rock. $55 is what we were charged per on scoop of their cheapest rock. The Lava rock we bought was outrageously expensive at $160 cu.yd. Others places charge $25 per scoop it turns out. We totally got ripped off. Further, they charged $60 for delivery after saying $50 on the phone. Then, the bag of del rio rocks had so much sand in it that we felt even more cheated. As if that wasn't enough, the rock did not cover the area claimed, even though we spread it super thin. We felt cheated by this place from top to bottom...so do yourself a favor and avoid this place and ask your gardener or contractor for local rock places because apparently they are not all listed on Google. read more
