We decided to go to Suicide on Friday evening before attending a marriage conference at the Hyatt. We got there pretty early around 4pm. It was quiet and empty. We were seated right away. Our waitress Holly was attentive and knowledgeable. My husband ordered the Suicide Oysters and I ordered the Casino Clams for appetizers. I did not try his but mine were so small I had trouble finding the clam, and they smelled so much like feet. I think I had a different idea of Casino Clams, I was very disappointed. He also said his was nothing to write home about. I ordered the Delmonico Steak, he ordered the filet and we each added a lobster tail. Our steaks were wonderful. Cooked and seasoned perfectly - I'm still thinking about it haha! Our lobster tails on the other hand were so overcooked we had to basically swallow them whole. I ordered the potato of the day which was crazy potato's and the vegetable of the day which was kale -- both of those were ultimately great. Before we got our check we heard the waitress taking care of the table behind us mention dessert -- an eclair to be exact and I convinced my husband to get one -- it was either going to be really good or really bad judging by our experience. I wish I could tell you it was the most fabulous eclair I'd ever had and it made up for the $40 worth of terrible appetizers but that would be a lie :( It was huge, but it was frozen! I took it home to let it thaw out and the chocolate on top was still so thick 6hours later that I couldn't even bite into it. I had to flip it around and eat it with a fork on the side with the pastry. We expected so much more from this restaurant especially for what we paid. We dined with a large group and half of our table didn't eat their meal because it was so bad. It also took over an hour for appetizers to come out, and at least another 30 for entrees. One person's sandwich was basically raw in the middle, and my friend's filet mignon arrived as two hard strips on a piece of soggy white bread. My husband ordered fried flounder but it came out in a butter sauce. It was flooded in the butter sauce. We finally got the waitress to tell her after about 15 to 20 minutes. Most cases they have good food and service. They do tend to be on the hight side for blue crabs and some seafood where you can get it cheaper in other places. If you like a good sit down meal then I would suggest getting a window seat reserved by calling ahead but expect to pay a cost for your meal and drinks. read more

The restaurant offers many specials and I will check them all out soon enough. They have a lot of outdoor seats along with indoor seating. They have a few ferry boats that I hear are used for all-you-can-eat crab cruises. The food was amazing and the service was good. This is the first time I have had to write a BAD review. My husband and I were having dinner at Suicide Bridge. Our waitress brought us sweet tea. She asked if we were ready to order. Yes, we were, I asked for a Mud Slide, she said sure. Twenty minutes later she brought my drink. We ordered our food. THIS IS WHEN IT GETS REAL GOOD. She brings us rolls and butter with two dirty dishes to use. Luckly, we had napkins to place our rolls on. I mention it to her; I got OH sorry. My ribs came out still with the silver skin attached, the coleslaw was sitting in a pool of juice. (The fries were fairly good) My husband just got a burger he ate about half and threw the rest away. Oh yes, the people that were working there sat two table behind us. We could hear them complaining in general and using the F word. Not great to hear during your dinner experience. So, no we did not have a good experience. This week coming is our Anniversary, I typically say let go to Suicide Bridge. Needless to say, that will not be happening for a long time. Wow !! My wife and I had the crab cake sandwich and cream of crab soup. Both were amazing ! The crab cake was HUGE with back fin meat on a buttered roll. The soup was delicious with lots of crab meat. We sat by the water which was a beautiful view. The service was also good. We live in PA so it's a treat to get an excellent crab cake !!! read more

We have lived in Cambridge full-time since 2007 and have been coming to Suicide bridge restaurant for over 30 years. During that time it has had its ups and downs, but mostly ups. Today we came by boat for lunch with our party of four. I think the pictures will speak for themselves, Erica's salad with scallops, shrimp, and crab meat in a light sauce, top greens and tomatoes with their homemade blue cheese dressing, a special of the day, lobster sliders that looked and tasted absolutely wonderful, an appetizer sampler and a crab dip with French roll. My salad was wonderful with the scallops being lightly cooked as well as the shrimp and the crab meat was lovely. I don't have a picture of the crab dip and bread, but my wife assured me it was delicious. Suicide bridge restaurant continues to reinvent themselves, and I think anyone going there would certainly be able to find something they would love on the menu. read more

I am going to start out to say that before arrival, I was very hungry so I could enjoy the crabs and was a little but hangry. Okay... here we go with the review. Hubby booked the event for us to travel on the paddleboat which was booked for June 11th, but he received a voice message a few nights before to advise the ride was postponed without any reason or warning. Hubby made arrangements to reschedule for June 18th. It took us about less 2 hours with a little traffic to arrive. There was plenty of parking. I had to immediately relieve myself and did find outdoor restrooms available. Sadly I did not check the utilities prior, and had to quickly go, but to find out the water was not turned on. There was no way to flush or wash my hands but thank God I keep wipes and hand sanitizer on me. I felt embarrassed to leave the bathroom in it's condition. I did advise a staff member who happened to be walking by. She apologized, but I was still embarrassed. We walked up the pier/dock to the boat. We were unsure which boat was ours. Moments later, a staff member advised us to please be patient while they were unloading and reloading another boat due to technical difficulties. Some guests were happy with the delay, since they were running late. We were technically to board at 12pm, I think we finally able to board about after 12:30 or so. We gave our names and we advised that we were on the bottom deck, 2nd table to the right. The reservation was for us to be on the top deck, no accommodation given. Once on board and inside we began to search the table but we never found our name on either of the tables or neither side. We even checked on the upper deck, but it was fully booked for a private party. This is where I was beginning to loose my patience and cool. We then walked back outside to advise we could not find the said table in question and no one seem to have a clue on what was happening. So we then went back inside since the check in person was busy checking everyone else in. We sat down at a table in the back not even set up. Everyone else was being catered to, had cole slaw awaiting and drinks being served. Several staff members did seem concerned, but it still took several minutes before anyone dealt with us and figured out where we were to sit. The boat is in dire need of some upgrades. Our table was wobbly and you see the wall paper was coming undone, grease stains along the walls, as well as food stains right near me. Even the drapes could use some TLC. Hubby showed me the email or messages from the staff when rescheduling and was offered a few comp drinks, but we were unable to deal with it, so no birthday drink for me. There is only bar for the entire boat, so the entire party drop upstairs came down for drinks and were standing everywhere and even putting there back ends near our small table. Hubby ended up moving closer to the window side of the table to avoid being bumped by the lively party. Once we started to take sail, the staff began to serve us appetizers. Each guest was served a bowl of cole slaw, then one ear of corn per guest!! Thank God hubby doesn't eat corn on the cob. And they were serves at warm temperatures, but the crab seasoning was delicious on top of the corn. Then we were served crab soup and fried chicken and fried clams. The chicken was salty and hard to eat, but hubby ate around the skin. We didn't care for the clams since they were overcooked and not edible to enjoy. The staff came around and cleared the each table to make way for the crabs. We wished there were other food options for people who may not eat crabs. But a staff did give hubby another bowl of soup. The male crabs were very heavy and seasoned well. For dessert, we had cheesecake, which was good and we were able to get another slice. I appreciate the staff for giving me some sliced lemons so that I can wash my hands. Warning, the restrooms are very small and please be careful when you are at the sink, since the door is directly near the sink and you can be easily hit by the door if no one is aware. I kept the door ajar to avoid being hit. The boat did stop a few times to board a few late comers and to bring additional food items for the party guests. Overall, we might do it again just for the crabs. We did cruise around for about 3 hrs and saw some nice houses near the water. read more

We had such a great experience. Went there with my mom this past weekend. We just lost our dad at Christmas. It was one of their favorite spots. We celebrated with a mudslide for his birthday. I went to Suicide Bridge as a part of a large group (7 people) with a reservation on a Saturday night, and it was my first time seeing and partaking in a crab feast. The restaurant is situated beautifully along Cabin Creek with a nice view of the water. There is plenty of indoor seating and a few nice outdoor spots by the outdoors bar. Our group sat inside by a window, and we had a wonderfully friendly, humorous, and attentive waitress. Everyone at the table ordered the crab feast except for myself and one other. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat my weight in crabs, so I opted for a cup of the cream of crab soup and the grilled rockfish with green beans and red potatoes. The cream of crab soup was delicious and came out at the perfect temperature. The grilled rockfish came out in 3 smaller pieces vs the one or two large pieces I had envisioned, but it still tasted goo. The green beans and potatoes were alright - not a whole lot of seasoning - but they were fresh. From what I could visually tell about the crab feast, it is a feast for sure. Bread rolls, corn on the cob, baskets of clam strips (had me drooling here), coleslaw, Maryland crab soup, fried chicken, and trays of steamed crabs. The feast is AYCE, but really I don't see how anyone is able to order another round of anything (well... maybe the soup). The presentation was stunning, and never had I ever seen so many steamed crabs with such a beautiful color and dusting of seasoning. Sad to say that we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The view was beautiful, our server was very friendly and attentive, but the food was not good. We had oysters Rockefeller and it was just too much white cheesy sauce, could barely find the oyster and not authentic with little spinach and no hollandaise sauce. I had cream of crab soup and my husband had the Maryland crab soup. He said that the soup was not good and hardly had any crabmeat or hearty vegetables. He ordered jumbo steamed crabs and some were quite smaller than jumbos. My crab cake was ok, but should have had more crab than filler. Sorry, but we won't be going back. read more

I had never been to this place but had heard a lot about it, so I was looking forward to getting out there. I am from Annapolis & I planned to meet a friend from the DE shore, so this place is a good halfway point. I had no trouble getting there (relying on my GPS), because there are a bunch of back roads, and it is definitely off the beaten track. My friend got thoroughly lost, so I ended up waiting well over an hour for her. They gave us a table in a main dining room not far from the fireplace. I was getting hungry, so I ordered a half dozen oysters. They were really good and fresh, and they were the best item of the day. Our server was Angel. She was very attentive and patient while I was waiting for my friend. She brought out some warm rolls, which were delicious. When my friend finally arrived, we put in our main order. I tried a cup of the Maryland crab soup (just ok), and I ordered the blackened rockfish tacos. They, too, were OK; nothing sensational, but they came with tasty fries. My friend ordered the surf & turf burger. This is a hamburger with crab on top. She said the crab was very good, but the burger was not cooked well enough for her. It came with fries too, but nothing else on the plate with the burger, like lettuce or tomato. We decided to share a dessert. They had some Valentines Day specials, so we tried a chocolate covered strawberry cheesecake. Again, the cheesecake was fine, but nothing too rich or decadent. I had not looked on Yelp before going to see what others recommend. I will give this place another try in warmer weather and see what other items may be recommended. read more

We were here visiting our friends as they live pretty close to this restaurant. This is the only restaurant in that area so we had no choice but to try this restaurant for lunch. To my surprise the food was excellent. I am not a huge fan of crab cakes so I was hesitant to order crab cakes but our server changed my mind into trying their crab cakes. She mentioned that they have the best crab cakes in MD. I have had crab cakes in few places and I have always been disappointed by fishy flavor. Crab cakes in this restaurant was top notch. Absolutely not fishy. It was so fresh. Loved everything about it. BBQ shrimp wrapped in bacon was delicious as well. For entrees we ordered shrimp and scallop pasta and grilled scallops. Absolutely loved the sauce in the pasta. I think it's chef's special here. Definitely worth it. Quantity is huge. Lots of food to take home for another meal. Service was fantastic!! Ambiance sitting upstairs by the window with as great. Service was average. Food was average. Crab dip had no flavor- put the ole bay on it and that helped. Crab balls had no flavor Entrees - 3 steak and coconut shrimp, shrimp was delicious but the steaks on all 3 entrees were way over cooked to what was ordered and no seasoning on them. Side garden salads - the cucumbers need to be cut up smaller, wish I took at pic they were almost an inch thick. Made it hard to cut with a butter knife. 1- crab au gratin- my mom liked it. I tasted it. It was good and looked full of lump crab meat. Service- he was very friendly but not observant. The entrees came but no steak knives to cut the steak. Staff was very friendly, and the outside deck was dog friendly (it was a hot day and they brought a dog bowl with ice water out first thing.) oh, the food! A tragic disappointment. Bland, bland, bland, and more bland. So bland even the salt needed salt. It's as if they put no seasoning on anything. It's the first time I had to put salt on soft-shell crabs to make them taste like anything. My wife had a filet steak, and they managed to make that tasteless too. Oyster chowder was creamy and had plenty of oysters, but needed half a shaker of salt and pepper before it tasted like anything. Clams and oysters on the half-shell were fresh, but someone in the back needs to learn how to shuck, because we had to fight with every single one of them to get them free from the shells. Service was friendly, but not very skilled. There were several mistakes with our order, and items were dropped on the floor with just an "oops", but no apology. The only thing that I wasn't really pleased with was the eclair I ordered for dessert.
