First time eating at Bullock's today. We split a cheesesteak and smash burger w/ fries and soda. The cheesesteak was clearly the winner, which was crazy delicious, good. The smash burger was good, but the true star of the show was the cheesesteak. AHHH the cheesesteak... with fried onions, mushrooms, and American cheese it's definitely worth trying. I was not a fan of the fries. I would skip next time. The fries have that coating on the outside of the fry, so they don't have to make fries to order, and they stay warmer and crispy longer. This deli is old school style with dine in or out and serving old school favorites. They sell my favorite summer side dish strawberry pretzel salad. Just be careful and check the expiration dates on the" to go items" because this salad sell date was a day expired. (See pic.} read more

They have the best crispy fries! I usually get their rockfish platter :) very delicious. I've also had their breakfast which is also good. I definitely should try more stuff, my boyfriend also LOVES their food. A Denton staple for sure. Service is quick, they've been giving out free donuts which is so sweet. Wow! Now this was a genuine surprise! Was thinking it was your everyday run of the mill stop n grab milk n bread type place but was pleased to find a full menu of delicious food and an ice cream parlor to boot! Definitely worth a re-visit! We will be back! read more

The prices are ridiculous especially in a town such as Denton where cost of living is much lower. They used to have the best chicken tenders but now they are some nasty rubber and the cost is insane. I don't understand why the prices are so ridiculous there. It's a cool place but not worth the prices read more

Ordered hot ham & cheese special and tomato soup. The soup was watered down so requested a small container of milk. Had no problem with that at all. Now we come to the sandwich... definitely nice and hot, nice slice of melted cheese, but the ham was so salty. My companion had an Italian sub...ham not salty. The young person said they would see what they could do. They came back and said that's the way it comes. Explained to him the sub was not salty. He went back and had a new one made. It wasn't heated, which was fine by me BUT it was still salty ham. Just got a bag and told him I'd take it home, soak it in water like we did with Virginia ham and eat it tomorrow for lunch. The pretzel bread was delicious but the ham would have been fantastic after two days in a desert without water. So I'm pleased with correcting my soup but no kudos on the sandwich. read more

We searched Yelp to find someplace to grab lunch on our way back to the airport and found this place that we thought we would check out. We arrived a little before noon on a Saturday. One side is ice cream and the other side is a deli with seating in the middle. We entered the deli side and there were quite a few people waiting, placing orders or picking up. We asked for a menu at the counter and stood back as we looked it over. They have breakfast items, cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, burgers, chicken, ice cream shakes, etc. My wife decided to get a club sandwich with roast beef and I chose a cheese steak. We paid at the counter and were told they would bring it to our table. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and looked awesome. The club sandwich was huge! Everything tasted good and it hit the spot. The prices are very reasonable as well. We would recommend checking it out. read more

Everything about the place was amazing. Attractive and friendly employees. Great quality food, and great quantity with the food you buy. I am VERY glad that, when visiting Denton, I chose Bullock's to eat at. The atmosphere has a VERY retro look. Also, the name "Bullock's Deli" is being subtle, as this is a gas station, deli, convenience store, AND ice cream parlor all jam packed into one. This is most like the go-to place for Dentonians, as the employees know most of the customers. If I come back to Denton, most likely, I'll be back. read more

Check....This.....Out!!! This is a gas station, convenient store, AWSOME food deli, Ice cream parlor that also sell cakes. I mean, this store has it all. Serving breakfast and lunch options, they have weekly food specials which, if you are there and the Tostada is on the board, do yourself a flavor and order it!! OMG, you will not be alone. Drinks are included which you serve yourself at there drink Station. You are going to say "oh wow", when you walk in. They also individually package their selfmade egg salad, chicken salad, and much much more. They make it all! This truly is my favorite place to visit. Today was the Club sandwich. A family friendly business, with good service, a convenient store with beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and snacks, gas, multiple to go options, and local baked goods and produce as well! Lousy! They don't deserve any stars! I was passing thru town and stopped for breakfast. I ordered a bagel and it was raw dough! It was like they baked it for half the time they should have. What an establishment -- totally original and well worth a visit. A wide range of deli sandwiches, ice cream, and sweet treats. The food is satisfying (albeit predictable) but really it's the vibe. Didn't know what to expect but didn't want the typical fast food. It appeared to be a little off the beaten path convenience store. But 10 ladies in the kitchen were making large boxes of food to go! Fresh stuffed subs, chewy bread, good fries, Lemon Joe Tea bottled in New Jersey, it was great. - LARGE COLD CUT SUB, got red hots and the goodies - SMALL TURKEY AND PEPPERJACK CHEESE, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles on the side - FRIES, no ketchup needed with the old bay seasoning, slightly salty but tasty There's a slight wait and we had to ask for our fries 3 times but it was worth it. I really like grabbing a bite at Bullocks's Deli. They have a pretty broad menu covering breakfast through dinner. Lots of early morning risers get a great breakfast and some coffee to start the day. There are usually specials every day as well. They make a pretty good sub sandwich and if you like cheesesteak, they've got you covered too! They even have seasonal seafood items. Congratulations on your 47th Anniversary!!! Service was spot on! I ordered 6 subs by phone. Some were included in the anniversary sale some were not. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. It took me 22 min to drive to you. I walked in, told the waiting cashier my name, was checked out, handed all of the order and walked out. There must have been at least 10 people waiting- guess they didn't think to order a head. Everything in the order was correct and delicious as always, this is why you are celebrating 47 years. We love Bullocks. We recently moved to the area and are now frequent customers. We recently used them for a party we hosted and we couldn't be more happy with how all the food turned out. We highly suggest the sandwich trays and the pasta/potato salads are great too! The employees there are very friendly, helpful, and efficient. We were driving through Denton and starved. Apparently many of the restuarants were closed on Mondays but Bullocks Deli was not. The reviews looked pretty good so we gave it a go. Best decision! The sandwiches are huge and tasty, the potato wedges were very yummy. I topped it off with a root beer and was in heaven. This is must if you ever find yourself in Denton. Foilowed Yelp reviews to try Bullock's a few weeks ago on the way to the beach. Better than the fast food by the highway, and they're clearly trying, but our lunch came up short. You need to keep driving on into Denton and ignore the feeling you've gone too far. Bullock's occupies most of a small shopping center, with ample parking. Inside, a bit confusing. Very small menu board overhead lists a few of their offerings, and a there's a small counter where you give your order to one of the busy workers behind it. Looks like you're in a small, cluttered convenience store, but once you've ordered, keep walking toward the ice cream counter, and you'll find yourself in a big dining area. Service was friendly but not fast, and the chicken cheesesteak sub was a curious thing, some bits of cooked chicken and melted American cheese on an okay roll. The fries were better, and my companion loved the crabcake sandwich. Clean individual restrooms were a nice surprise to we travelers. Young people were constantly bustling over the tables, spraying and wiping down, but there was a bit of a housefly problem nonetheless. Would consider Bullock's again, but with adjusted expectations. read more

Huge portions. When I ordered two large subs for my wife and I I noticed a sly grin on the waitress. When she brought the subs I saw why. They were tasty and of course, we needed takeout containers. Just picked up my order and again it is wrong. Don't know how it is so hard to make two omelettes with minimal special requests. When you ask for your home fries to be extra extra crispy and they are soggy before you walk out the door with the order as well as your scrapple asked for an extra crispy and it's mushy just seems like they cannot follow requests. Before I walked out a man brought a sandwich back in that was given to him incorrectly and the woman working went to the prep table, grabbed the right sandwich and told the prep cook to RE-WRAP the sandwich that the man had taken out of the store, unwrapped, touched and brought back in. She will now be giving that sandwich to another customer. THAT IS DISGUSTING. I WILL NOT be ordering food here again. read more

This has become our go-to spot for lunch/dinner after our hunting trips to the shore. The service has always been friendly and quick. The food is what you might expect from a local Deli that consistently gets rated 5/5 stars. My personal favorites are the Italian sub (with everything) and Cheese steak sub. A convenient and satisfying stop in Denton a minute off the highway from DMV to Delaware beaches. Obviously a favorite of the locals. Bright, airy, clean. Standard menu was not vegan friendly. Leaving a review hoping that they will use it as constructive criticism. We have received good food that previous 10 or so times we have stopped there. Yesterday we placed order by phone and were told 20 minutes. The time was between lunch and dinner about 3 pm. When we arrived 20 minutes later order was not ready. Many women in the back talking but only looked like one person was working. When we received our order (10 minutes later) the Reuben was not cut all the way through and bread was soggy from sitting, the shrimp salad wrap had no flavor other than heavy old bay. The rockfish tenders were cooked in old oil and not very good. Very disappointed. I hope management addresses the issue because this is normally a very good place to eat. read more

Strange place... Deli-gas station-ice cream shop-loto and fishing license sales- and beer. To someone from PA - it boggles the mind.
