Very disappointed September 12 2026 that the dozen live crabs advertised as 6 3/4 to 7 inch over…read morethe phone and on the board at the shop actually measured at 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 for 9 with the other 3 dead on 6/3/4. When I brought it to the attention of the front help they were very polite and very apologetic but could only offer me a refund. The owner presorts all the crab and they could not make any exceptions. I gave them the crabs back and they went right back to the cooler for the next unexpecting victim and took the refund. They did not have any bigger crabs after checking to correct the sizes and were not able to lower the price for the ones that they gave me nor did they offer to call the owner and make it right for me. I drove 25 mins from Cambridge for the bigger size and spent 35 mins waiting for them to find me the size they had offered me while the line was out the door the whole time . Measure your crabs. This is not the first time that I have had a disappointing experience at this business.

While we were in the area, we decided to have lunch at the Chesapeake Landing…read more Their menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps, soups, salads, steamed seafood, platters, ribs, pastas, fried chicken, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and kid options. We ordered: +a cup of Cream of Crab - this was thick, creamy, and pretty delicious! +the Crab Dip - served with toasted focaccia; could have used freshly-grated cheese; not much crab, and there was no flavor; the focaccia was also chewy and not well-toasted +the Crab Cakes - choice of having them broiled or friend, and we went for the broiled; not too much filler, but these just were not fresh and had no seasoning, whatsoever; the hot sauce didn't help, but their house tartar sauce was pretty good +Shrimp Scampi - with butterflied shrimp on a bed of linguini, dressed in a garlic sauce; shrimp were overcooked and rubbery, and was not fresh; the sauce was way too light and didn't taste like garlic sauce +Stuffed Shrimp - shrimp topped with crab imperial; these were just 'okay', but could have been served piping hot +coleslaw - had a nice tang +potato salad - creamy and tasty +onion rings - large and crispy; slightly overcooked +sweet potato fries - these were yummy! +sweet tea - nice and refreshing The basket of homemade cornbread was tasty, and the hot dinner rolls were so soft and fluffy! Service was friendly and attentive. The place is a bit outdated, and you can tell many locals come here. There is a little seafood counter area that you could purchase fresh seafood and condiments; they also have various weekend events, such as AYCE buffets. No reservations was necessary, as we did a walk-in and were seated immediately. Plenty of parking in their large lot. +homemade cornbread and dinner rolls +Cream of Crab soup +sweet tea +friendly service +ample parking

The views are amazing (even from inside)....they closed the tiki area or outside dock areas early this year....so we had to view the water from the windows... Thats really were amazing ended.... The busboy - Trace / Chase was amazing....we left a tip as he was doing great! The food was absolutely mid in every way....bland, presentation....freshness - ALL MID....and overpriced (bill for 2 - sans alcohol = $63) The staff really didn't seem all that attentive (other than the busboy) - from the front to waitress to managers....

Receptionist then responded they had 12 Jumbos left which I reserved over phone. Arrived to the restaurant, placed order for remaining Jumbo crabs only to find out they were the same size as yesterday's crabs. Brought it to their attention and receptionist proceeded to measure the crab and tell me I must have gotten a discount yesterday.

We were a party of 14 and were disappointed to learn that the restaurant could not provide separate…read morechecks and could accept only six credit cards. We were told that cash would be collected first, with the remaining balance divided evenly among the cardholders. We spoke with one of the part owners, who explained that this was a limitation of the restaurant's software. While we understand that software can have limitations, customers should not have to bear the inconvenience. We have dined at many restaurants with large groups and have never encountered this issue. We feel that a restaurant should have a system in place that allows customers to pay their individual portions in a reasonable and convenient manner. The food and atmosphere may be one thing, but customer service includes making the payment process as easy as possible for your guests. In this case, we did not feel that was accomplished.

Unbelievable litte gem!…read more Hubby and I took a shakedown trip in our camper and as luck would have it, it would rain the first day. We knew this in advance (thank you weatherman!) so we decided that we would look for a place to have dinner on the shore. I checked what was close to Martinak State Park and one of the places that sounded good to my husband was the Preston Roadhouse Bar and Grill, so we decided to give it a whirl. We love small business and try to support them whenever we can. It's a cute little store front in the sleepy little town of Preston. You can appreciate these calm little places when you have to hustle and bustle through Baltimore daily. I was a little worried that we weren't *dressed* (hey, we were camping!), but casual works here for sure. We sort of took a seat because they seemed busy and we were not quite sure what to do, but no worries, it was fine....I would wait for a server to come over though. We were given menus and pretty much a few minutes later, our server Luke came over to take our drink orders which we promptly gave him. Upon bringing back the menus, he told us about all of their specials that evening. I decided to go for one of them which was the scallops and Parmesan risotto. My husband selected the shrimp and grits which was also on my radar. I figured that I could have some of his. As an appetizer, we ordered the crispy brussel sprouts. Our drinks arrived and a few minutes later, we were dining on these wonderful brussel sprouts! They were fried perfectly and had a nice topping to include cranberry, maple bacon and a balsamic glaze which balanced them out perfectly! Right on cue, our dinners arrived. Everything was good perfectly. The scallops were a nice size and the risotto was delicious. I really did love my husband's dish of shrimp and grits. I would have been just as happy with that one too. The grits were cheesy, the shrimps were a beautiful size and it had a smattering of pork barbecue in the middle of the grits. Very tasty and everything was served at the right temperature. We had no room for dessert....we couldn't finish our dinners. The dessert menu and the desserts brought out looked scrumptious though, so we would definitely go for it! Luke was an amazing server....he gave us his suggestions when we asked, something that I totally appreciate, because not only do they know what has been going out, but with many of the servers we know, they will tell us exactly what they enjoy....and the majority of the time (barring actual fish speaking for me as I don't care for it) they are right on! If you are just on a ride to the shore or if you live in the area, I would give them a try....very friendly little place!
